Food is amazing! I will say the salsa that comes on the tacos is a little spicy so i always ask for it on the side.

Chicken chimichanga is off the hook! Smother that bad boy with sour cream with some of their red and green salsa and your set. The green wet burrito was delicious, spicy not to much but tangy. Loved every bite. They keep cooking like this I’m gonna live there.

We just moved around the corner and are so happy to find this restaurant. The service has been amazing every time! They are so nice and helpful when you go in. Food is always prompt and fresh. Carnitas is delicious and the salsa is actually spicy! Wet burritos with red sauce will light you up but in the best way! We will definitely be back!!!

Food was just alright and unfortunately one of the burritos was made incorrectly.

This was a great little spot! Food was great and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was small with few tables for seating, but the service was fast and you are in and out of there fairly quickly. They had 1 guy taking orders and another in back cooking and it looked like they had a great system down that worked for them last night. I will definitely be coming back here!

Young female taking orders is slow. Never going back. I’ll stick to chemas tacos around the corner. at least I won’t have to deal with slow employees. To top it off I wasn’t the only one dissatisfied by her service apparently a phone order by another customer was never even jotted down by the staff. I never heard staff apologize to the customer. When I asked for lemons for my tacos staff suggested I eat them without(laziness). On top of that cashier asked what size drink I wanted and when I asked for visuals she said we only carry one size… I was just as confused. Food is good, but what’s good food with horrible service?

I like the food here, but the service is terrible! They’re supposed to open at 10:30 am. I called at 10:35 and put in an order for pickup for a breakfast burrito. The guy told me they were running a late that morning and that my breakfast burrito would be ready in 15 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes and they still hadn’t even started making my burrito. I had to wait there while they made it. Completely unprofessional! There’s a reason I called in my order, because I was short on time!

Went here for lunch today. Ordered a hard shell taco with chicken and a carne asada burrito. Both items were yummy. The ingredients taste fresh and the green chile(salsa) went great with both. They even gave me an orange slice to clean my pallet afterwards.

This little taco place has some pretty tasty Mexican food. I’ve had a variety of their tacos from asada, chicken, & al pastor. The al pastor is by far my favorite. They season the meat perfectly & make them street taco size so you can eat a few! I’ve also had the sopes & they did not disappoint. You will be happy you go here & support this small business!

Looking for a great little spot to get Mexican food at great prices. This is the spot! Everything I have tried is great! I have my co workers hooked. Borrego fries must be tried, my favorite! The employees are always friendly and give great customer service!

I just recently came to this location to enjoy a lunch with my wife. She works in the area and this place was close by and had some decent reviews. We came in and got a sampler of items off the menu. We started with a muleta made of carne asada and tons of cheese inside. I would definitely order this a gain because I love quesadilla’s but I rather eat corn tortillas. Then we asked for 4 tacos two each pastor and asada and they both had great flavor and crispy edges to the tortilla that I also like when they get dipped in Manteca. Then we split a sope of asada that was covered in toppings and filled with flavor so we loved it. Lastly we got the beef hard shell taco that did leave me disappointed but that could have been because I was getting full or the flavor wasn’t out of control like the rest of the items. Also I want to mention that I added the red salsa to all of these because it had a great smoky flavor. All in all a great location and good food not too shabby and definitely a 4 star spot.

This place truly doesn’t deserve not one star. My husband was craving hard tacos and man were we disappointed! We had to take the meat out. It was so hard and inedible. I can’t believe anyone would serve this to a customer. I posted a picture as evidence. Waste of money.

Just«meh». $.50 for all refills, $.25 charge for debit/credit, no orange bang, 2 – 3 jarritos flavors(tamarind, orange, & grapefruit), no waiter service, no complimentary chips & salsa, and it was a little too warm inside(no AC). The carne asada was over cooked and needed more flavor. The al pastor was too chewy and also needed more flavor. Side of salsa is good and again, there was no complimentary chips and salsa which was very disappointing as you’re waiting for your meal… and while you have to wait again after they prepare your order incorrectly. My search for great tasting al pastor and carne asada continues.

I love this place! Borrego’s Tacos is relatively new to Whittier and my boyfriend and I eat there almost weekly! I don’t normally order carne asada but their’s is delicious! They also have great chicken and al pastor. I love that the quality of their meat is very good. Also their salsa’s are perfectly spicy! Yum! I always order a carne asada burrito and I love that they grill the tortilla on each side. My bf orders the al pastor quesadilla and that’s pretty delicious too. It even comes with guac! I came one morning and they were running a little late on opening so I had to wait in my car for about 15 minutes. When they opened they came out and got me and gave me drinks on the house for waiting. Everyone that works there is nice and the place is very clean. Love it!

Just went back to Borrego’s Tacos. After my last visit, I was not expecting anything different. I was pleasantly surprised . I had the the carne asada wet burrito. It was very tasty. I also tried the red pork tamale. It was very good. It is a good little Mexican food place.

The food is better than most places around. I personally like the burritos and hard shell tacos. Taco Tuesday $ 1 The woman working the register is very polite and helped my several times pick what to eat. I love mex food and love their salsa too.
