I live in Carson and was visiting family in Whittier. I Unilocaled to find a good pizza place in Whittier and based on the ratings chose California Pizza Chef. Service was friendly, when I asked for suggestions the girl who answered the phone actually gave me her favorite pizzas and didn’t just say all of the food is good. That helped make my decision and it was awesome. I ordered a lot of pies, cheese, pizza blanca(staff recommendation), vegetarian, chorizo, pepperoni/sausage/mushroom. When we started opening the pizza boxes we kept oooing and awwwing because they all looked really delicious. We were all happily surprised and ate more pizza than we normally would if we had bought from a chain pizza restaurant. If I’m in the area again or even if I’m not but in the mood for really good pizza I am going back to California Pizza Chef because it was so delicious.

Excellent service. Very nice. Lunch special is a steal. Good size side salad. The chicken in my panini was cooked to perfection. Nice avocado. The bread itself was a little stiff, but it may be the nature of the sandwich itself. The size was large enough for lunch. I could see myself returning to try something else on the menu.

I really enjoyed this place. Fresh dough and great sauce. I would have rated 5 stars but a little deduct for the price. It’s a bit more than other places in the area.

This one time, I got lost and a miracle happened! I ended up at CaPiChe and tried their jalapeño cream cheese calzon and finally knew what true love meant. The staff was friendly and gave us our pizza with a smile. Unfortunately I’m rarely in the area but if I’m around I’d definitely come back!

Worked a 16 hour day because it a Black Friday and we work in retail, as you can imagine we took little to no breaks, when we got home we wanted to order a pizza and wings to relax after a hard and long day of retail madness. I placed my order through eat 24 and waited for 1hour and 30 mins. I received a confirmation with time stamp and waited, waited and waited. We finally called the shop and no one answered. Very disappointing!!!

My husband and I had the BBQ chicken pizza. The pizza hit the spot. We loved how thin and crispy the pizza was and their service was excellent. The cashier was on her break, but did not hesitate to help us when we needed something. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Friendly service and cute seasonal decorations! They even show the Laker games, so I don’t have to worry about paying Time Warner. I can spend my money on pizza instead. My favorite pizzas were the pizza blanca(almost like fettuccini alfredo on pizza) and the deluxe. And if you want veggies, their salads are huge! I still need to try their other offerings so I will definitely be back!

I am very excited about having this place walking distance from home. I’ll share why after. As far as pizza we had a pepperoni with xtra cheese, nothing special. We also had the pizza blanca which was outstanding! The staff was friendly and attentive. They just opened, and provided us with a sample of pastrami and mushroom pizza that was pretty damned good too. They offered us a free desert to share and we opted for a slice of pumpkin cheese cake. They left it with us and sought feed back if we would care to offer it. Well i usually get excited about the prospect of potentially helping a young business provide a better product. Unfortunately, i was disappointed in that really the only thing i would do different is drop some whipped cream on it. As to why am i excited about this place? They are activley attempting to create new flavors of pizza by incorporating popular ingredients not commonly found on pizza. While im sure they will make some eww pizzas(for my pallet, yours may agree with the flavor) those gems that often come out of a kitchen, with an ambitious chef at the helm, can be like finding gold. I will be checking in from time to time to see if i can in fact exclaim eureka. Why only 4 stars? They are just not 5 star worthy just yet. The service and attentiveness would have put them at 4.5, but as i cant give half a star, they’ll have to settle on 4. Looking forward to ammending this to five someday. Give them a shot, their menu may already have a gem we just didn’t try, yet.
