It was ok and too small. They do have a lot of cool old records, books and movies. Today I decided to check it out since I was driving by lambert road and there was a sign for a 50% off sale they had today. But I was disappointed when I went in and so few items were at 50% off.

We were moving and needed to find a charity that would take and appreciate a lot of items that salvation army would not. Hidden Treasures of hope was a great decision. My Mom had sold AVON for many years, and as she got old she built up excess inventory. We didn’t want to waste all that good expensive face cream, jewelry, etc. This boutique charitable store was able to sell some of it, use some of it to donate, etc. We had a great feeling that all of the valuables we donated were going to go to actually help people. Plus they were great people and it was nice of them to bring a van and pick stuff up, since we were so busy with trying to move.

This is the kind of business that Unilocal was made for, a small business that could use some exposure. This tiny vintage/thrift shop really is a hidden treasure. It’s about 2 doors down from local eaterie Lascari’s in an old strip mall. The tiny location is stocked full of used clothing, shoes, handbags, knick knacks and some pieces of furniture. You’ll need to squeeze in sideways between the racks of clothes to get to everything. It was all the home goods and accessories that captured my attention though. A full set of Samsonite luggage circa 1970, a full set of italian dinnerware for 8, vases in funky colors and shapes, tons of knick knacks… The store is staffed by wonderful friendly people… I’m a bit biased though. I’ve known the family since I was a kid.
