Mimi’s is always a great default when you are not sure what to eat lol. I get the buy one get one free entrée coupons in my email all the time(must buy 2 drinks). Usually comes out to about $ 10 – 12 a person after tax and tip. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me for decent restaurant food. Highly recommend their brunches on the weekends!

Bring back Old Mimis. The places need a facelift. They use to keep so clean and up to date. Very dated and so is the food.

Based on the reviews I just read, I can tell that this location is TRULY making every effort to win back lost customers and/or retain current customers. 2nd time visiting this location in ten years and I was impressed. We were seated within five minutes of checking in. Upon being seated, we were immediately advised of the dinner and drink specials by or hostess Our waiter, Alan followed shortly thereafter took our beverage & appetizer orders and returned with our drinks within four minutes. As a group, we ordered corn chowder, dinner salad, beer battered fish & chips, calamari, Mac & cheese, blueberry muffins etc… Food was AWESOME!

Service took a while, but the food was worth the wait! LOVE the mimosas! ;-)

Food is always good and consistent but service is ALWAYS slow. Went for breakfast this morning, waitress took our order and we never saw her again until she brought the check. My sons breakfast tacos were spicy and he needed water. My fruit bowl was very sad looking: 4 grapes, 1 piece of pineapple and 1 piece of cantaloupe. If the service was better this place would get 5 stars.

So so sad. this was solidly good restaurant in the past. A change of ownership and a very old and dirty interior have made this location impossible to patronize.

This is my second time and so far I have had a good experience. Waitress was nice, and friendly. The food was great. We got our food on time, and we had no issues with our order. I did see that their clients are mostly elderly individuals.

Australian here on holiday in California. Last time we were at Mimi’s was ages ago. I didn’t remember the food being this good but according to a mate, I used to love this place then as well. We have not dined in and have always used take away(pick-up), and the service is nice. The online ordering is easy and we even phoned in an order change and the lady was friendly and promptly attended to the order. They are always waiting when you drive up as well. The quality that they serve and the presentation are both lovely. We’ve sampled a few things from the menu including desert and the taste is great. Definitely top above the others in this range and surrounding places that we have went to. They also have a good selection and did I mention friendly?

This has got to be the filthiest place I’ve ever been to. Waitresses are always nice, but have commented to the manager about the chairs for over 2 years. Disgusting !!

I hate writing bad reviews. My parents loved this place. I’ve eaten here on many occasions. But I was very dissatisfied today and could not finish my dinner. I complained and the waiter kindly brought out another skewer. No improvement. We ordered pot roast with braised beef and a shrimp/scallop dinner over salad. If you look at the pics you’re probably thinking, «What’s the problem?» In one word — SALT! Everything was way too salty! To the point the shrimp was inedible. I rarely leave food at a restaurant, if the quantity is too much I ask for a doggy bag. Not this time, I left the shrimp skewers right on the plate. If you’ve read my other reviews, you know I haven’t been eating a low sodium diet. But everything, with the exception of the corn, was way over salted. This is a restaurant frequented by many elderly people, particularly at this location. This is not a healthy place and sadly I would advise any senior from eating at this location.

Came here for my birthday. My sister surprised me with a paint night. Only 2 stars for the effort of the waiter. I walked up to the bar after waiting 30 minutes to order a drink. Waited 10 more minutes and flagged down a girl. Two girls walked past and ignored me. I asked about the drink service and she referred me to the waiter. I asked why he was taking all our drink orders and then making them? She said I don’t know and walked away. Both times my sister and I ordered a margarita he told us they had to make the sweet and sour mix. Pretty sad that this establishment only had one server for 30 people at paint night. One person to take orders, make the drinks and serve them. Poor guy. I am currently waiting another 15 minutes to pay because the manager is here and keeps saying she can’t help him ring up the checks. I was suppose to have a late dinner and cake with family but thanks to the poor planning at this venue, I’m late.

I used to love this place but it has steadily gone down hill in the last year. The prices went up. The food quality has gone down and the service is minimal at best. I’m not coming back. Serious problems at this Mimi’s.

Looking for somewhere to eat and we ended up here. My wife’s first time here and the staff was really nice. Everyone that came to our table acknowledged that it was my wife’s first time and even the manager came out to say thank you for coming. The service started a little slow but quickly got better. My wife and I looked over the menu then we ordered. We started with the spinach artichoke dip that was very tasty and chips were nice and crispy. My wife also had a cup of French onion soup. She thought it was just ok. As our meal my wife had the Ruben sandwich that was good and was a big portion. I had there avocado bacon burger on sourdough bread. The burger was good but just to much bread. Oh and on both our plates the fries were cold. That’s always a bummer. Because it was my wife’s first time they gave us complementary muffins to take home. Good experience and may go back one day for brunch.

Well I came here for my aunts bday celebration. The service was great drinks were cold I picked the ny strip steak. Wow what a bad choice this steak had little to no flavor filled with fat and cartilage. I give the steak a 1 star. Try avoiding this meal cause it really sucks. Other then that it was a cool setup.

So I went here today with my girlfriend and wasn’t my favorite experience! So we ordered and went about our selves and roughly 25 – 30 minutes passed and we finally received our food… The food was decent, but the thing that grossed me out the most was their cups smelled like scrambled eggs!!! I almost threw up! Would I return? Probably not, or at least not this location! Please wash your dishes correctly ! Thank you!

We had to pack our order to go because we were kept waiting for over 45 minutes w/o any sort of an update from our server. Even though she later explained that she was out back helping the kitchen, my perception was that she was avoiding keeping the patrons updated on the delays. Let’s get back to the packing of our order… when the boxes came out they were sloppily placed together w/sauce oozing out. We had to ask for another bag just to cover up the mess. When I did get home to finally enjoy my meal the meat on my burger was overcooked and my wife’s chicken pot pie had a lack of any crust and breading. Overall a nightmare of an experience. I won’t be coming back here ever again… serious. Like really, never ever… POOREST. COMMUNICATION. EVER… evar! Save yourself the time and heartache and go to: Norms, Pancake House, Panera, Corner Bakery, Red Robin, anything else that is within a 1 mile radius would blow this place out the water.

We came for breakfast today and the food didn’t disappoint, it was right on point. our server promptly took our orderand checked on us for coffee refills however, she was not attentive. We wanted to order carrot muffins and it was hard get her attention her coworker bought us the delicious carrot muffins. Pros: — no wait –Tuesday morning — easy parking — menu changes with seasons

I’m so upset with this place My family was look forward to having Thanksgiving Dinner at Mimi’s Café .They called and left a message that they had to cancel our Thanksgiving reservation no explanation So my sister got home from work and called Mimi’s Café and the phone was busy so she called a couple of time it was still busy. The morning of Thanksgiving she called someone answers the phone and the explanation was due to facilities issues that’s all she had to say .Now are morning is calling places. who doesnt love breakfast? what i ate: — andouille sausage and red pepper omelette: this really hit the spot. the sausage was super tasty with the red peppers. but, the thing i loved most about this dish was the side of roasted potatoes. they must deep fry these lil red potatoes because they edges were crispy. — bloody mary: spicy, flavorful, so good — white peach bellini: sweet and light pros: — no wait! especially when you come early on the weekends. — full bar! bring on the booze! — service wasnt too bad — i think the breakfast menu was recently revised. everything looked really tasty cons: — a bit far from me, since this location is in whittier. but my local mimi’s closed down, so i have to make the drive would i come again? sure
