This place is open late, gotta love the convenience of it, but make sure you bring cash with you as most food trucks don’t take credit or debit cards. I tried the following tacos: carne asada carnitas al pastor lengua I consider myself a taco expert and this place is not the best, but it’s edible. The carne asada is the best out of the 4, meat is a little bit fatty just the way I like it and the flavor is good. The carnitas was dry and bland, I won’t order that again. Al pastor was good, a little spicy too. Lengua was not good at all, a little bitey. I like my tongue tender and melt in your mouth… this was chewy, yuck! Also, this place charges $ 1.25 per taco when other places only charge $ 1.00 for better tasting tacos. For some reason the green salsa is spicier than the red salsa, which is usually the other way around at most places. Watch out!

Mr. P and I went out hunting for a taco truck late on a Sunday night. We found this one at the corner of Meyer Rd and Imperial Hwy in Whittier, in front of the long-shuttered drive-thru dairy. I wanted a burrito al pastor, but they were out. Boo. I got an asada burrito. Mr. P got a carnitas burrito. We got a chicken burrito for GMIT. The truck is bright yellow and well-lit. Out front is a table with condiments(read — salsa, and SALSA — like DIDYOUREALLYTHINKYOUWEREGOINGTOKEEPYOURTONGUE??? salsa). Also onions and tomato and cilantro. The burritos were pretty good and well-priced at $ 4 each. I enjoyed my asada, which was nicely chewy, and gently flavored, with fresh beans and onions in the mix. Mr. P’s carnitas was also tasty. GMIT refused to let anyone taste her chicken, but at the rate she was snarfing it down, I would guess it was pretty good. We’ll definitely eat there again. I really want to try the pastor.
