Dan is AWSOME he’s very cool and cuts great hair and both him and Armando are very cool this is only my second time coming but I felt as of I been going for years ! Recommend this spot to everyone !

Highest quality cuts, at an excellent value. I drive all the way to Uptown Whittier from Boyle Heights to go here. Christina is a hair surgeon, she is so precise and takes her time. I am beyond happy with every cut I get from her, and the compliments don’t stop!

Just got a haircut by Chris (idk his last name but screw it). The dude is the best! One of the the best barbers at tip top! The dude cut my hair on his birthday at 8am after a long ass day yesterday. Professionalism? He’s got it. Quality? Yeah he’s got that too. ON HIS BIRTHDAY! Do you work on your bday? That’s dedication to his craft!
The atmosphere at tip top is no comparison to ANY barbershop! Good shit sulley, Chris, Josh, and dre!

Looking for a barber shop can be tough for us guys. You see a 8.99 hair cut your like wow I’m sold. But how’s the quality? Do they understand what you really want done? When I came to tip top barber shop I saw a room of passionate guys who love what they do. I love how they take the time to truly know what you want done. Customer service for sure! Quality no doubt! Best barber shop in Whittier.

Used to go to Uptown Barbers but made the switch when I stumbled upon Tip Top one day. A little pricier but worth it. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes, even on the weekends. I always leave with a great a cut and I feel awesome. They play some great music and can keep a good conversation.

For the people that complain that they stop cutting hair 10 mintues before they close are fools. The barbers there take their time on their cuts and can’t do a cut in 10 mintues…
«If we close in 10 mintues what makes you think I can finish your cut in that time? What makes you think I’m going to stay to 6:45 because you’re a stupid person?»
These guys don’t suffer fools and have no patience for guys that need to get their haircuts at supercuts. This is where MEN come to get their haircuts and if you want to be treated like some woman… go to a salon. If you can’t handle someone telling you that they’re closed 15 minutes before – because it takes more than 15 minutes to cut hair – then kick rocks.
This place is legit just show up early because they’re busy as hell. hmm I wonder why they’re so busy? Not because they’re the only barber shop in Whittier but becuae they cut they cut the best hair… ya boobs.

Poor customer service. Arrived at 4:45 and sign states they close at 5:00. They were open and nobody on their chairs. We asked do you want to take a hair cut. They said «na man». I guess they think their too good now.

Had been a loyal customer. Andre, the owner is a smart, astute young man. We’ve had many pleasant, intelligent conversations. Unfortunately, their business sense is lacking. You have a walk in business and yet you turn me away with an hour before closing not once but on two occasions while no one else is waiting! Good haircuts but my time is too valuable to waste on this shop. The Diva Complex comes to mind. There are other shops who are much more friendly and accomodating. Sorry Andre.

Great Barber Shop. Good bunch of dudes that always make my 13 year old feel at home. He and I always walk out of that shop with an excellent hair cut.
Can’t beat this shop

I have been a loyal customer for way over a year and a half now, and I gotta say I trust these guys with my hair. no matter how vague I give my instructions they will always make my hair look good, because the cut is always clean. the small place only has 4 stations but it’s still like a cozy little family.

They give excellent hair cuts, but my last visit was horrible i waited 2 hrs and instead of taking me they took some guy that just walked in. Made me so Upset

This place has the worst service. They don’t care to tend on the customers, do not come to this place not worth it.

I don’t know what you know. But I’m assuming that you’re not that bright. Why? You’re asking. Because you have to look on Unilocal to find out if this shop is legit. Of course it is dummy. It’s called Tip Top for a reason. Always doing great cuts, not one barber there that isn’t great.

This is a new, convenient alternative to their Whittier Blvd location. Josh was attentive and used his scissors mostly. A pleasant change from shops that presume you want a high & tight and go clipper-​crazy. There are only two barber stations so expect a wait if you’re on the wrong side of a Saturday afternoon.
