What’s the point in having a delivery service if you never pick up the damn phone to put in your order! Place is stupid!

We were looking for a favorite Chinese restaurant here in Whittier for the longest time after our favorite restaurant, Mandarin Inn in Santa Fe Springs, went out of business. There food here at Yang’s is excellent. We had moo sho port, chicken with cashew nuts, snow peas, and white rice. The next time we go back, we’re going to have to try the strawberry shrimp off their specialty menu. But we’re going to wait until strawberry season for that. We enjoyed ourselves very much here. The restaurant is quaint and relatively quiet compared to La Casita Olvera in the same shopping center. The prices were inexpensive compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. The only thing that I didn’t like about the facility was the lack of banquet facilities. As I was growing up, our family used to frequent Chinese restaurants that would cater to large parties. I’ve been having a very hard time trying to find something similar here in Whittier. Nevertheless, the food here was very good and we’ll have to make a return trip soon.

Just had delivery from here! I got the BBQ pork buns and the steamed dumplings. The dumplings were really moist and awesome and the pork buns were pretty good too! I was just a tiny bit disappointed they weren’t bigger or that there weren’t more, but I guess I’m just comparing them to King Dumpling where you can get 4 enormous Korean bao for $ 7. These were $ 5 for 3 medium sized dumplings, which is admittedly fair. I’ll try this place again, probably!

Ordered delivery to my house. Order was placed at 1:13pm, they estimated 35 – 65 minute wait and I did not receive my food until 3:03pm. That is a ridiculously long time, and if it takes a while that is fine with me, just don’t estimate something unrealistic and upset your hungry and willing customers. They also got my order wrong so what were they doing with that time? I called in over the phone at 2:31pm to ask where the order was and the woman on the phone could not tell me anything other than the driver had left already.. . we tipped with our card during checkout and I assume therein lies the issue. They had already received their money and tip so they had no incentive to do anything. Poorly run business and rude customer service. Do not order from here, I did on this date and was very disappointed 12÷26÷15

Came here with the family… I was terribly disappointed on how dirty the bathroom was. People if the bathroom is filthy how is the kitchen? The place needs a good thorough cleaning and updating. Food is good.

I order Yangs about once a week. My family loves it. It’s great that they deliver food so convenient. Love their honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, mushu pork. Delivery time is fast they deliver in about 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

I have to give it 3 stars because of the cleanliness of the restaurant. The food was delicious, but it would be difficult to return. The place looked as if it needed a good deep cleaning. There were food stains on the curtains, décor needs updating, but the worst, was the women’sbathroom(I didn’t enter the men’s). C’mon people, use some bleach in those toilets! And clean the WHOLE toilet! The bottom, too! There’s NO reason for the uncleanliness! Hire someone!

My new GOTO for Chinese! The Wonton soup was excellent, the noodles were awesome! Not all gross and thick like some places. The service was very good and the prices are excellent! I highly recommend this place! We had the black pepper chicken, wonton soup, noodles with beef and broccoli and the pineapple rice.

Ordered Yang through Grubhub and it was fantastic! Food was fresh when it arrived at my door steps. It arrived before estimated delivery time which is amazing! We ordered the family special for two which comes with chicken lo mein, 2 egg rolls, orange spicy chicken and either steamed or fried rice for $ 17.95. The portion were huge and well worth the money truly a bargain for the quality and service. Will definitely be ordering again from here.

My husband and I were looking for a new Chinese restaurant around the Whittier area and we stumbled across this little hidden gem! The quality of the food is great and the server was very attentive! I was excited to find out that deliver within a 3 mile radius! We will be back to try other items on the menu.

An under-rated Chinese spot near the La Hizzle/Whittier border. Yang’s is nestled in the plaza next to Rosarito Mexican Restaurant. Upon entering, i though oh gosh, what i get myself into? The interior, in my humble idiotic opinion, was clusterfu*ked. All crap everywhere with chandaliers and blah blah. But i kind of understood why. The food is Chinese Chinese catered for westerners. Not my favorite type of Chinese since I am spoiled with Koreanized Chinese which has kidney killing flavor. Since I do not know how to order Chinese food in English or Mandarin… I did my best, even showing the poor woman in Chinese what I wanted, but said«Jellyfish!» and i am not like… crap(-\ i took the wrong picture awhile ago. In the end, I settled for Garlic Sauce Chicken Lunch Special. The dish ran for $ 6.50ish. Lunch Special comes with: 1. Soup, i did not want any. 2. Won tons aka nachos, which the server graciously replaced for me(without asking) for the soup. 3. Egg Roll 4. White or Fried Rice 5. Dish. 6. Fortune Cookie for dessert. I was highly impressed with the Garlic Chicken. I did not think they would craft such an entrée the way it was given to me. The flavors were extremely rich and not too heavy on the sauce but more so the mixture of the bell peppers, water chestnuts, onions, peppers, and garlic. Super yummy. The portions were quite generous but i was in monster mode after eating tacos 120 minutes prior to this meal. Service and value were gracious. I could not have asked for a better set up.

This review is only based on the time it is taking for my food to arrive. I ordered my food about a half hour before they actually opened because I was hoping it would arrive faster. Its an hour after they opened and I called and my food has not even left yet. The girl said it would be another 35 – 40 minutes. Waiting nearly two hours for a simple order is very ridiculous. I hope the food makes up for the slow service. After an hour and forty minutes I received my food. They got my order wrong. I specified no meat and got chicken. Considering the fact I am a vegan and have been for over ten years, I am pretty pissed. And for those of you who eat meat, just avoid this place, when i tore the chicken in half it was pretty pink in the middle. I am no expert but I think it was under cooked. ALSO, they said they would credit my card back for the money i wasted on their terrible food I couldn’t even eat and they never did. Thanks a lot a-holes!

I had to kill some time driving around this area and I was starving! I just randomly entered this lot(which just seemed like bunch of random stores), actually just needed a place to park to figure out where to go… Since I was already there and saw this restaurant, I figured I might as well give this place a try. It turned out to be a great discovery! I love Chinese food… I had my share of both good and bad. I mean, it looked like an authentic Chinese place and with a name like Yang… come on… how can you go wrong with that? Like… Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, Bob’s Burger, Suzuki’s Sushi, Kim’s Kimchi/Korean BBQ, Nguyen’s Phở House, Jose’s Tacos, Patel’s Curry House… ok, somewhat kidding. xD(maybe some of those actually exist. I don’t know. oh yeah, one of them is a TV show… ok, I’m getting off topic…) Actually I think of «*Yang* Chow» in Chinatown, where famous celebrities have gone to, which I enjoyed their food. It really doesn’t stand out and seem appealing from the outside, but I am glad I gave this place a try! When I entered, nobody was in there, which was kind of sad and thought it was a bad sign… but one waitress there seem very friendly and welcoming. I ordered Beef & Broccoli and Kung Pao Trio; both were hot and fresh! I really enjoyed the Kung Pao Trio. it really isn’t spicy and it actually had a sweetness flavor to it, like sweet and sour, but very flavorful, Nevertheless, I will definitely come back for that one. Portions are pretty good. I ordered takeout and they put it in a nice microwavable bowl and not the typical chinese takeout boxes. I’ll save the extra 5th star on another visit.
