I have been here numerous times, but haven’t reviewed yet. First off, they have the BEST seasonal martinis. They usually have a fruit infused one based on the season. In the summer they have a pineapple or watermelon. The best I’ve ever had. If you don’t like seafood, go for a martini, it’s worth it. The bang bang shrimp gets lots of good reviews, but it’s probably my least favorite thing. It’s fried shrimp covered in a creamy spicy sauce. I think it’s mayo based and mayo is just gross. That’s just my preference. They have them half price for happy hour which is a great deal. Other apps half price as well(I think) But back to the good stuff. Last night I had the crab crusted and topped orange roughy with broccoli and sautéed garlic shrimp as my sides. Everything was delicious. Spinach was lightly sautéed and not over cooked. I paired it with the mango and jalapeño martinis. Spicy, sweet, cold and delicious.

Great food! Try the ahi tuna bowl, it’s the bomb! Service is usually good. Only complaint is that it’s fairly chilly. Plan ahead & take a sweater or wrap along with you. Staff will turn off ceiling fans if you ask nicely :)

My husband and I have been here twice now. I have gotten the same entrée both times and I am a big fan! I have to eat gluten free due to Celiac, so that can be a challenge. I order the rainbow trout with lemon butter sauce, the garlic whipped potatoes, and green beans. It is all really tasty! The only complaint that I have is that it is very salty.

Last night i was out with a friend and her family(Fiancée and 4 kids under 10 yrs old) and we tried 2 other places in Wichita and were told there would be an hour wait, we were near bonefish so we called and asked how long it would take for a table of 7 to be seated, they told us 20 min, so we hurried over, none of us had ever been there before, so we hadent realized it was a fancier place, or we might not have brought 4 kids, but the staff was wonderful, they didn’t balk at the kids at all, simply counted them and then proceeded to ready our table. It was ready within 5 min! Our server was wonderful, They gave s bread with pesto and oil, which most of the kids even liked– a bit of a surprise– it was lovely. The kids food came out first, which was great because kids will whine if food is not prompt, and their food was great. 2 of them had the grilled chicken, and 2 had the Mac and Cheese– which i tried, and it was exceptional– all 4 kids were happy with their meals. when the adult’s food came out 2 of them were perfect, the fish and chips, and the fish tacos, but my burger was almost blue rare –i am pregnant, and so that is a HUGE no no for me– I asked the server to have it cooked more thoroughly, and he was quick to apologize and get it to the back to the kitchen, not even 2 min. after he left, a front of house manager came over and let me know that it was not up to standard at all, apologized and offered me something in the meantime, nothing he listed seemed good so i asked for fries or something and he left, i swear it was less than 3 min later and he returned with a fresh burger and fries hot off the grill, it was wonderful! The 2nd burger was delicious, and it was cooked perfectly! The customer service at this place was freaking sublime! I would definitely recommend it, and I gave it a 5⁄5 because although i had to send something back, it was the least stressful experience sending something back that i can imagine. Clearly this place is doing something VERY right.

I was not impressed at all. Small menu for such a supposed great place. Just my opinion. I will not be a return customer.

Unless you are allergic to shrimp, you should always order the Bang Bang Shrimp! They are so delicious and you will thank me for recommending this delicacy. Ironically, I’ve never ordered any fish here despite the restaurant being named Bonefish. Service has always been consistently excellent throughout all of these years. I’ve never had to make reservations but I always get seated promptly. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that I normally have dinner way earlier than the average human being. My only complaint would have to be the lighting. The restaurant is really really dark, which makes it difficult to read the menu. Other than the Bang Bang Shrimp, the Wagyu Beef + Ginger Potstickers are also good. Don’t eat too many of them though because you could easily get full before you even get to the main entrée! I usually order either the Sirloin + Crab Cake Dinner or the Angler’s Steak. I don’t care much for sides, but their whipped garlic potatoes are the best I’ve ever had and that’s coming from someone who hardly ever makes bold claims. By the time you’re done with your entrée, you’re probably extremely full(if not on food, then on water). If you still have room for desserts, you should check out their Macadamia Nut Brownie! It’s delicious. Either that or the Crème Brulee. Maybe toss a coin to make your decision or maybe get both.

Our anniversary rolled around and Bonefish was on my husbands mind. His first time, my second visit. We ordered the swordfish, the portion was smaller than I imagined for a $ 20 piece of fish. Their sides were great, we ordered the additional Mac and cheese which we did not regret a bit. We also got the appetizer bang bang shrimp which was awesome. I wish we would of skipped the swordfish and just ate our fill on shrimp. The atmosphere was dim and romantic, perfect for a romantic date. The server was great and on top of it. The restaurant was a bit chilly, I wore my jacket the entire time. Overall great restaurant, nothing overly impressive that would make it one of our staples we visit regularly.

Although I’m not the biggest fan of chain restaurants I gotta say that Bonefish is one of the rare exceptions. I’ve visited the Wichita Waterfront location a few times and I’ve never had anything but excellent service. The wait staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. It is a doouble digit per plate restaurant so if you’re eating here be ready to spend upperwards of $ 60 for a full course meal. Surprisingly the portions a good size, I’m the type that likes plenty of food especially if I’m paying that type of price. Make sure you make reservations and get there on time on a weekend, this place gets packed.

Tried it, didn’t like it. Tried again, nope. And again… and still no. It’s just not good seafood. Lots of sauce and more sauce.

No complaints. Service is great and the food is amazing. I had Atlantic Salmon with mango sauce and my hubby had ribeye steak 13 ounce and both were great. We came early around 5:30 pm and we were seated right away. Usually it’s a very busy restaurant, so plan to wait if u come later in the evening. The price is not cheap, so plan for expensive meal but well worth it for Wichita. Best food for sure.

Disclaimer: I do not like fish, I think that is smells terrible, but my friends wanted to go here, so… I had to suck it up and find something other than fish to eat. I went here by the request of one someone in our party. I started out with 2 cocktails which were really very well made. I had 2 martinis(lemon drop and a pineapple martini). They were satisfactory and the best part of this meal frankly. One friend ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer/meal. 3⁄3 liked it and said you can’t go wrong. I cannot comment on the taste because I did not have any. I ordered the Half-Pound American Kobe Beef Burger with french fries. I thought it was under seasoned and had a weird texture in the beef. Not a fan and I would not order this again. My friend ordered a filet mignon which actually was the joke of the meal. It came out looking bizarre… it had the look of ground beef… and the gentlemen who ordered it was very unhappy and even asked the waitress to confirm that this«ground beef» looking steak was indeed a filet… and she said«I know it looks weird, but it is a center cut filet.»… It was unlike ANY filet I have ever seen. Needless to say, he was not happy with his meal. Another friend ordered the fish tacos and she was happy with her meal. So long story short. I didn’t want to go here in the first place, and I did not order fish in any way, so chalk it up to ordering beef at a fish restaurant, but if you are looking for a steak/burger, obviously this is not the best restaurant to go to. My meal was gross and unflavored. The only upside to my meal was my drinks, as they were delicious. Too bad the drinks didn’t make up for the entire meal. Pass.

Mom’s at Bunco and we had a gift card to burn and needed equal treatment of yummies! Took the two men to dinner and we really enjoyed our meal. First off — we ordered the BFG — Donuts. Mom alway forbids us dessert, so we decided to start with it first. Second for the evening — two orders of Bang Bang Shrimp. There are no words for this delicacy! Super fantastic and probably super easy to make, but oh so good! Dinner for my youngest and I was the Chilean Sea Bass. Ok, I looked it up and the real name of this fish is: Dissostichus eleginoides, the Patagonian toothfish, a species of cod icefish found in cold waters in the southern Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Probably not the most elegant name — thus it is now a Chilean Sea Bass! Ha, only in America. My oldest son had the sirloin and crab cake. We love the crab cakes here — they are as good or better than a Maryland seafood shoppe. Service was spectacular — most Wichita restaurants get it — it’s just we seem to sort of have a lock on good service here in the Midwest. But, in general, BFG is superior to all chains I’ve dined at. Only a couple of high end Steak Houses can match it. Still a bit in need of dessert — the young men ordered the Macadamia Nut Brownie w/ice cream & strawberry shortcake, nothing seasonable about this dessert. It wasn’t long before it was all gone. Romance, Interview, Evening with the guys, Before /After a movie, you cannot go wrong with Bonefish Grill.

My friend and I made reservations for dinner on a Saturday here so we were seated immediately. The service was fantastic; our server was very nice and attentive. She ordered her usual lobster tails while I gave one of the Wichita specials a try: Lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi. My entrée was delicious! The sauce was creamy and flavorful, but it also completely overshadowed the mahi. Overall, the dish was good! For dessert, we split the chocolate crème brule, which was to-die-for! I recommend everyone to try the chocolate crème brule, and maybe share it because it is a lot of chocolaty custard goodness.

The chilean sea bass was on point. The tuna sashimi starter was way too tough to chew up, but they comp’d it no problem Was my first time here so I was underdressed, but was still well treated by the staff and manager. Pricey meal, but worth it for the sea bass!

This was my first time to Bonefish, and I was relatively satisfied. Thomas was a great waiter, and I have absolutely no complaints about him. He was extremely personable, and would definitely come back to have him. We started with the ceviche, which had really good flavor, but the scallops were a bit overcooked and tough. My sea bass special was AMAZING, and absolutely melt in your mouth. The quinoa was not what I expected, but was a nice fresh alternative. The potatoes au gratin was really good, and not your typical sliced potatoes but rather chunks. My coworker picked at his ahi tuna which looked decent. The veg on the side was not appealing… almost dry looking. Both of our drinks were good, especially the Ocean something Martini(where $ 1 goes to some charity). I would probably come back just for Thomas and the sea bass.
