Cabela’s

We went into this place looking for snow boots for an upcoming vacation. I have to say that it was pretty disturbing to see the lack of options for women. Not a place I would frequent normally but now I will make it point to shop online for outdoor supplies.

Great place to shop for all your sporting good needs. Friendly staff and with lots of cool decorations to look at. My kids love it.

Spent 30 minutes in the footwear department without any employee acknowledging us — the «greeter» at the door didn’t even say hello! As we were trying on hiking boots, 3 current employees and 1 apparent former employee stood about 10 feet from us in full view complaining about their jobs and Cabela’s business practices. We went ahead and purchased a pair of boots since we had spent so much time checking them out on our own. At checkout I asked to speak to a manager. The cashier didn’t know how to reach a manager (!?) so she called the «lead» from the footwear department. Yep — the lead was one of the complaining employees! He apologized but it was rote.
I’ve done business with Cabela’s since they were only a catalog business. Frankly, I received way better service through the mail. Probably will buy online from now on.

Cabela’s in Wichita Ks has the worst staff that works there I went in to purchase a weapon for my CCH could not get anyone to help me when I did get help the man seem to not want to answer any of my questions or show me anything in the case! He was rude and seem to not care about his job, I asked if I could purchase the gun I wanted and wait for them to get it in stock since they were sold out he said no and walked away from me. Do Not Go Here Poor Customer Service!!!

Always a fun place to shop or just look around. Great selection of items for all outdoors people!
