Denny’s

Dennys had the air conditioner blasting when it was cold and rainy out. I mentioned that it was very chilly to our waitress. I heard several other tables talking about how cold it was and at least one other table complained to the same waitress. Either she didn’t bother to tell management or she did and they didn’t give a rip about it. I was bundled in my coat and all. It was never addressed and we were so uncomfortable that I had to box my food up so we could get out of there.
The food to be mediocre at best. The dude wanted breakfast food. I ordered the veggie skillet. Pretty sure they were frozen veggies. The menu said it came with a side of salsa. Waitress said they were out and all she could sub was sour cream. I opted out of sour cream. Towards the end of our meal she offered the table next to us Pico de Gallo for the salsa. I was so disappointed as I would have loved to have at least Pico instead of ketchup and cholua.
Also, it drives me crazy to have the waitress call everyone Sweetheart. It feels like being talked down to.

Server was amazing!!! He didn’t give us his name or it couldn’t been I just didn’t remember! Ordered simple eggs and bacon and my friend ordered a sandwich. Just so happens I didn’t eat my bacon and he didn’t charge me for them! Great service he got a nice tip!

Dennys has gotten old and stale in the last few years. Their skillets are decent, the staff sometimes acts like they don’t want to be there. One thing you can always count on they are not very busy on weekends in the mornings. Frankly the only reason I eat here is because my regular places are just to busy on weekends when I get a late start.

I’m not a big fan of this chain either. I tend to only go when a promotion catches my attention. In this case: Pumpkin Pancakes. They were good, but that’s about it.
The service was pretty lousy. Our waitress seemed to be extremely busy and flustered, but the restaurant wasn’t very full and it certainly wasn’t understaffed. Maybe she was new… anyway, there was an incident where she accidentally spilt cream while serving us our coffee. No big deal, accidents happen. «I’m sorry. Let me get a towel and cleaned that up,» she said. Perfect, no problem. Well after taking 3 more orders and serving drinks to 2 additional tables she came back and lightly wiped up the mess. That to me is just bad customer service. She should have cleaned it up immediately.

This Dennys in particular, is perfect in the morning after a night out. The food is amazing and highly appetizing for both me and my girlfriend. I highly encourage many to get breakfast here.
And even in the morning you can order a dinner menu item*.
The atmosphere is quant and comfortable, and it was well decorated for the holidays.

I’ve eaten at this Denny’s location a few times in the past and just wasn’t real impressed with the way the food tastes. I decided to give it another try and they must have a new cook back there in the kitchen because there is a total difference now in the taste of the food! There’s actually FLAVOR to it now! I hope they keep the new cook!
