Okay I come here all the time. I focus on the drinks usually but I have to highlight the food here. The panini’s are my favorite. Today I had the Rose Blu with chicken breast, bleu cheese, tomatoes and raspberry vinaigrette. My friend got the Mrs V with mushrooms spinach hummus and pepper jack cheese. Aside from amazing coffee, Meads has delicious food with healthy options.

Nice. Had a cappuccino and it was«nice». Nothing extraordinary but nice. Roomy place. Lots of seating. Some nice snack options and gelato. Friendly staff. Clean. Wifi.

This was a cool, kind of hip, coffee shop and it made a legitimate americano. The prices were good for the location. I’d recommend it and I’ll be coming back next time I’m in town.

This place is hipster and hobo(literally). It’s next to the shelters and homeless people wander in a lot. I’ve had coffee a few times, and it was bad each time. I tried a strawberry smoothie this time, and it tasted just like strawberry Nesquik. I didn’t taste anything that resembled fruit. I wish I could say that I expected better.

This place has a great location and an awesome amount of indoor seating. It has a variety of high top tables, normal sized tables, and also couches. It should be considered more of a brunch café instead of a coffee shop. The coffee was not very good. It tasted kind of plain but the food was amazing. The gelato was also very flavorful. I just recommend not getting the espresso drinks and you will like this place.

The awesomeness of this place simply can’t be stated enough! Great atmosphere, great coffee, and a friendly, laid-back staff who take the time to learn your name. The diversity of the patrons is a really nice bonus, too. This is my coffee shop of choice in Wichita.

Yep, they’re awesome! Went in there for the second time this morning — left with an extremely delicious caramel Americano and a blueberry scone! The girls behind the register were so sweet and friendly! The atmosphere is probably my favorite part — I wish I would have known about this place in college for studying or group work! They also have live bands/music that I saw posters hanging up for. In every aspect, they beat out all other coffee shops down town! Success!

Never been to a coffee shop in Wichita, but I loved this one! Huge place you wouldnt know existed downtown! Fun atmosphere and great staff. The coffee(Hazelnut Iced latte xshot) was amazing! If I lived there — this would be my place to go!

I’ve tried and tried to like Mead’s Corner… I really have… but I just can’t! Nothing about this place wows me. I’m actually kind of writing this review to remind myself not to go back. Their coffee is mediocre. Seriously, I can get a better coffee at QuikTrip for a fraction of the price. And their atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe it’s just that I always hit Mead’s at a bad time, but whenever I go it’s impossible to find a good seat. I got a seat one day next to a(homeless?) guy who was sleeping on the couch. The staff had to tell him several times that he could hang out but had to sit up and couldn’t sleep. Finally, they had to threaten to call the police so that the guy would get up. A full couch that no customers could sit on because some guy was sleeping there… Doesn’t make me feel super comfortable. Also, the music tends to be way too loud. I know Wichita is super limited on choices for coffee houses, but I would avoid this one…

This little coffee shop is awesome! Perfect location downtown and the staff is nice. I like the atmosphere inside and the drinks are always professionally made. I need to try the gelato sometime too. I didn’t get to venture to the back but it looks pretty cool. Check this place out when you’re looking for a cool coffee hangout.

This is one of the few places in Wichita where you can get some tasty panini, coffee and gelato at 11 in the evening. I came here for gelato. It wasn’t too bad but you know it has been sitting in the freezer for quite awhile. There was a decent amount choice wise. They’re open really late which is perfect for night owls like me. There are a lot of college kids studying thanks to free internet. The place is a little sketchy area wise. There were bums outside hanging out. Try to be safe if you’re a woman going there by yourself late at night.

This place is wonderful for its setting! You can go on a date, meet up with friends, study, relax with a good read, meet new people, and so much more! If your looking for a quick bite even before you hit up I trust bank arena for some good event your about to see you can always expect great prompt service and their honest opinion on what to order to eat. Their coffee is good as well. Their staff appear to be passionate about their work which makes for a great friendly atmosphere all times during the year.

The menu looks great and the place is always packed with a friendly crowd creating a nice buzz, but all I have ever had is the coffee. The coffee is strong and the lattes silky… what more could a person ask for?

In all honesty, I love Mead’s, have been there many times. The vibe is amazing, the location is awesome, the parking ease is perfect, and the staff is incredible. The only bad thing I have to say about it is a kind of big deal to me though — I don’t like their coffee. Their handcrafted espresso drinks are amazing. Their teas are great. The gelato is good enough to keep you thinking about it for a good while. But their regular house coffee always tastes burned, bitter, and acidic to me. I keep trying it expecting it to be different, and it never is. So I’d give it 3.5 stars just because I’d go there a lot more often if I liked their coffee. As is, I only go there when I’m looking for a fancier drink or treat. Still, it’s a fun place to hang out with friends or to go and do work.

This place has it all! It’s in a great location in the heart of downtown, right on Douglas. They’re open early AND late! They offer a variety of sandwiches and wraps as well as coffee and even gelato. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. I think my favorite part is the music they play, it’s like I made the playlist but I’m not familiar with most of the musicians. I find myself regularly Shazaming songs trying to figure out who my new favorite artist is.

This is a great place for coffee or lunch! My book club meets here because we like their big tables in the back and we can have a nice quiet conversation, healthy food, and lots of coffee options. The paninis are delicious and the salads are always fresh and fantastic. I also love that this place seems very tied in with the community and what’s going on, they’ll let anybody hang up a sign and my kids preschool even got to contribute art one month.

There’s a summer special drink happening right now which is a honey latte. I asked them to make mine with almond milk and it was AMAZING. Definitely try that. I perused their gelato and it was all really traditional flavors. And call me crazy, but if I’m gonna down 5 billion calories, it’s gonna have to be for a flavor that makes me go, «WOW!» Run by the United Methodist church… I think that’s what I read. Welcome to the Bible belt :) Really cozy atmosphere, a very nice man who was waiting for someone complimented me on my «Notorious RBG» sweatshirt that I had on. Kudos to him.

I like the wifi, and the comfortable leather seats that you can sit on if you need to plug anything in and sit up higher. They had gelato which is the first actual time I had it! Pricey for kansas however. About $ 5 for the size Im showing. Delicious chocolate flavor though! I Also had iced tea. The food options were there too, but I didn’t see many on the tables nor did I choose to eat. Next time I’ll check it out more and revise this review! The inside of the shop is extremely long and boring and weird in the back with a mini stage, that had nothing going on because it was day time. From today, it was only worth 3 stars. The employee that rang me up Could’ve been more friendly too and offer me a receipt.

What a great little coffee shop right in downtown. We stopped in for a little while today to co-work for a bit. So glad to know I can easily walk to Mead’s when I’m staying at the Ambassador. I was impressed by the space, the menu, and most of all, the friendly staff. These kids(I can call young people kids now that I’m in my mid-thirties) were so nice, I wasn’t surprised when I looked up at a sign and saw the shop is connected to a church ministry. I assume when a church runs a coffee shop, having nice people to run the counter is of the highest priority. Well, they did a great job. I also liked that the music was just regular, run-of-the-mill pop music(Ed Sheeran, etc, nothing risqué), and not the light rock of Christian radio everywhere. I enjoyed my Chai latte, although it was a bit sweet. Maybe they put a little sweetener in it? I’ll ask next time and see if they can leave it out, but some people might really like it, so I’m not knocking it. From reading these other reviews, it would seem next time I need to order some food! At one point, it was so busy(at 2:30 on a Tuesday) that there wasn’t anywhere to sit, which I felt was a wonderful problem to have. If Downtown Wichita seems deserted, it turns out everyone is just hanging out at Mead’s Corner!

Mead’s Corner is the type of place where you can grab a green tea and just relax, which is exactly what I did during my visit to Wichita. I came here, ordered a green tea, accidentally got handed a cappuccino, but the barista easily fixed my order. There is ample seating here if you want to have a meeting of sorts. The menu is pretty basic. I would recommend coming here to grab a coffee or green tea. Note to those who are considering a fruit smoothie: they actually don’t use real fruit.
