In the ground floor of the Epic Center sits the vinyl-covered tables of Toni D’s Too. It was once the satellite location of Toni D’s Deli and Catering in Carriage Parkway, but last year they consolidated everything downtown and now Toni D’s Too is Toni D’s everything. Like Café 151, it serves as a means of feeding the cubicle dwellers while advertising the catering business that presumably makes up the majority of their income. Unlike Café 151, there doesn’t appear to be as much effort. Sandwiches are straight cold cuts and not worth mentioning much beyond this sentence. There is a Lebanese background to Mr. and Mrs. Shadid, and it’s here where you can find a little bit of homemade comfort — the tabouli may still be made with the boring curly-leafed variety of parsley, but at least it’s something different from the ordinary sandwiches brown-bagged in the break room refrigerators located on many floors above those vinyl tablecloths.
