We were enticed with the fried fish and fried chicken for 4th of July dinner. What a joke… I may as well visited my friend at the nursing home and had dinner with him. Bland, obviously all pre-frozen and purchased by the 5 gallon bucket. Never going back… only saving grace was the server… delightful.

I stopped by Ringo’s with some co-workers when passing through Wickenburg. It is located on the golf course, and has a great view from the outdoor seating area. Service was friendly and although the menu was a bit limited, everyone was happy with their food. I had the Asian chicken salad and it was very good. Great flavor and fresh toppings. The service was a bit slow, especially considering the place was empty; however our waitress was friendly. Prices were very reasonable and they have a full bar if you need a cold beer on a hot day. Not bad at all for a casual lunch.

At the Wickenburg Country Club, this is a great place to cool off after a round of golf and get a great sandwich and a ice cold beer or mixed drink.

Snowbirds. They drive the economy up and clog the roadways. The same theory applies to Ringo’s Bar and Grill. During the winter months, the clubhouse(complete with restaurant, bar and pro-shop) is hopping with white haired retirees looking to catch a 5:00pm dinner. When May rolls around, the dining room is as empty as Paris Hilton’s head. The cuisine here used to be just that: cuisine. They had a 4-star chef and a full kitchen staff, of which I was a part of. In the past few years, the food quality has really slipped and has become more of your typical clubhouse/bar food. They serve sandwiches(BLT, club, etc), burgers, salads and pub food(wings, fried zucchini, etc) for both lunch and dinner. The dinner menu is a little more hearty, often including a red meat dish, a chicken dish and a fish dish. Unfortunately, the menu is no longer seasonal and tends to be a little blah on pizzazz. It’s a nice place to take your parents or grandparents when they’re visiting, or to grab a quick lunch at the bar. During the winter months(especially near holidays such as Christmas, New Years), be sure to phone in a reservation. Reservations are not needed for lunch. Hours and days open vary, I can’t keep them straight as they change so often. Call ahead and make sure you’re not going to be walking across a sea of asphalt in July for nothing.
