Claude’s was sold over the winter. It is a bar now! I’m wondering if hurricane Sandy was the cause for them to close? Claude cooked a benefit dinner this weekend at the local American legion that served his most popular dishes, so you can still get his great food. Hopefully he will start another resturaunt.

We love Claude’s and go there for a taste of France between trips to Languedoc and the Dordogne. The food is excellent, the desserts are superb, and the atmosphere, complete with French music and French chefs and sous chefs, is authentic. Highly recommended to both Francophiles and gourmets!

My family returns here year after year because the food is so good. You’re missing something if you come to South Jersey and don’t come here. Who would have thought you’d find French food in Wildwood? Every entrée is delicious and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly.

Unbelievable, but true… a fine French restaurant in North Wildwood. Claude really creates a bit of France at the shore. The fabulous menu selections and wonderful specials really do beat the rest. Had the Beef Wellington last evening it was well prepared, flavorful and the beef was cooked to a medium rare perfection. My girlfriend had a great Rack of Lamb encrusted with Rosemary also done to perfection. The side of scalloped potatoes were the best we ever had. Mary(Claude’s wife) is the baker whose desserts never disappoint. Try the Strawberry Japonaise… incredible! There is a small friendly bar called«Sophie’s»(named for Claude’s and Mary’s Black Lab) that has many interesting house drinks. Try the French Pear martini or one of the very good and well priced wines. The entire, international staff take Mary’s lead and are very warm and friendly and make the experience special. Please try and enjoy… bon appetite. This has become our second home over the summer. We now go there on Friday and Saturday nights to see our new friends and enjoy the camaraderie and great food.
