Love this place! Everything I have tried is amazing. You gotta try the volcano shrimp and Irish clams… they don’t disappoint. The service is fast and great and they have awesome happy hour.

Bar service was attentive, food was good, some dishes were so-so. the quality of food for the price isnt bad. happy hour drink specials were good though… 3 $ well drinks, food menu for happy hour was good as well. Volcano shrimp for appetizer was my fav, the flavor was delicious, i got two orders, but second order was way to much considering i had tons of other food. Clam chowder was on point, my wifes meal she got the stuffed swordfish, she loved it, but had to send back the plate to heat up the veggies and mash bc they were cold.

I’m rarely in Wildwood, but came down in the off season for a friends bachelor party. This place looked the coolest of all the local bar pictures we saw. They don’t take reservations. They do what they called accommodations where you can call ahead. It really has local feel in the off season. I considered the fact that it was crowded in January a good sign. We hung around the bar(which was little tight but manageable) until they called us. They had a lot of beer options at fair prices. I had the grouper stuffed with crab and two flatbreads. It was all very tasty. I can say this confidently as the least drunk of the group. They brought out some cheesecake for bachelor which was classy. The only hiccup was when they accidentally gave my friends meal to another table. We had to wait while they remade it.

Let me tell you a little story about a girl and her love for grouper. She loves this fish so much that she decided to track it down during her recent business trip to Wildwood, park herself at a bar by herself and indulge in this fabulous fish and a glass of water. That girl is me. If ever there is a place to dine alone, the Dog Tooth Bar & Grill would probably be it. It seemed like THE local hot spot. Most of the customers and staff knew each other on a first name basis. Everyone had a really great rapport. The bartender was also very kind and attentive to this newbie, loner at the bar. I arrived shortly before 5pm on a Thursday and really got to see the bar area fill up. Aside from happy hour, there are specials every day of the week. I kind of wish I was there for more than just a fish sandwich and a glass of water. So you want to hear about the grouper sandwich, yes? I was a little bummed that I couldn’t order the sandwich blackened or grilled. The fish is prepared in advance in a batter, then fried. Not turning back, I went with the fried option anyways. I also got the Thai chili mayo on the side since I’m always apprehensive about mayonnaise in terms of taste and calories. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn’t have gotten the grouper. Pre-prepared probably means not as fresh as possible. Frying and mayo probably means the fish could have been seasoned a little better otherwise. The fish itself was a little bland. It came on a nice, large bun with chips and a pickle. It was still grouper after all, so I did leave happy. This is a place I’d really like to come back to. Perhaps just not for the grouper sandwich and when I didn’t have to drive immediately back to Philly.

The hostess who answered the phone was out of touch with the specials on the website. So when we arrived we made sure to ask lots of questions to avoid confusion later. We waited over an hour for a decent bar seat. The TVs were only visible from the sides of the bar or from the dining tables. The creamy crab bisque was really good and filling. We ordered BYO burgers an hour later and thought they were really good.$ 2 drafts, $ 3 select crafts were on point. Overall it was a good experience. We’ll be back

Solid spot in Wildwood which is walking distance to most places. Really nice interior was packed inside for the Monday night eagles game and also had a few tables on the deck with a flat screen tv. Seems to be open all year round. Good vibe and an one of the better craft beer selection in town. Had the wings and they were ample size. The onion rings were good too. Perks up a block in need of a facelift.

I wish I lived closer to this restaurant. It’s so delicious and worth the pricing. I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. You’ll definitely need to wait if it’s a weekend night in the summer but it’s worth it. Just grab a drink at the bar and enjoy being down the shore! That’s what we did both times. I’ve gotten their soups, delicious. And both times I’ve had their fries grouper sandwich. AMAZEBALLS! I don’t remember what my boyfriend and friends got when we went, but I know everyone enjoyed their food very much. Definitely one of the best restaurants down the shore. It’s difficult to find a good and enjoyable restaurant down the shore. This is a must have in Wildwood.

My husband and I came here last Sunday around 7pm for dinner. The restaurant was packed with a wait of 40 minutes. We weren’t in a rush to sit so we went to the bar and got lucky with two seats that just opened. Service was quick as soon as we sat down the bar tender came over to grab drink orders then gave us menus. We ordered the Volcano Shrimp, my husband got a bowl of French Onion Soup and the Short Rib Fajitas and I ordered the Jail Island Salmon & Goat Cheese Salad. The shrimp and soup came out FAST despite the long line of people waiting outside to come in. The volcano shrimp are an entrée in themselves. You get so much food for an appetizer I could barely bite in to my entrée when it arrived. The volcano shrimp are the best though! I would highly recommend ordering them. The french onion soup was also delicious. I think they put a pound of cheese on top of the broth! We weren’t even halfway through our appetizers and then our entrees came out. I felt bad because there wasn’t much room on the bar for all of the food that was just presented to us but we combined some plates and made do as to not invade the other people’s space that were sitting at the bar. My salad was presented very nice and looked/tasted delicious. The Short Rib Fajitas were spot on with flavor. We got some to-go boxes and noticed that the restaurant had died down so we decided to stay at the bar and hang out a little more. It’s unfortunate that we had to flag all three bartenders as the night progressed to order more drinks but the food was really good though and I would come back if we were ever in the Wildwood again.

The reason we came to the Dog Tooth was because they welcome dogs on their outdoor porch. This is a huge deal to us!(We appreciate that wildwood is dog friendly!) The food was good. We enjoyed the nachos as an app and the crab quesidilla. The only thing that kept this from being a five star experience was the service. Our waitress seemed to have a bad attitude and it took forever to get approached. Another employee brought us our drinks and two were missing. It took asking twice to get that iced tea and beer. I will probably come back when it’s not crowded and bring my dog again.

I really enjoyed this place. This is where it’s at. They have much parking across the street. It gets packed. When I arrived it was not so bad. I walked in and was seated asap. The seating is perfect. Service was great. Unsweetened iced tea for drink and placed for appetizer: French onion soup And Dinner I got the short rib fijtas with chips and pickles. Instead of chips can choose fries or potato fries Instead if wish to do so. I was so shocked after I seen the food and how good it was. The French onion soup is the best Bay far. And is tuff to beat the competition when it comes to there soup. The Rib fijtas are by far something I could eat over and over again. They taste so delicious the Rib eye was so tender. And 2 is plenty. I think I would still get French fries the next time instead of chips. Over all everything was good. And look forward to coming back in the near future.

Now this place is where it’s at! Stopped in after dinner and noticed the place was jam packed with what appeared to be satisfied customers. I can only say that i observed extremely happy customers, efficient and attentive service and delicious looking food. I had come with a group of 6 to play«Name that Tune!» At the bar as a fun family activity, and it didn’t disappoint! We had a great time playing and I would most certainly return for a meal.

9 people believe or not we all had burgers and drinks. Nachos too! Fun place to go after the beach. Service was a little slow but food was great. Energetic atmosphere. Great for all ages. Indoor and outdoor dinning.

This place was so good… huge portions, I took my blackened salmon home and was eating it for a week after my trip and it still tasted good. Everything was big and worth your money. There were a lot of young, attractive-looking men and women hanging around the bar and standing all over the restaurant, if you’re curious what the«crowd» is like. But there were also couples, families, and old people seated in the terrace area where we were seated(shielded from all the noise). Tip: Don’t forget to ask for the 10% off if you’re dining in on Thurs night!!! I plan to come back next time I’m in Cape May! This is a place you can feel proud of recommending to friends.

We went there on a Friday night and the highlight of the evening was a DJ and special interactive feature called ‘Name That Tune’. Place was packed and loud but had a lively vibe to it. We were a party of four and had to wait 25 minutes for a table. We did not like our original table outside because it was EXTRA noisy, and the staff was accommodating and placed us inside. Food came out in a timely fashion and was exceptional… Good serving sizes too.

Yum. Came across dogtooth on Unilocal looking for a dinner spot for my family of 10. We were quoted around 25 minutes to seat us, and only waited maybe 15. Service was fantastic, and the portions were huge! Lots of tasty options from burgers, pasta, fresh fish, salads, sandwiches & pizza. We started with the hand breaded calamari and I had the chicken penne carbonara. Delicious! The live music was a nice touch too. Was a memorable dinner for us, will come back next time I’m around Wildwood!
