Kona Surf Co

I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience at Kona’s. The sales people were extremely helpful finding what I was looking for. I went with a friend and the employees helped him as well, even though he is a bit of a handful in public. I have been to quite a few surf shops living up and down the east coast all my life, and I can say that Kona Surf Co. is one of the best I have ever been to. Thank you for the pleasant experience and I will definitely shop at Kona Surf Co. again.

Drew is awesome! My husband called Kona about getting surfboard for our kids for Christmas. Drew helped him determine what size & type of boards to get. He even texted us photos so we could choose colors. We ordered them over the phone & were able to just drive down and pick them up. Drew really went out of his way to help us and made it so easy! This type of customer service is hard to find!

Got some sweet xcel gloves for ny winter. great prices and great service. shipping was fast and goods arrived on time. will definitely be shopping here again. thanks for the great service.

I have been buying from their website for almost 5 years and getting a recent email from them got me excited to see what new stuff they had in store. My dad is super hard to buy for but I will always get him something from Kona and that is the only stuff I see him wear now haha.
I have never been to their actual store but buying from their website is always easy and they always have deals. Love their girl stuff too!

The people who work here really do go out for you. They help so much to make your shopping experience the best one. I always have a problem finding sizes for my daughter who’s size 2 infant and they continue to go out and about till they get her something I like or if not order something. I love Jordans uggs so they don’t carry them in many sizes and styles so it’s hard finding them there but they try. Thanks guys and lady’s too. Your all just so awesome here!!!

Great clothing shop that still has its original surfer vibe. I like their bike and board store too. Recently took in my road bike with a flat. Fixed while I waited. The bike attendant was courteous and pleasant to deal with. I’ve always had luck finding what I was looking for

Really expensive stuff, but it is in a tourist trap town, so that’s to be expected. The staff, while not very attentive, were somewhat nice, except for the cashier. She didn’t say a word to me, even after I tried to make friendly small talk. She did the same thing with the woman in front of me. Huh!!!
Their selection of running shoes is fairly weak, although their back room has a lot of older models to choose from at lower prices.
Their style or casual shoes are on point. Lots of good looking shoes in that regard. I picked up a pair of Saucony Shadows for $ 40, which is really cool.
Not a bad little store, but their shortcomings are very noticeable. Not bad if you’re in a pinch for certain things.

They should better organise clearance section, Its a mess out there and some sales assistants don’t speak english well enough.
Decent one of the best sporting goods stores in South Jersey.

Have always used this place to purchase New Air Jordan’s. Been going here for over 15 years. Not to happy with the way they are «marking up» the price and removing the price tag from the front of the air Jordan box. No need to mark up the price of the shoes.

I bought two pairs of rainbows here for Christmas, and it came in time for CHRISTMAS. It had fast shipping and free exchanges at the time I bought it. I bought a pair of sandals for myself and one for a friend (he could exchange the color and size with ease). The online site is easy to navigate and my rainbows were authentic! I wasn’t sure at first, but once I got them I knew it was perfect. Sometimes they run out of sizes and colors, but they restock as fast as they can. Sign up for their email, they really update you on all sales.

Not long after the posting of my last review, Dennis who works as a customer support representative, made contact with me and wanted to make amends. I am writing this of my own accord and I do appreciate the outreach he has made on Kona’s behalf which has been considerable. Dennis mailed me a gift card as a token ‘peace offering’ which signified to me that things at Kona are heading in the right direction. I look forward to the hopefully new spirit and improved atmosphere that seems to be coming into effect. The diplomatic and sincere overtures I have received thanks to Dennis are most welcomed and indicate a clear sense of goodwill.

I’ve been shopping at Kona Sports with my family for quite a few years and earlier today went into buy a few items, as we normally do, throughout the year when we come down to our family shore home. Not only were the sales associates inattentive and could barely be bothered to help myself or my husband for shoe sizing, they were also extremely rude. After about 20 minutes, I finally located a manager to try and help me so I could try on a pair of shoes I was interested in. He told me to go to the front and have the cashier at the register remove the sensor. The cashier refused to do so because she told me I might steal them and suggested I try them on with the sensor, which actually wasn’t possible since they were connected. She was rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful. I told her it wasn’t really a way to treat customers who are trying to spend money and that I didn’t appreciate being accused of possibly stealing things. And I said it didn’t make me want to shop here. Her response was «then don’t shop here». I addressed the issue with the manager and the way we were treated, who also seemed disinterested in helping us resolve the situation and was not very apologetic. When I called back later to revisit the issue because of how upset I was, I come to find out that the sales associate had the nerve to tell her manager that my husband was cursing at her, which is a complete and total lie. My husband had no reason to do so, the only thing either of us was interested in was spending money and buying a few things. This fabricated story of my husband cursing at the sales associate is clearly just an excuse she used to justify the way she treated us as I’m sure she didn’t expect me to bring the issue to the manager. I suggest the owners watch the footage. It’s pretty clear what happend. I don’t appreciate being treated in that manner. I don’t appreciate being accused of stealing. And I certainly don’t appreciate being lied about. Extremely poor customer service. I will not be returning… shop at
… better customer service and prices! The manager, Tony, also told me «there are two sides to every story.» Two sides to every story? The only side I can see is that I’m a customer that went into purchase merchandise and was seriously mistreated and disrespected. I hope this is addressed and dealt with accordingly. I will not be returning unless I receive a call back (I left my phone number to the owner) and an apology.

I love surf and skate shops. I know I’m technically too old to still be wearing boardshorts and skater tops, but who cares? I love the beach, and I love the whole beach life. There’s a forever young element to these clothes that keeps the teenage boy inside of me alive and well.
I’ve been shopping at Kona Sports for forever — literally, forever. Every summer when I come down to Wildwood I have to make a trip here. The end of August is great because everything starts to go on sale. You can get great deals during this time.
One of these days I’m going to really lose my mind and buy a new board of some kind. I have really good medical insurance, so I’m sure they can put me back together when I break myself.

RIP OFF… They upcharge at this store to begin with and they would not take the Unilocal coupon from my teeanage son that had NO TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON IT

5 stars to the bike repair department. They replaced my whole rear shift kit for $ 10 unreal

Great sports shop in Wildwood. They literally have gear for almost every sport you can think of. Friendly staff and great selection of surf boards and apparel.
Bought a bike for my father, bike shop guy was super knowledgeable and made sure everything was in tip top shape before we took it out of there.
Wish it was slightly less expensive, but you can find great deals in their outlet store a few short blocks away.
Also, I believe sales tax in WW is like 3 – 3.5%. Makes buying a board or something pricey a little better.

I always like going here for bathing suits. They are a little pricy though so try to go when they have their sidewalk sales.

Great all-​in-​one sporting goods store in the center of Wildwood. Prices can be high, but you should definitely watch out for the occasional sales.
In mid-​August, I was having some trouble finding a cute bathing suit, especially one that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Kona had a great selection of suits in my size, and most of them were 20% off!
I am very picky about bathing suits and have tried on dozens of suits this summer without falling in love with any one of them. Kona had so many nice suits that I had trouble deciding which one to buy!
I ended up choosing a Roxy suit that was on sale. I’m very happy with my purchase, and I always make it a point to stop at Kona when I’m in Wildwood.
