Harper’s Auto Repair

During our road trip from San Francisco to Shasta, the check engine light began flashing on the freeway. I called Harpers and took my car straight there. They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and order parts.
The parts took a while to get there as they we’re not in stock locally. Harpers offered us a ride into town to get lunch while we waited. Did I mention we have 2 kids and 2 dogs with us? They even let our dogs stay in their shop while we went to lunch. We ended up spending the day in the shop. They were very hospitable and even offered to get our car washed after the job was completed.
I would highly recommend this mechanic. Honest work and people.

These guys are amazing! My son was driving from the Bay Area to Chico when he began to have car problems. I found Harper’s on Unilocal and called to see if they could help. It was 5:00 and Brent said he would stay and check out the car. He checked out the car which was completely unsafe to drive, fixed it with a few bolts and sent my son on his way without even letting him compensate him for his time. It is hard to find such a caring, honest place and I can’t say enough about them. My son could have been seriously hurt had Brent not cared enough to stay and do what he could. There is no question that if I lived within a 30 mile radius of this shop I would take all my vehicles there. It is so refreshing to find a business with such integrity. Thanks again Brent!

I would not let this company touch my car again if you paid me! I needed them to replace an engine in my Thunderbird and they messed it up so bad it is costing me more money every time i turn around! They charged me twice what the original quote was, they charged me for things I did not even ask them to do. They broke my electric door locks, the car leaked power steering fluid and almost ruined the power steering pump! The car still leaks oil constantly, and they broke my cruise control, it no longer works. They did not replace the existing EGR Valve with the one from my old engine, so the car will not pass smog because the check engine light is on, and they lied to me about the AC System not leaking too. I don’t have the original receipt anymore because I moved or we would already have been in court getting my money back. Yeah, I had a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty too, but there is no way I would let them touch my car again, I want my money back!!!
