Buggy Bathe Auto Wash, Lube & Detail Shoppe

This is absolutely not the place to go to if you’re in a hurry, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Even when the place is crowded, the staff takes its time making sure every last nook and cranny of your car is clean. I can’t recommend the place enough!

Thank you Eldon and Jermaine who detailed the interior of my 2002 Corolla today! Well worth 99.95, carpet, upholstery, mats, trunk! A job well done and then some!

I noted a smoker right outside the front door on the front porch. Not usually a big deal but at a carwash you have to wait for your car. Management was responsive to the situation.
Otherwise, a great car wash. This is where all the locals go.

Normally the best car wash in town, but disappointed this morning — arrived at 8:45 am thinking I would be way ahead of the normally large line. There were two cars ahead of me, so I thought I’ve timed it right. I’ll be done in 10 min or less. Boy was I was wrong, they shut down the line for 15 minutes, so I asked if there was a breakdown. The answer was «no, just short handed, people not coming to work on time» the line was shut down multiple times over the next 25 minutes.
50 minutes later I was done. Disappointed.
Still the best car wash I can get in town for $ 16. Car looked great and they really work the windows inside and the interior.
But if you’re in a hurry, you better go somewhere else.

I’ve been using Buggy Bathe for a few years now. Consistently good work on my BMW M3. I would recommend, however, that they need a quality control foreman to check cars prior to the cleaning team finish. It’s hit or miss with what team you get. This morning, windows smeared, etc. my team was chatting while the other teams were working diligently.

Not the best carwash service I’ve ever seen, but certainly a competitive business in Williamsburg. As a student of College of William & Mary, I certainly appreciate the competitive price that buggy bathe offers. For $ 60, unlimited carwash including polish wax/​interior is certainly a value especially if you are considering waxing every month (which cost around 20 – 40). The quality of the wash vary, and sometimes they leave a spot or two — maybe this is a result of not tipping them well (as a college student living on a credit card, I simply don’t have any cash to tip sometimes,). The employees overall are friendly and quick. However, one major problem that I have is that the machine they use is not completely scratch free. I recently noticed some scratches around my car. Since I recently purchased my car, these scratches does break my heart :(.

Some car washes go above and beyond. This one does just that.
I I have visited the Buggy Bathe 4 times. I find that the exterior is generally well cleaned, dried, and detailed. The interior, however, lacks a bit of tending to. It really depends on the crew members detailing your car. I’ve had the interior immaculately well done, and others, half a$$ed.
The crew is always friendly, no matter how busy.

Pleasantly surprised with quality of work at the price.

Called ahead of time and only an hour and a half before closing and was pleasantly surprised that there wasn’t a wait for an oil change.
Once I arrived I pulled into the oil change lane, answered a couple of questions for the technician and grabbed a seat inside. I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
Though it was a few bucks higher than some of the auto repair chains, my fluids were topped, service was friendlier and faster and I wasn’t pressured into any additional services. Worth coming back here for the next one.

We come here a lot they are very fast and friendly. We had a issue and the owner really stepped up and is taking care of it. Will update again after next wash.

I have been getting my car cleaned on and off at multiple locations near my last home in FL for years. NONE of them did as good a job as Buggy Bathe did the first time out. I was going to clean it myself but it had been a while and it was so dirty I just didn’t have the energy. When I brought it home the hubs was shocked that they did such a good job for the price. I downloaded a coupon so it was even less expensive.
The wash attendant even checked with me to ask whether I was satisfied before he released our car.

Overall experience was negative. First off they changed the wiper blades without me ordering it. The manager issued credit. As soon as I drove off, found a crack on my windshield right where the wiper metal insert is located. I went back, they advised they will ask the tech and review the video of the car. After a week of calling everyday and getting the run around they advised they cannot reimburse the change and that I would have to go through my insurance, pay $ 250 and have a claim on my policy. Overall they lost a loyal customer with a pretty negative ending. … Advice– take pictures of your car before going there. While I was there another customer was there to complain that there were missing items from her car while getting her oil change. … No more comments!!!

I have been here three times and I’ll never go back. I have a mini van and the first two times they only vacuumed the front half. They skipped the two back rows of seats as well as the floor. I decided to give them one more chance today and made sure to voice my concerns. This time the floors were all vacuumed but neither of the back seats. They also forgot to put in the air freshener I requested. One a good note the staff is very friendly.

Best full service car wash that I know! The only touch car wash I would recommend. I have been to many other full service washes and am never satisfied. My brother owns this store and when I don’t feel like doing it myself I go here. I drive out of my way to get there and I used to use a different full service operation before he bought this location. The attention to detail is unmatched. I am a little bias but my review is honest.

Sloooooooww. Make sure your phone is charged or you bring a book. 45 minutes from start to finish to get my car washed. The wash and cleaning is ok. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse.

We went for a basic exterior wash to get our Northern salt off of the van. What a great deal for $ 7.95! Friendly service all around too! Wish there was one back home in PA!

My husband brought my car up for an oil change and wash May 13^th. The attendants said they were done washing it, but he had to ask for the bugs to be removed. After 10 minutes they said they were done again. He then had to ask for one wheel to be cleaned as it was forgotten. Since he was running late he finally just took the car and left. After leaving he realized the inside of the windows were not cleaned. When he brought the car home I noticed there was a spot of bird droppings on the rear passenger window that was still there. This same spot wasn’t removed from the last time my car went through your wash.
I know they will rewash the car if we aren’t satisfied, but not everyone has time for that. After already sitting and waiting for an oil change and a wash, it’s already taken a lot of time out of the day. It would be best to be satisfied the first time. I was actually more satisfied a year or so ago when I had wash attendants that I knew would do a good job, however now when I just get a random person I can’t seem to get the job done right.
I do know it’s a tough job, but I also work hard for my money and rarely spend it on a wash anymore because I can do a better job at my own house. The only reason I even come to your location anymore is because my husband used to work there and he likes to still give your shop the business. I’d prefer to come there because I actually think it’s worth the money.

Outstanding customer service. The first time I came here I didn’t receive the best service but the owner quickly responded and wanted to make it up to me. My car was taken care of by Jacob and a young lady, they did an outstanding job … I will come back before I leave the area for sure.

Buggy Bathe has an amazing staff and great prices. Everyone here is friendly, so is the owner/​manager; he always fields my calls and is always respectful and professional. Even the guys – and gals – who work to get your car through the machine are awesome. They definitely know cars and always treat every car with care.

I have had our cars washed for years at Buggy Bathe. I have always been extremely pleased with their service. They almost make me feel guilty with the time they spend for the low price that they charge.
