I’ve only had breakfast food here. Usually its a weekend morning. There’s never a wait. Food portions aren’t too big… and the food is always tasty. The staff is always super friendly to our 2 children and the balloon man is always there to make them cute things. This is my fav cheap spot to eat breakfast in the area.

I would give 0 stars if that were an option. We were seated in a booth near the front windows and it was FILTHY. The booth had a flat screen(which I’ve seen at other diners, they usually display ads) this one was turned off and you could see the splatters of God knows what, finger prints, etc. Same goes for the windows and all of the chrome trim… totally disgusting and based on that I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Plus, it was a hot day and didn’t seem like the AC was on which made the experience that much less enjoyable. If it were up to me we would have left, but starving kid and fiancé’ couldn’t wait any longer to have something to eat. Homefries were too greasy to eat, grilled cheese was burnt, waffle was crisp and dry on one side and completely soggy on the other. Not a good experience at all, will never return.

Last 3 visits were terrible, but we kept giving it 1 more chance. One time –too many flies. Next time-no AC. Final time-food sucked. No more chances. I complained about the greasy, soggy, breaded veal. Probably cooked before grease was hot, but, waitress said no because my partners fried seafood was ok. Then she admitted that everything was cooked in the same oil, including fish, veal, chicken, etc. YUK! Also admitted to 2nd grade meats when 1st grade runs out. Can’t believe she even said that! Too bad. We’ve been coming here for a long time & it seems to be consistently going downhill. On this particular night, the service was good, but it deserves«0» stars.

Tried to go here and eat last night. Stood there waiting for 5 minutes and not a single person acknowledged us. A woman who was trying to pay for her meal couldn’t even pay she had to wait because no one was even at the register. Ended up leaving and going to the meadows diner. Won’t be returning. I’d understand the wait if they were busy but there was 4 tables eating and the wait staff was in the back corner just talking to each other. What happened to this place. Always had great service and great food

I’d give it NO stars if I could. Been going here off & off for years, I am NEVER going back. Stopped for breakfast today, it was about 2pm so not crowded. Waitress comes over, she’s abrupt, but it’s a diner, so I let that go. We ordered, when it got to me I ordered an omelet & asked for veggies instead of home fries. She abruptly said NO& followed that with, the owner said the potatoes are complimentary with breakfast you can’t substitute. I said I just want the veggie of the day instead of potatoes, she again barked at me NO, I’ll get fired. So I just told her to keep it all & just bring me an omelet. She came back 15 minutes later to say she could only bring us 1 coffee because someone turned off the coffee maker. Another 15 minutes went by & we got our other coffee. When she delivered breakfast she forgot must of it, left 2 entrees in the kitchen, bright out sides, then after waiting all that time she says who ordered the waffle? My poor starving daughter in law said I did, she proceeded at that time to tell her she had to pick something different because someone had turned off the waffle maker! 20 mins later she brought pancakes with NO syrup & even though my d-i-l asked for & confirmed with her that she’d brought sugar free syrup, she had not. I will never go there again. To ice this horrible cake, the cheapskate owner who told her to deny my veggie had no AC on in the middle of August, he had the door open, it was hot as hell & filled with flys. Horrible!

Admittedly, I’ve got a sentimental attachment to Geet’s: like clockwork, my grandfather would stop here whenever he drove me from Philly to the shore. I loved going there with him. If my grandmother was with us, he’d order a tunafish sandwich, coffee and split an order of fries with me — what’s generally the«safe» meal to order in a restaurant if you were Kosher, as we were. If she wasn’t, then he’s cheat a little and get a very non-Kosher cheeseburger. They’ve both sadly been gone over 30 years but Geet’s is still around and remains a great quintessential Jersey diner. Huge selection of, well, everything and really good soup coming with most orders. We’ve tried sandwiches, salads, breakfast dishes and everything’s been delicious. Plus waitstaff is terrific: friendly, attentive and helpful. Note that if you’re heading to the shore, there’s a jughandle at the intersection that enables you to get to Geet’s on the other side of the Black Horse Pike. Easy in/out. And one of these days, I’m going to get the tunafish, coffee and fries just for old time’s sake.

Best diner in South Jersey! We are here for breakfast at least once a week and come for dinner when we’re in a pinch too. Best egg sandwiches around. They also make my favorite French onion soup! Always a lot of food for the price.

Food is par. Don’t order the bagel and lox. They served it to me with the lox on a bare bagel which made the bread mushy from the moisture. And not enough cream cheese. The bacon is often overcooked and dry. However, it’s still bacon.

Average NJ Diner fare. Breakfast is better than L/D. Been there six or seven times since moving to Williamstown. Service is average, sometimes spotty. Burgers are above average, the Italian and pasta dishes below. Last time I had the chicken parm it was very dry.

With the amount of cars in the parking lot I really thought we would have a wait but we walked in and within minutes we were seated. Its so typical of the«Jersey» diner décor with lots of mirrors but the seating is not as cramped as I’ve seen in other diners. Danielle was at our table in no time at all with a friendly greeting and ready to take our order. My husband always seems to go with the pancakes and sausage and I chose simple scrambled eggs that came with homefries along with a side of bacon and creamed chipped beef. Now my Nanna was the only person who made creamed chipped beef for me growing up so I have a tough time not comparing it to hers. In all fairness to Geetz I will just say it could have used more beef and less thickness but tasty all the same. Of course my husband cleaned his plate(as I knew he would) his pancakes were ok but his breakfast sausage was a little too well done. I try to clean my plate but the potatoes end up getting the best of me. I will say the bacon was so good and tasted like they just made it and not from a big batch they made earlier in the week like we experienced at other places. its a place we will go back to for breakfast again, it was quick and friendly service, a very nice and enjoyable atmosphere and tasty food. Not a bad way to start a Sunday morning!

Whenever I would go here, I would order the exact same thing. Chicken croquettes, french fries and apple sauce. Then I always had chocolate pudding for dessert. The food was always good, I could probably go somewhere else and have the exact same thing and it could taste 1000x better. The reason I will never forget my dinners here is because the last time I ate here I was with my grandmother who passed away in September of 2013. The staff was always friendly even though my grandmother was a regular and a bit picky over certain things. I’ll probably never go back(but not for any bad reason), I just don’t want to lose that dining experience I had with my grandmother.

This review concerns the«sports bar», not the diner. Geets sports bar isn’t bad, the specials are generally good, and the clientelle is a good friendly mix of middle age/young and male/female(depending on what night you go). but sometimes it tries to be something other than what it is. The bar is attached to and shares a bathroom with a diner, though the bar area is fully separate — not an extension of the diner. While parking around the permiter of the diner can be scarce, the rear parking closer to the bar entrance is large. The bar is roomy, the décor is non-descript, and the lighting is a little too dim. there is a small dance floor and a dj booth. there are lots of flat screens, which is about the only thing that qualifies it as a sports bar. The bar chose the«cute chick» route instead of «good bartender» route, but that’s most jersey bars these days. the service is acceptable for the price point. the ordinary drink prices are what you would expect for a respectable but not elite bar — and the specials are good. unlike sharky’s and taylors that often run coors and miller specials respectively, geets specials tend to be «domestic draft» and at least one drink type appealing to women. that means i can get a yeungling — which flies under the domestic radar despite the step up in quality it represents compared to the big three — for $ 2.00 + $ 1.00 tip on some nights. That’s really very reasonable, in my opinion. The clientelle isn’t as young and fun as the sharky’s crowd, but its more diverse. Its FAR from the dangerous slum put Bob and Doug’s has become. And the crowd isn’t nearly as douchy as Taylor’s. Id’s say the average age is about 30, depending on which night you go, with there typically being a handful of boys and girls older and younger than that point. The clientelle’s style is a little more urban, a little less rock & roll than sharkeys — but compared to Taylor’s, the style is laid back, casual, and you won’t feel left out wearing everyday clothes whatever your style may be. The one negative about Geets is that it tries hard to be something its not. Its not really a sports bar, even though it holds itself out to be one. It’s obvious that bar tenders and waitresses were hired on the basis of looks, but their looks are a big step down from the hipster hotties at The House of Brews or the totally fuckable milfs at Sharkys. And that’s ok — because I go to a bar like Geets to drink, not pretend I’m at a go-go. But the big one is the music. They bring in a DJ on the weekends, but he plays through the house PA system — which sounds horrible at the high volumes it get played. And I’ve watched the DJ — he’s just bouncing around a play list on a mac. The times I’ve been there, only one or two older women got up to dance — and briefly at that. So the«DJ» and the loud but lo – fi music becomes an unnecessary distraction. As a whole, I go to geets when I want an inexpensive beer at a bar with laid back crowd. If that’s what you’re looking for, I recommend it.

Geets… Definitely is not a name that screams great food but to my surprise— Geets hit the spot. My guy and I ordered breakfast: French toast with scrapple; pancakes with sausage and OJ. The French toast was fluffy, the sausage had a good crunch but not overcooked(I like that), the OJ was fresh and the rest was standard but done right. Locals know Geets well and greet each other by name as they flash in and out. It’s the type of atmosphere that is family friendly, but still serving the hungry. The tables have mini Tvs, which make for easy conversation. The waitresses are the type that call you, ‘Honey’ and make you feel like you’re more that money in their pocket. Would I come back to Geets? Definitely.

If you go stay on the diner side and go for the diner only. The sports bar is weak. The food was bad and the service was terrible. The crowd was sketchy at best. The diner part is great though.

The food was typical diner fare, nothing special. The prices were fair, and décor was fine. So why the two stars? The service. Our waitress, Jo, was an expert at not checking up on us. She not only forgot my juice, but also my wife’s ordered side. Halfway through the meal my daughter wanted refill of her milk but sadly we never saw Jo again until it was time to get the check. We came here on a whim, and will never come here again.

Solid south jersey diner. I would like to give this place a 3.5, just because the menu doesn’t have much excitement. I rounded up to a 4 because honestly I’ve only once had a bad experience in the many number or times I’ve been here.(She was an Obviously new waitress) We usually go for breakfast, but stopped here for dinner. The Greek gyro platter was very good and huge. And of course they have so many specials which include soup and salad. You could feed a family of 4 on 2 meals. Just a nice comfortable place. Staff is friendly. But beware the Cream chip beef. Its one of my fav breakfasts foods, but I’m Not a fan of it here. Probably another reason I was reluctant with my 4 stars.

Generic, unexciting diner food. I don’t really understand the fascination with diners in NJ, but I have tried better ones than this. The dining area looks cool due to retro 50s style remodel and they are open late at night, server seemed friendly, but my order arrived wrong. the food was OK, but completely average and uninteresting
