With a rotating menu of interesting and flavorful flavor combinations, and an patio seating area, you cannot go wrong.

Really awesome ice cream! I loved the employees, and the ice cream! The ice cream is creamy and thick. Great ice cream, great people.

Returning to Williamstown for the first time in four years, I was surprised to find this Williams College staple relocated to the end of Spring Street. The new location proves to be a great one, as there is ample patio seating and much more room to wait in line… which you will, especially in the summer, because this place is so popular, and with good reason. I went twice in the span of two days, and all the flavors I tried were exquisite. The best of the bunch(besides the peanut butter mud pie – I can’t ALWAYS choose the peanut butter flavor as the best, even if it’s my favorite) was the maple oatmeal cookie ice cream, a sweet, creamy concoction loaded with giant chunks of chewy oatmeal cookies. Best of all, Lickety Splits delicious treats are affordable(at least compared to the obscene prices I’m forced to pay for quality ice cream in Boston), so you can feel free to treat yo self without breaking the bank.

If you’re coming to Lickety abide by these rules: –wait patiently. There’s often a line, and it’s always worth the wait –don’t ask how much the sprinkles are– they are free. There’s also no such thing as regular sprinkles. Specify your color and you’ll make your scooper happy. –purple cow is black raspberry flavor. It’s good. Taste some! The ice cream here is great! It’s cash only– there’s an atm across the street. Great spot for kids, looking at cute dogs, and there’s plenty of parking and seating nearby.

Awesome! I had the purple cow on the waffle. Loved the big chunks of chocolate and macadamia.

We were so in the mood for ice cream, and really was only to find this place in town. The place had a nice patio for sitting and it was a beautiful day. The ice cream flavors were plentiful, yet nothing really seemed interesting. I finally went with the vanilla and chocolate chip. The texture was a little gummy, and not a lot of flavor. The dark chocolate was good though. My daughter got the black and white malt, which she said she liked. Overall, I was a little disappointed.

Totally not impressed by this new location. Beside the nice patio, the counter to order is ridiculous small, and creates a huge line. Signage and board are unclear. Plus you can’t see anymore where they scoop your ice cream. I personally wanna see the frozen area and pick the flavor by seeing it! I got a scoop of purple cow(blueberries ice cream with dark and white chocolate chips) on a chocolate cone. Not impressed by the ice cream flavor, and the cone was the opposite of crunchy. It almost melt in my hand.

The best ice cream you will ever have. Make sure to get toppings too– homemade whipped cream is always a good one!

Though no longer an indoor establishment they still serve Herrell’s ice cream which is in my opinion is the best

Only soft ice cream. Many flavors(25+) and Good service. Good low fat frozen yogurt. But, was disappointed with banana split boat. Not usually splurge, should have had the yogurt like my daughter did.

Another great 50’s dairy bar. We pulled up to a line of waiting customers. They had all three windows going and even accept credit card at one window. I was looking for a place near my hotel with great non fat soft serve. Lickity Split not only had that but they had kiddie cones and chocolate dip. The kiddie cone is that perfect craving satisfying guilt free size. Perfecto! I found the nonfat ice cream to have a lot more flavor than Kurver Kreme. I’m definitely a fan and will return again and again.

This small ice cream place features ice cream from Harrell’s in Northampton. Unfortunately, it seems like they only have a small hand-full of flavors on any given day and standard flavors are often left out in favor of some of Harrell’s more unique flavors like Nutmeg Spice, and Pumpkin. Don’t get me wrong, Harrell’s ice cream is great but if you’re going hoping to enjoy some of your old favorites you may be let down. Their lack of old classics gets this place a 2.5 /5.
