Clarion Hotel

The hotel itself is nothing special. Very old feel to it and it’s pretty basic when it comes to the rooms. However, that being said, there are a lot of positives to it. The food is very good. Bar is fully stocked and very inexpensive. Indoor pool and hot tub as well which is amazing (especially in Buffalo during the winter). Very friendly staff, and whenever I’ve stayed there it has been under $ 85 a night. Quiet and clean as well and in a great location. So, even though it is older, it still has many nice things to go check out!

This Hotel is way overcharging for what it’s really worth. The hotel is very old and dated, with the old rustic smell as you walk in, the walls, ceilings, moldings all have areas of rusty damage and stains. I even saw a 3″ slug «Big worm» on my room wall, I informed the front desk and he was not surprised at all, it was just like he was told that a towel was on the floor, he was even making fun of me saying:” Oh so you have not seen a slug before?!” Well, No I haven’t, nor have I ever seen one at a $ 35 motel!
In any case, if you read this review you need to know that this $ 120/​night hotel isn’t a holiday inn nor a Hilton. It’s an old motel that is very busy and fully booked for God knows what reason and that’s why you pay that much.

So far, not good! I am glad that I have a busy weekend! Can you say REMODEL? Inexpensive, but outdated. All fitness equipment is broken, Internet, broken, shuttle was late… I promise to change this if I see improvement.

The Clarion looks shoddy from the outside and the inside is about the same. I will start with the positives: The room was affordable and large. Now the negatives… The rooms are outdated and falling apart. Our toilet was cracked. The cleanliness of the Hotel is sub standard. We had a room on the first floor that had an odor. My daughter also found damp spots on the carpet… GROSS… There was stuff stuck to the walls (like skid marks… GROSS). There is a beaten up fitness center that my wife tried to use and she couldn’t get the machine to work. The pool looks good, but my kids wanted to go swimming and a gentleman stopped me and told me that someone defecated in the pool and he was correct. The staff claimed it was a hairball, but even so that was GROSS.
So if you’re shooting down Rt 90 and you need a place to sleep this place is OK. I strongly recommend requesting a room on the second floof and don’t bother with the pool or fitness center.
