I really enjoyed sitting at the bar for a light dinner. The harvest chicken salad is the best salad I’ve had in a long time. It was light on dressing and the server was very gracious about subbing the provolone cheese for a little bit of crumbly cheddar. The chicken must be poached –it’s so tender and moist, it nearly melts in your mouth. And the assortment of lettuce is very appetizing. They also have a lot of beers on tap –I am a big fan of EBC Blueberry, which they even serve with a scattering of blueberries :) Prices are in line with what’s normal around here, too, I think. I would recommend coming here, it’s even really easy to place an order at lunchtime and dash in to pick it up.

Food was good but took FOREVER to come out when the place was at 40% capacity. We waited 30 min for a small appetizer and side salad and then another 45 min for our entrees. service was AWFUL! Our waitress seemed very overwhelmed with her 3 tables, most of the time she was MIA. Won’t be back soon.

Small environment, nice furniture and modern Pub look. Most impressive thing about it was their China, their fancy looking bar and their burgers … if the burgers had been cooked right. When you’re a first-timer you like to try different things; I ordered the Clam Chowder. It had a flat flavor(definitely needed extra salt and pepper) and it came out lukewarm. I don’t know about you but when I order a soup that’s supposed to be hot, I want it to look like it’s come straight from Hell. The burger was delicious and juicy but did not come out Medium Rare, it was more on the Medium Well Side. The reason I didn’t send it back was because it took an extremely long time for our food to come out. Much longer than one would expect for two burgers and when they have a food runner. While waiting for our food to come, I did look around at what everyone else had ordered. The food did look delicious and the presentation of the food in general is very nice … so while the Pub is definitely not a first choice restaurant, if I was in Wegmans and didn’t feel like a sub or sushi and I didn’t have to be anywhere, I’d give it another go. I like to give places that I’ve had a meh first time at another chance. If the second time is meh as well. Then it’s added to my last resort restaurant list.

I’ve been to the Pub by Wegmans twice now– each time the food and service have been good, the atmosphere however, is a little… constrained? Most of the tables are right on top of each other, so you can basically hear everything the people eating next to you are saying. I understand the space is limited, but shouldn’t this have been planned out a little better? I do love their collaborations with Big Ditch Brewery– both the Oatmeal Cookie Ale, and the Orangeade Pale Ale were really good, and I like that they’re supporting other local businesses(as Wegmans usually does). My second time there, I ordered the Portobello Steak, which was super yummy. My friend ordered the fish tacos, which she raved about as well. There were also a handful of good happy hour food/drink specials to pick from. I think the Pub’s got good food and service– they just need a little bit more in terms of atmosphere and décor. I know it’s Wegmans, but I don’t necessarily think their Pub needs to look like the rest of the store(it’s decorated the exact same as the casual sitting area where shoppers can sit and eat from the prepared foods section). No big complaints here, just room for some visual improvement… I’ll definitely be back!

Meh. First, if you’re going to renovate an entire store, why oh why start with the building of something new, like, um, a pub – at a grocery store? It would have been a fitting last thing to-do. The pub is an odd mix of sports bar(in a small area, two televisions tuned to different channels) and fast food joint. Sitting at the bar, you get a plain view into the kitchen and see the workers. I just wanted to scurry back there and pitch in, tell them to rest for a minute. Plus I do like a little mystery when eating out; I don’t care to see all that rushing about as they create various dishes. There were several attendants at the bar, and in a hell-uv-a hurry, whisking past, muttering to one another and side eyeing us asking if we were ready to order: and then breezing to the couple two doors down. There were several brews on tap, we each ordered a different one. Having set them down, I added that I have… a …couple…ques…tions – but our server was gone. Three women servers huddled in front of us and eventually one attended to us, pleasantly answered our questions and the order was placed. We shared a wonderful Harvest Chicken Salad, asking for cheddar to be substituted for the provolone. After much ado and uncertainty from the server, as to whether they HAD cheddar,(and hearing what cheeses she knew they did have, but I was certain a PUB would have cheddar) she said she’d have to check. Surprise! They had cheddar. The generous salad contained Romaine, mixed greens, dried cranberries and raisins, pecans and white balsamic vinaigrette. The place was clean as could be. Perhaps the associates were new on the job; they seemed to be hard working, just very rushed. The atmosphere was signature Wegmans, overstimulating: lots of noise, distractions and awful overhead music. It was hard to discern who the target market is, and they just tossed in this and that hoping to land an audience. I will mention that the Wegmans eating area in Canandaigua is impressive — the environment is airy, spacious and with a first-class outdoor eating area amid nature. The Pub here has a parking lot and the side of Target – doesn’t get less charming or relaxing. Big Wegmans fan I am, not so of this Pub. With all the stellar WNY eateries, I’ll choose Wegmans solely for grocery shopping.

Usually, after a few midday drinks, I’m faced with the conundrum of figuring out where to sober up before driving home. The Pub By Wegmans is the ultimate solution to this problem. Just when I thought Wegmans couldn’t get any better, they went and helped me make day drinking easier. I went to the Pub for the first time this previous Saturday. I ordered one of the easiest dishes to mess up: a turkey burger. I was relieved to find that it was moist(ugh, that word), well-seasoned, and complemented perfectly by its gyro-themed accompaniments. On the side, I had a Caesar salad, which was equally delicious. My fiancée had the applewood bacon burger, which was(by default) way tastier than my turkey burger, but sometimes we have to suffer for our health, right? The décor inside was warm and cozy. It definitely had the vibe of a stand-alone pub, even though we were nestled into the corner of a grocery store. I forgot where we were until we stepped outside and remembered that we were in the eat-in section of Wegmans. We immediately grabbed carts and finished our pre-Easter shopping. If we’re talking«convenience», then you really can’t beat this place. Service was friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable. They also have a pretty awesome-looking happy hour menu, which will lure me back in the future.

My husband suggested we try here, and at first I wanted to turn up my nose. «Eat at Wegmans? mehhhhh». But then I couldn’t think of anyplace I wanted to go eat at, so he won. Sometimes you have to let your husband win. As it turns out, I like this place’s menu. We came for a late lunch on a weekend afternoon. We had to wait around 10 minutes to be seated but were entertained by the live music playing. It was a two dudes singing about how much Budweiser sucks, I enjoyed it. We were not thrilled with the table we were sat at, but beggars can’t be choosers. It was like the Cheesecake Factory or Euro style dining with the tables super close together. I hate that… I hate that so much. We were sandwiched between two tables of old people who were very loud talkers. Between the old people shouting at each other and the live music near by, it was no place to have a conversation for us. I would not recommend this place for date night or if you want to talk to someone. If you are looking for an excuse to stare at your phone while waiting for food, this place is for you. We started with the chips and dip with vegetables. It came with a generous portion of a yummy onion dip, homemade chips and carrots and cucumber. The cucumber was cut weird and was mostly skin, we hardly touched that. The chips tasted stale like they had been sitting out in the open air but the dip was so good, it was forgivable. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger, he liked it. I tasted it and I thought it was dry, but my husband always orders things well done so it was his fault. I had a french dip. It was good because the onions on it are a little sweet, but the meat was fatty and I crunched in to a small bone on one bite. That was disturbing. Not sure I would get it again. Both of these came with fries. Finished with the banana chocolate bread pudding. It was not great. Very dry, just like bread. Service was not great. We had the bartender who was doing double duty on the bar and serving a few tables. All in all, we decided it was mostly enjoyable. We LOVED that onion dip, hopefully next time the chips won’t be soggy and stale. They have several types of beer, a decent wine list and make a few other drinks. We’ll be back.

The Pub is a solid 3. Maybe 3.5, but I’m not yet a fan, so I can’t give it a 4. The food here isn’t bad, but it could be a bit improved. I ordered the fish tacos. The plate looked great, but the tacos themselves were okay only. The fish was over cooked and a bit rubbery. Plus there was a ton of cabbage slaw on the taco that was just a bit too much. It came with a side of fries, which were AWESOME. I’m under the impression that you can choose a different side but I was happy to have these delicious fries on my plate! The space is nice, maybe a bit tight. There was a baby in a high chair right behind my seat, which made it very close corridors for anyone to squeeze through. But our waitress was very efficient and friendly. I’d come back to try some other menu items that sounded good to me. Maybe I’ll be a fan once I try more of the menu!

Brand new addition to the store, very nice. Staff were wonderful, food was great, due to the snowy weather, we did not partake in wine but look forward to that when the patio opens. As of right now, no criticisms. Best of luck, please finish construction and bring on spring.

I love wegmans. I do. The oatmeal cookie beer was fantastic, with a cookie included. I ordered a burger. l medium. It was overcooked, bland, and it was the greasiest burger I have ever eaten. I joked that I would probably get a zit from the grease… unfortunately I did break out near my mouth the next day!!! I would probably eat there again but would try something else. As everyone else is saying, it is a small place! Definitely make reservations.

I don’t know if I got lucky or just went at a good time, but I had no wait for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was during their 100th birthday celebration, too, so I’d have expected a wait. My husband and I were seated quickly, but by the time our server got there, we had already decided what to order. I’m guessing it had been about five minutes. Victoria was friendly, but it felt like she was going over a script. She even said, «and that’s the end of my spiel» after telling us the specials, etc. We both ordered a salad from the specials menu(strawberry spinach salad). Victoria offered to bring bread, but we declined, and instead ordered an appetizer of pub pretzels. Before we got our appetizer, our drinks came quickly followed by an amuse-bouche of guacamole and a cheese cube(meh). The pretzels soon followed. They came with two sauces, a mustard and something that tasted like butter and cheese, but whatever it was, I didn’t like iI. The pretzels were *fantastic* though — crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. They also aren’t too salty, which I appreciated. When the salads came, I was sorry that I did not get my dressing on the side. I usually do ask for it on the side, but forgot. The poppyseed dressing was tasty, but there was too much on the spinach. The salad itself was delicious, with fresh fruit, candied pecans and a generous portion of cheese. We spent about $ 30 on the meal, which seemed fair. The food was as good as we expected it would be. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

Stopped by Wegmans pub not to long ago and I must say I was disappointed. I ordered a beer and I gotta say their draft selection was the nothing special, same choices I could get anywhere else. Nothing out of the ordinary. Then I ordered a hamburger medium rare and it was well done. I know the Wegman’s pub is still in it infancy stages but I hope they can eventually get up to speed and maintain the same reputation as the store. The positive experience I had was the great service and the fries where very good. That’s why I give it 2 out 5 stars.

I wanted to love a bar in a Wegmans so bad. The décor it that of an upscale restaurant with lots of wood accents. They have a bar with several taps of local craft beers. Service is incredible and we had a really knowledge and super pleasant server. I went with the cheeseburger soup and a cheeseburger as this place is within miles of some REALLY good burgers(Rock Bottom, Grovers, Bugsy’s, Five Guys…) and I wanted to see how they would stack up. The soup was perfect, probably the best cheeseburger soup I have even had and I eat a lot. Between the soup and the entrée the server brought out a tangerine wedge with goat cheese and mint. A surprising little treat. Then the burgers came. We both ordered«medium rare» and mine was under cooked and my friends was over cooked(yet still incredibly edible). I let the server know and without me even needing to ask she took both burgers off the bill. Not the best first meal there but the soup and service were so good I will definitely be back and re-review The Pub. Check it out! Wegmans is going to perfect this place like they do with most everything they do so I’ll be back… and when I do I’ll update.

Pros: Good food, good beer, great prices Cons: Poor layout of space, too crowded, kids should NOT be allowed. It’s a bar for Christ sake!

Just meh, nothing terrible but nothing great. The space is much smaller than I expected and due to the space constraint, there seems to always be a wait. Be prepared to wait or make a reservation ahead of time. Our server, Sue, was lovely and kept our drinks flowing. The«meh» is because of the food. We all ordered one of the burger options, with two of them being $ 6 for a «burger week» special, and the Greek turkey burger coming in at $ 12. The Greek turkey burger’s toppings had an odd aftertaste that I could only compare to plastic. It was described to come with tzatziki and there was nothing that tasted like tzatziki on the dish. The arugula salad I substituted for fries was great, but had an insanely small portion. I was expecting amazing flavor and creative dishes from a Wegmans restaurant, but it turns out this is just an average«pub food» place. Maybe I’ll be back, but I’m in no rush and I won’t be ordering the Greek turkey burger.

Went here for the first time and I have to say it was sort of a let-down. Like any WNY-er, I’m a huge fan of Wegmans, so I had high hopes for the Pub. The menu was okay, but pretty limited I thought. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and a side arugula salad, my husband had the grouper sandwich. He enjoyed his sandwich okay, but the piece of fish is pretty small and had a big end chunk of a tomato on it. My quesadilla was bland, and barely lukewarm when served, but the lime sour cream was a nice and unique addition. The worst part was that there was a big(2 inch) chicken bone in it… Which I found by nearly choking on it and having to spit it out. Not so pleasant. Also, the side arugula salad had a nice dressing on it but was just arugula and a small amount of shaved Parmesan. I know it’s a side salad, but adding some dried cranberries or cherry tomatoes or something would have been nice. Our waitress was really friendly, and was gracious about the bone. She offered me a free dessert, which I declined. Overall I think the food could use some improvements, and greater attention to detail by kitchen staff. I do plan to try it again and try some of the other menu options.

I was excited to try this new place when I was in town! We had to put our names on a waiting list. They said 20 minutes but it was probably around 10 which was awesome. We just walked around the grocery store while waiting because they are able to text you once your table is ready. They have local beers on tap which I think is really cool. I tried the oatmeal cookie ale. I’m not usually a dark beer drinker but it had a cookie in the title so how could I not try it?! I enjoyed it overall. It was served with an oatmeal cookie which was awesome. Since I’m not a dark beer drinker I’m not sure if I would have it again though. For meal I got the Chicken«Caprese» which is chicken in a red sauce topped with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. It was served with basil pesto orzo pasta. I have to say the orzo pasta was my favorite part. I enjoyed dipping it in the red sauce. The chicken part was just ok. The service was good. Sometimes it can lack when it is a newly opened restaurant but I wasn’t disappointed. I’d like to come back for appetizers next time because I saw a couple I would like to try.

SO happy that my boyfriend recommended that we try this place, i totally forgot that it existed! I also wanted to be the first to review this bust sadly I’m not. Me and my boyfriend came in last Tuesday before we did some last minuet Christmas shopping. We decided that we would take a seat at the bar, normally if it’s just the two of us we will set at the bar at any place. We were greeted by the bartender who was quick with offering us a drink and food menu. He was super polite, attentive and kept this bar clean constantly while still delivering us great service. for my drink i decided to go with the house-made sangria, LOVED it! Totally recommend this, please try it, i hate most sweet wine but i loved this. My boyfriend just got a beer, boring! :p We didn’t order any apps this time around i wasn’t rly that hungry but the selection didnt look too bad. I got the fish tacos and my boyfriend got the burger with a side salad, both were fantastic. I am always hesitant to try the fish tacos but when i was talking with the bartender trying to decide what to order he told me out of the three i was thinking about that the fish tacos were one of the more popular selections. the fish in my tacos was fresh, the flavors were perfect. The guacamole and whatever the dressing was on there made it complete. My boyfriend said he liked his burger and that the salad was actually super good. I didn’t try either but I’ll take his word for it! I am looking forward to coming back and updating my review with more photos and food recommendations.

Clean restaurant with friendly service. The place lacks training for the staff. The hostess and the server gave conflicting information about whether the ingredients were from the Wegmans store. The lobster roll was overdressed and drenched the bread. The mussels were under seasoned and borderline bland.
