I hate Chinese but unfortunately it’s my husbands favorite food. We went here for his birthday this year and I was amazingly Surprised by how good their food was. Everything was fresh and a very good quality. They have a lot of vegetarian and gluten free choices as it’s often hard to find those in current restaurants. When we left I told him we could get take out the following week I was worried when we got there that the prices would be high due to the nice atmosphere and good quality food but it was pretty average. I would say this is the best Chinese in town easily

A new exciting discovery for authentic Chinese food in the area! I used to work out a lot at World Gym next to it, but never discover this gem as a good one, I was actually portrait it as American Chinese. «Wok & Roll, come on…» My family went to this eatery on a weekend night, as our regular place was full and had to wait 30 minutes. The place is small with probably 8 tables, then I found out it could be easily organized. As for us, they put three 2-ppl table together. The environment is oriental and clean. We ordered pepper and salt shrimp, chicken lettuce wrap, bok Choy, sweet and sour pork short ribs, and beef fried noodle. Like the noodle, wrap. Short ribs had a sour flavor, bok Choy was different, and shrimp dish has more leaf green than shrimp. The flavor is good and more of Canton style. The service could be better and I just leave as that. I give it four star as the taste is hard to find in the area and cheap, if it is in NYC, may not be that competitive. I will certainly return to explore more dishes as their menu is long.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and was very delighted by the quality. The sweet and sour sauce looks different than he normal bright red sauce you find at the other Chinese food places. The sweet and sour sauce is home made and delicious, it’s not so over powering and sweet like you make be used at other Chinese takeouts. With a clever name like«Wok and Roll» you have to go!

Yum! Normally I hate eating Chinese food, but this place makes it really well. It’s not greasy or heavy. There isn’t too much sauce, so the meat isn’t soggy. The lunch specials are only $ 6.25 and they will fill you up without making you tired or feel too full.

Came here on a holiday weekend for some dim sum, dunplings and pork buns. There are not very many places for this around, and I havent had good dim sum since I was in NYC but this place helped me satisfy the craving. I will start with the prices. The menu itself has a lot of yummy choices at a very reasonable cost but I went straight for the good stuff, the stuff I needed. DIMSUM!!! I was happy to see a small plethora of choices here and naturally wanted to try them all. The waitress was very pleasant and had no problem taking a minute to explain the difference between the types and even went into detail on the sauces that came with. She explained the difference between regular steamed dumpling sauce and how its marinated with green onion and how it has a bit more sugar then the plum dim sum sauce. The other sauce was a black vinegar and honestly my fav was the sweeter one, but they were all respectively delicious. The pork buns were quite good and are what you would expect, but slightly on the smaller side compared to some places. The steamed dumplings were very very good and fresh which was nice because I can tell the difference. Shrimp and Chive dumplings were very tasty but the noodle oufside was maybe too thin or slightly over done. No biggie. King shrimp dumplings were very yummy but at almost $ 6 an order, they should give more then 4 or perhaps somehow make them larger. They were small but with big taste, especially with the black vinegar sauce. Overall this hit the spot and left me satisfied. I will most likely be back soon and would highly recommend you swing by, even for the lunch special which seemed very reasonably priced at under $ 7!!! SCORE !!!

In the mood for dim sum, I found Wok & Roll via Unilocal and it was very good. Smaller menu, the items were very freshly cooked/steamed and sauteed. We had: Shrimp dumpling(very good) Sui Mai(OK) Soup dumplings(very good) Calamari(very, very good!) Beef with rice noodles(very good) Shrimp/chives dumplings(OK) Steamed BBQ pork buns(good) Curry fish balls(very good) They also serve boba(or bubble) tea! We ordered a lot of food to see what they could do and brought home a lot of leftovers.

Amazing restaurant. If you are looking for some authentic Chinese food, this is your place! They have a very detailed menu with nice waitress who can understand you nicely. The food is always fresh and thus tastes amazing. We had a house special fried rice with mango chicken as main. And chicken dumpling and Malaysian style noodles. All the food were amazing. Also I really loved how they served oranges after our mean for free! Definitely coming here again!

I flew in from the west coast last week. While in San Francisco, my wife and I dined at a well-reviewed dim sum restaurant and also an established Chinese restaurant in the East Bay. Wok and Roll surpasses both of them, as well as most every Chinese /Cantonese restaurant I’ve visited on the west coast(LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) in recent memory. Well there’s one LA Szechuan restaurant I recall being of similar quality, and that was back in 1979. At Wok and Roll, service is courteous and methodical — meaning a bit slow and clearly made-to-order which is a good thing. Every dish at our table for four arrived in its time, piping hot and perfectly cooked. My fish and tofu #79 was superb: Seasoning dialed in to enhance and not overwhelm the flavors. Rich and not oily. Distinct flavors of carrots, snap peas, shiitake mushroom, onion, fresh ginger and fresh whole garlic. Haddock slices moist. Tofu pieces lightly breaded and fried. Perfectly spiced medium with chili paste per my request. Yum. The juicy pork dim sum appetizer was likewise excellent, and my dining companions offered similar praise for their dishes. In my opinion, at least on my first visit, Wok and Roll is far beyond ordinary, and a real gem in the WNY restaurant scene.

Amazing!!! From the appetizers, dumplings, won ton soup, to entrees… Everything was so good! The pork dumplings with broth inside were incredible. The shrimp fried rice was INCREDIBLE! The chicken and mixed vegetables was the best I ever had. My mom loved the sizzling shrimp. The butterflied shrimp with eggs and bacon was also amazing!!! The shrimp dumpling soup was very authentic. Even the after dinner fresh orange slices and fortune cookies were great!!! Service was awesome!!! Will definitely go back!

Wok and Roll might be my new favorite Chinese and Cantonese food restaurant in WNY. This place is awesome. I had been looking for a good dim sum place and finally found one! The restaurant itself is small but cozy. We sat at a booth, which was comfortable and more than spacious for two people. The waitress gave us the lunch menu which was super cheap and offered q good selection of Chinese food. We wanted dim sum so we asked for the regular menu. We decided to split a shrimp and wonton noodle soup which was huge and more than enough for two people. We also decided to split King shrimp dumplings, mini juicy pork buns, green scallion pancakes and green lotus leaf sticky rice. All from the dim sum menu and all unbelievably delicious. We ended the meal with the General tso chicken which was awesome as well. This place is the real deal when it comes to Chinese and Cantonese food. I highly suggest you check it out yourself.

This place is small and adorable. I usually get the dragon and Phoenix and I’m never disappointed. The staff always remembers us when we come again which is delightful! I wish they served bubble tea on more than just the weekend :(

Well, the quest continues. Carrying my chop sticks from one Chinese location to another in search of a go-to location where I can enjoy that special Asian meal for one. Tonight the WOK didn’t roll my way and they are getting crossed off the list. It’s not that this isn’t a popular location because it is judging by the steady stream of take out’s(I am pretty sure the owners didn’t arrange those folks just for my Unilocal review.) and the table for four all knew the staff. This is a pleasant place to eat but I need excellence in Chinese food before I return. The complimentary fried noodles with duck sauce alerted my taste buds to the quality of the oil they were cooked in. Not greasy but oil flavored with an average duck sauce to ward off the wok run off tastes. The nice waiter did apologize for several delays attributing it to the chef having to cook up a new batch of Won Ton soup(Whatever happened to Won Ton from the can?). Well the Won Ton was the best part of the meal. Chewy, doughy wrappers covering a really tasty blend of filling. The broth was flavorful with none of the noodles oil after taste. I had another considerable wait for my Szechuan Chicken with brown rice. The chef did an amazing trick with my entrée … It featured extremely hot broccoli with cold fried onions and peppers. The«chicken» was the thinly sliced bird that always make one wonder what free range that anorexic chicken roamed on. One credit to the chef is the spiciness of the dish. Amidst a bitter sauce was the perceptible flavor of hot peppers. Although not uh bad … I wouldn’t order this again. The heating of the entrees elements or lack there of attests to magical abilities. Along with the check came the uh fortune cookie(No Powerball prediction.) and two very lonely wilted orange slices. Not sure why they thought two orange slices would make me go wow … So another Chinese dinner leaves me wanting more … Not more of their food just MORE! Maybe I can find the lost pieces from that orange. Packing the chop sticks into their holder and still searching for a GOTO Chinese restaurant.

I’ve been here for lunch a few times so far, and I really have enjoyed the lunch specials. It’s probably one of the better lunch deals I’ve run across along Sheridan in Williamsville. The lunch specials are mostly Americanized Chinese food, so your standard broccoli chicken, Kung Pao shrimp, and so on. You get a choice of brown, fried, or white rice with your meal, and wonton, hot and sour soup, or a salad. So far, I’ve had Kung Pao Shrimp, eggplant chicken and garlic chicken. All of them were great, and the coworker I went with really liked her broccoli chicken. Lee has had a couple of lunch specials as well and he really enjoyed both. They offer a gluten free menu, which is really nice to have as an option. One of these days I need to actually visit for dinner, and try their house menu, which is supposed to be really great. But so far, one of my favorite lunch spots in the area.

This place has the most authentic Chinese(Cantonese) food in all of Buffalo so far. The food is delicious and tastes nothing like your typical Chinese takeout place– cause it’s not. The best wonton noodle soup in Buffalo is from here! You cannot get wonton noodle soup as delicious anywhere else but here! I love everything I’ve tried here so far. The appetizers they have resemble dim sum dishes. They’re kind of pricey but it’s so yummy in my tummy. The restaurant set up is very nice and comfortable and I just love this place for some real authentic Chinese food I can’t get anywhere else in Buffalo. Btw, not going to lie, I do love visiting Steve’s Pet World after this place… It’s in the same plaza as Wok ‘n Roll and you get to see and play with puppies!!!

FINALLY some quality Chinese food in the Buffalo area. Honest to goodness I had all but given up hope that I would find some decent takeout(I never even considered sit-down) Chinese food since I moved to WNY. Luckily, I got a new job in Williamsville and Unilocal clued me into this incredible find. Ambiance is cozy, the restaurant is small with a decent number of tables fit comfortably in the space. After walking in, you are quickly greeted by one of two waiters/waitresses on staff(I have only seen two working there, both are incredibly sweet, quick to serve and polite). You are immediately seated and handed a menu. They quickly bring your drink and fried noodles(?) I’m not entirely sure what the fried little crispies are, but they are incredible, crunchy little buggers served with duck/sweet sauce. A perfect(free) appetizer! I have only been for lunch, you are served a short menu of items each served with your choice of soup(I always get Wonton, served with small dumplings, scallions, and pieces of pork) and rice(white, brown or fried). All dishes may be served steamed at your request(can I hear a chicken and broccoli with brown rice that doesn’t blow my diet? I THINKSO!) Everything I have had to this point has been delicious, general zao’s chicken is plump, juicy, fresh and saucy. Fried rice is served with fresh, crisp vegetables as is the chicken lo mein. White rice is nice and fluffy. At the end of you meal you are served the check with a fortune cookie to finish off your meal with a tasty little piece of wisdom. My favorite thing about place so far(obviously aside from the incredible food) is the friendly atmosphere. Many of the people eating there at lunch are from the corporate buildings around the area and they seem to have fostered quite a friendly relationship with the staff. Nothing warms your heart like a room full of happy people who have fostered a sweet relationship with the staff while served quality(and affordable) food. I will be back again. And again. And again. Nevermind this is definitely bad for the diet.

Let’s be real. The food here is a healthier version of Chinese-American takeout. I still love the mini juicy pork buns, shrimp rolls, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, wonton soup, egg drop soup, etc. here. However their service leaves a lot to be desired. That being said. I’ve struggled with the star rating, but let’s just leave it at a 4 due to the actual food. Definitely not the service.

My husband has been bugging me for weeks that he wanted Chinese food. I don’t really like Chinese food, so I kept putting him off. He got me through a difficult outpatient surgery though yesterday, so every now and then I have to toss the man a bone. I gave in, we got take out Chinese food from Wok & Roll because I saw they have really good Unilocal reviews. The reviews did not lie, I don’t really like Chinese food but even I found this to be good. We got Sesame Chicken, fried rice, lo mein and white rice. The Sesame Chicken was the best thing, loved the sweet sauce on it. My toddler tends to not eat meat and it drives me nuts… he went WILD for the Sesame chicken from here. He also loved the lo mein and asked for seconds. He NEVER asks for more of anything, I’m always after his skinny little butt to eat more food but he was just crazy for what we got from Wok & Roll. My husband was delighted, he knows that since our son loved dinner tonight from here that he can have more Chinese food from here in the future. All in all, this place had our food ready fast, it was delicious, the price was decent and it was toddler approved.

My previous most excellent review didn’t post :( I will simply say everything was perfectly light and fresh tasting! The restaurant very clean and attractive.(I am not opposed to strip mall dining, but if I had been this would have changed my mind because the food was great.) Loved the basil chicken. It was loaded with perfectly done sugar snap peas, asparagus, mushroom, and basil of course. Menu options were intriguing and will bring me back to try again.
