Yep, really incredible. Jerk chicken with spicy sauce and a Ting. Chicken was amazing. Just hot enough, great flavor, rice and beans were delicious, veggies were wonderful. Service was excellent. This should definitely be your new favorite place in Willimantic. As said by someone who lived in a neighboring town for five years and has suffered through more Willibrew burgers than he would like to admit.

Friendly service and yummy meat pies. We ate in when they first opened.

Amazing in all respects. Food — jerk chicken, beans and rice, cabbage — was so flavorful, and plentiful. The woman at the counter, who I learned is the owner’s niece, was super friendly, helpful in explaining the menu, and warm. The owner came out later and we briefly chatted, too. For the price, service, and quality, this place easily deserves 5 stars and if you live in Willi and haven’t eaten here, you’re doing it wrong.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Went here with my fiancé for lunch and it was wonderful! The food is out of this world good and the people who work there are incredibly friendly and are always making sure you have everything you need. Will definitely go again! Also reasonably priced :) check it out! It’s a nice hidden gem.

Excellent food! The oxtail and jerk chicken are both very delicious and fresh. I also love the sauce together with the rice and beans! The owner is very kind and nice! He even gave us two dumplings for free! They are solid outside and soft inside with spinach and veggies. Both are yummy! Have a try! Really an awesome experience in this restaurant. Check it out and you will love the food deeply!

Great food and knowledgeable, friendly service; a little pricey for takeout(a side of cabbage, peppers, & carrots was $ 5!), but you get the benefit of authentic, unusual food, including jerk chicken and pork, and delicious curried goat. I can’t wait to try their oxtail, and other offerings!

Finally got to visit this restaurant and from the minute we walked in we were greeted with such warmth from the owners. The food was unbelievably delicious and the Jerk Chicken was juicy, seasoned with perfection and the sauce was amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back and try something different.

I had jerk chicken and pepper steak. Both were amazingly good! One tip i didn’t know is that you can choose size(small medium large)!!! So maybe next time I would mix and match two different menu(small) in one plate.

Had a great time here. Food was delicious and the owners were welcoming and interesting to talk to. Nice it is so close to Uconn but easy to get away from the crowds there.

I can’t give JMC any more stars, but if I could I’d add at least a couple. We held a big Jamaican-themed beach party for 150 guests, and called upon Mr. Richard for some Jamaican beef and chicken patties. The timing was a little off, but no problem! I’m still hearing rave reviews about the food, thanks in no small part to JMC. If you are in 100 miles of Willimantic, come visit. Best curry goat and authentic Caribbean dishes, and Richard and crew are as good as it gets. I cannot speak highly enough about this place!

Excellent food! Highly recommend it. Kids loved the stew chicken. My wife and I had curry and jerk chicken and both loved it. Easy street parking, nice and clean place. Richrd — the owner was very friendly, offered tasting of food before ordering and made sure we liked the food. Will go there again for sure.

We came here on a whim and decided to try small shop over a larger restaurant. The service and food topped anything we could expect. The owner let us try several of the signature dishes there all while engaging us and making sure everything was set. The food was better than expected. The Jamaican style had more of a flavor than a spice so it was enjoyable ever for a mild person like myself. I recommend this place ten times over to anyone looking at a bite to eat.

Delicious and authentic Jamaican cuisine. The owner is genuine and caters to his customers. I’ve personally watched this business grow, but the food has stayed the same, which is key to a great business. My personal favorites are the pork curry and any of the empanadas.

I promised I’ll come by in the 3rd day and I did it. I had curry chicken this time, and the owner knew I will be hitting the road after the meal so he gave me extra! The food was great and I took away one more platter for my tomorrow’s meal as well. Now I can drive back to Mass with a satisfied stomach!

First time around, it was a little tough to locate the restaurant because it is between buildings and store that never have their lights on. The interior is somewhat subpar even for the area, it was relative dark inside(maybe it’s due to the fact that it’s a rainy day today). It definitely feels like the kind of place where you have grab and go instead of dining in. The couple(?) running the restaurant was nice and friendly, though. My friend and I both had«curry goat», aka goat curry, which was the least mentioned among reviews, was on par with other restaurants that has a similar dish on their menu. However, it’s worthy to mention that there definitely was much bones in the goat curry, which could be troublesome for some. Their petties were ok. I had both the beef and the chicken petties and the beef petties was definitely the better among the two. Note: I was chatting with the couple when I was paying for the meal. They offered me some of their Ox tail when I mentioned that I was still somewhat hungry. Just like others had mentioned in the previous reviews, they were AWESOME! I am definitely coming back to try their Ox tail and jerked pork! Solid 4⁄5. Recommended.
