Food is always inconsistent and takes forever. Wait staff and bartenders are awesome though.

We haven’t had terrible experiences her but we haven’t had great ones either. Everything has been mediocre. Seems like they get most everything in frozen. Service has been decent and drinks ok. You probably won’t want to return here of you are a foodie…

This place is outrageous. We waited over 2 hours for poor quality food and service. It took over an hour just to be served a simple root beer. The staff seems poorly managed, with little attention paid to customers. THEPLATESANDSILVERWAREWERENOTCLEANED. This experience has happened on multiple occasions. Overall, do not ever come here.

My colleagues and I came to the Hilltop Restaurant for dinner. This restaurant is set in a residential area, a few miles from the UConn campus. The menu is a mix of American and Italian fare, offering items such as pizza, Drunken Demonico, fried seafood entrees, sandwiches, etc. We had the banquet room reserved, and there were several dishes that were served. I was so surprised at the large stainless steel bowl that was filled with bread that was brought out! A bowl with some wrapped butter came as well. The bread itself was warm, but they were definitely more on the dry end. There was fresh salad with a light vinaigrette dressing, with fresh slices of tomatoes and cucumbers. Stuffed Filet of Sole(crabmeat stuffing with Mornay cheese sauce, in a filet of sole) was pretty okay, but slightly bland; the crabmeat stuffing was nice and thick, and there was no fishy taste to it at all. I was also able to try their Chicken Parmesan(no pasta); the chicken cutlets were thin and baked well — I really enjoyed the crispy corners, and the sauce was slightly chunky. Sides of steamed vegetables(broccoli, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower) were tasty, and a penne pasta salad(with tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, and olives) was pretty okay. For dessert, coffee, tea, and double scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce were served. Service was very friendly, and I liked the little area that we were set up in for the privacy. +steamed vegetables +Stuffed Filet of Sole +friendly service +banquet room(to the left)

So happy to see this place open in my home town. It was a shame to see the last restaurant shut down years ago. Willington needs a place to go to! I’ve been here 6 or 7 times now so it’s time to do a quick review. The environment has a formal feel in the dining area. Very clean, modern feel. The bar area seems fun and I’m glad to see it expanded with high top tables. The service has been solid overall. They did a great job during a family gathering when we used the banquet room. They also helped my family out when my wife accidentally threw away a gift certificate that was intended for my inlaws(oops!) Overall very attentive and friendly. The food is pub fare done well overall. I liked their pizza, veal and chicken parm were excellent. The wings are hit or miss, I have had excellent wings on one visit and mediocre ones on another. I wasn’t a fan of the Buffalo chicken wrap, more blue cheese than buffalo. Overall no complaints though. My family has enjoyed their food as well. The prices here are reasonable. Slightly on the higher side but not enough to make me think twice about stopping by. Overall, there is no reason not to check this place out. Good food, nice staff, pleasent environment. I hope they stick around!

Close to the interstate… this dining establishment has good food, at good prices, and smacks of a locally owned TGI Fridays as a menu. Sandwiches, pizzas, salads… nothing unique but the food is good! Has a nice deck to sit on. I had the panetta sandwich which was large, toasted buttery bread, filled with meats and delicious toppings… even capers. Enjoyed it. wides Greek salad was huge with big cubes of feta and pepperoconis. Son had a very good pizza. Staff was friendly… helpful. Has a dew good craft drafts. Not really fast… even for a slow Thursday afternoon. But made to order. Recommended.
