Awful is an understatement! Board of Health would have a field day here. Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh!

No stars(gave it one only to post review) and not ever going back! Our first room reeked of cat urine, the next of cigarette smoke. We asked for non-smoking & pet-friendly for one small cocker. We got dirty, dated & stinky. Price was quoted as $ 73 but was billed $ 104. Don’t count on a decent breakfast– no fruit, nasty looking bread & tiny muffins & not much else. Keep driving!

Just got the charge on my credit card and it’s more than what I signed for when we checked in. I signed the bill for $ 86, which was already over priced for the dump, and my credit card was charged $ 99.56 for«tax». Why would you not be charged the full amount when checking in? I called and she said I should’ve gotten the receipt but one was never offered when we checked out and I couldn’t didn’t want to spend another millisecond in that place. Watch out if, by some unfortunate circumstance, you find yourself lodging here. Ask for the receipt and make sure you know what you’re being charged.

This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen in my life. I am going to write this review completely unbiased in the hopes that anyone who was in my position, avoids staying here ever. You are better off sleeping in your car. Hell you’d be better off sleeping in the parking lot on concrete with no blankets, then by entering this piece of trash. I pull up to the outside of the hotel. It looks like a slightly more run down version of the picture here on Unilocal. My plans were to check in, attend a party, and then return late night for an early departure. I figured I wouldn’t need a 4 star hotel considering I’d only spend a few hours sleeping here at most. As I open the doors to the lobby, I’m hit with the most disgustingly overpowering scent combination of cigarette smoke and curry. Curry you say? Yes, there are about 10 indian /pakistani folks eating some foul smelling food(I later would discover they are the owners), and a scent of menthol so strong I nearly passed out(no exaggeration, there are no windows). I’m disgusted at this point, but I figure wow… it’s gross, but maybe the rooms are some sanctuary away from this post apocalyptic meth lobby. I get to the counter and there is a dirty sign(it looked like a mildew stained piece of computer paper) that says to hit the buzzer to page the front desk attendant. I page the attendant not once, not twice, but three times. 5 minutes later, an obvious meth user arrives to the front desk blabbering some nonsense that wasn’t coherent. We go up in the elevator with the front desk woman who starts speaking to another child that my wife and I cannot see. «Are you a good brother,» she asks and makes another comment. My wife gives me a look I’ll never forget at that point. Now keep in mind, I was staying with my wife and our 1 year old son, so I was extremely concerned at this point in time. We decide to be optimistic and take a look at the room. We find ourselves on the second floor and open a room that again smells like pet hair, curry, and smoke to the point that you cannot breathe. There is what I perceive to be an early 1990’s tv, a shower with mildew to the point that you wouldn’t dare use it, and a far window that is not only cracked, but the screen is loose. I see bugs on the window and bugs scattered throughout the room. The bed sheets are some itchy, hairy material that probably hasn’t ever been washed. When you pull back the sheets you see hair and stains on the sheets. At this point, I’ve decided it’s time to leave. I’ve traveled to a lot of places and seen a lot of not so nice areas of the world, but this is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen in my life. I go downstairs and speak to the front desk lady(who again I have to page twice) and tell her I want a refund. She offers me another room(lol) to which I decline and again ask for a refund. I go back to the room to grab my stuff, and I can actually hear her speaking to the manager or owner«I offered him another room but he doesn’t want it. I tried that. I also tried that.» Sound travels pretty easily from the lobby to the second floor I guess. They couldn’t have paid me to stay. I honestly would have eaten the charge if they wouldn’t have refunded me. It was so gross and foul I just wanted to leave. We left, and for whatever reason the next day there was a mysterious 50 dollar charge on my account. I had to call chase to sort it out which they did. refunded me for the original transaction fortunately. To recap, this place is gross. There is a strong scent of dirty, dingy, mildew and menthol. The customer service doesn’t exist. I’ve read tons of other reviews and it sounds like the foreign owners are even worse, and possibly stricter on refunds. Everything about the room is terrible. The sheets are horrid, there is hair and bugs everywhere, the showers probably contain diseases, the décor of the room is ancient, and the technology is very dated. I would not recommend ever staying here. You could be desperate, tired, and willing to settle for anywhere, and STILL I would say you are better off risking your life driving to the next available option. Btw, there were ash trays in a non smoking room. Do yourself a favor and run… better yet never book a reservation or check in. Don’t believe, go in and find out for yourself. I’ve read online on some other review sites management claims they have renovated. They haven’t. Everything is archaic.

Terrible experience. Over charged for the rooms, the rooms were dirty, missing things and mini shampoo bottle was half used. Breakfast wasn’t much to be desired. Also the people at the desk are rude. Don’t stay here.

Hands down the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. On top of that they charged us $ 40.00! without telling us for our 2 small dogs when our reservation said they where included. Tried to call and talk to them about the charge and they hung up on me. STAYAWAYFROMTHISHOTEL!

WORSTHOTEL I’VEEVERSTAYEDIN. Got here during a heavy snow storm, took forever to check in without even being able to ask about rates. Was told the room would be $ 98. The room was dirty, there were large burnholes in the blankets and the bible was ripped apart. Hair was on the pillows and bugs on the windows. While changing, another guest came into my room using their key! No apology from the front desk. At 11:30PM they called my room waking me up and told me to come pay for my room. We had to pay $ 140 and he wouldn’t give us back any money. NEVERCOMEHERE. EVER. EVENDURING A SNOWSTORM.

This was by far the most filthy and disgusting hotel I have ever encountered. Old soap and hair in the sink, hair in the bed, room stunk like old cigarettes and mildew. Counter help was rude and unhelpful. You are better off sleeping in your car!

Located adjacent to the very busy 24-hour operating TA truck stop off of I-84, this former Comfort Inn is in dire need of rehabilitation and upgrading. There is a nearby restaurant, Burger King and Dunking Donuts in the parking lot, convenient for both truckers and motel guests, but otherwise you are isolated without options in very rural Connecticut. We were there working for a local municipalities in Stafford Springs and South Windsor, so this was their recommendation as a place to stay. Our feedback encouraged them to look at B&Bs for future guests to stay. The rooms are sparse, very basic and simply run-down. The shower head would only operate on the three powerful center holes, so watch out for tender body parts. When adjusting the shower head to the spray it just dribbled water, being so clogged up. Mildew outlines the shower curtain area, well accenting the white caulk. This theme is repeated along the bathroom baseboards. At one point the light in the shower burned out and although it was replaced that day after informing the front desk they did not clean the mold or black stuff on the light cover. On the plus side there is internet connection which worked very well, but the sign-in and password are changed every Monday, so best check at the desk. Breakfast is served daily, consisting of one cereal, a box of Dunking Donuts, coffee and, sometimes hard boiled eggs, along with coffee. They do keep coffee going and the desk manager put on a fresh pot at 4am as we were checking out. That was very nice. The operators are of Asian Indian or Pakistani origin and you have to be very clear in speaking to them to be understood. When I made my reservation by phone it took a long time speaking very slowly, clearly and with many repeats. But they do try, are nice enough people but the facility pretty much sucks and their responsiveness leaves much to question. I carry my own alarm clock but my friend never did get them to provide a wake-up call, so I would call him each morning to get him up. So don’t count on the front desk for wake-ups. Four nights was enough and it is worth another 10 miles of driving rather than staying here.
