This. Is. Gross. So bad. Dead roaches and beetles everywhere, not to mention the bedroom. Yes, in the room. Gross. Toilet paper was halfway out and hanging near the floor when we got in, and there were old beverages in the fridge, making us feel like we were intruding on someone else’s stay. We started getting super warm and stuffy at around 1130 pm and tried to use the AC unit to find it didn’t work. Called the front and the woman who answered said«I don’t know why they put you in that room. The AC doesn’t work.» … So we had to move rooms at midnight without any apology whatsoever. This room is mildly better. Smells less musty at least and I feel comfortable taking off my shoes.

Ugh, gross. If there was a ‘zero star’ option, that would be my rating. Since I have to choose ‘one star,’ the price gets a star for being one of the cheaper places on the lake. But it’s not even worth it. Bed: filthy. The only thing not on that mattress was me. Bathroom: disgusting. Tub looked like someone shaved their legs and forgot to rinse the hair out. Toilet and sink: have y’all ever heard of Lysol? Safety: no smoke alarm. Customer service: terrible. Hillbilly woman at the front desk was completely useless unless discussing Candy Crush. Said ‘it’s a liability if [they] help with hailing a taxi service.’ What if I died of smoke inhalation in my sleep? Would they be liable for not making sure there was a properly functioning alarm system present? Maybe they appeal more to a ‘too-inebriated-to-give-a-shit’ customer, but take a little pride in your establishment, man. I left almost an hour after checking in, in desperate need of a flea dip. I will not be returning to this place, nor would I recommend it to anyone with an option.

I ended up here through a priceline bid so I wouldn’t normally complain… but this was not a 3*(like they advertised), the beds were rock hard, and there was construction noise from the lobby until 10:30PM. Yes. Until 10:30PM I could hear workers chipping away existing tile for the lobby renovation. The lobby is open to the 1st and 2nd floor hallway. I called the lobby around 6 to ask when the workers planned to quit. There was no apology or offer to move me to a room higher up. The parking lot was pretty empty so I doubt they were fully booked. The hotel is clean and it won’t always be under construction, but I was put off by the lack of concern for guest comfort.

We picked this hotel for an overnight stay as we were in the area for a wedding, and didn’t want to drive from Austin, do the wedding, then drive back in the same night. This was also the closest hotel to the wedding. Anyways, it was a decent hotel. It was kind of hard to get to as while the address places it on I-45, there’s no direct entrance from the freeway. You have to get on the onramp like you’re going on the freeway south then directly turn onto a road, then further down take a left. You can alternatively navigate through the parking lots of the gas station and restaurants there which are all connected. Check in time was 3 pm, though we were there a little early but they let us check in. The room was perfect for just an overnight stay. Beds were pretty comfortable, though the tub/shower was VERY narrow, I had to stand in sideways to take a shower(even with the curved shower rod). We were also glad that the continental breakfast(which runs from 6am to 9am) had coffee as our coffeemaker was broken. And we had to find a suitable outlet to plug in our phones to charge as some of them were loose. The room also came with a microwave and a fridge, neither of which we used as we only slept at the hotel, but it was kind of comical seeing one of the old-fashioned dial microwaves there. Overall, it was a pretty decent hotel for an overnight stay, and if I was in the area again I would consider staying there.
