Pretty standard Japanese fare. I like the décor, muted tones of beige. Service is good but beware the waiter is the host/cashier, so it’s good on a weekday. $ 23 for bento boxes filled with the usual bento stuff. Reliable but not spectacular. I had enough for lunch next day.

I had always passed by Sushi Yume on my way to H-Mart. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out after work. The décor of the restaurant is very minimalist and there was hardly anyone there. I ordered the Firemen and Volcano from the special rolls; I was very impressed with the quality of sushi. After eating there twice, I decided to take my family out for dinner. They loved it! Again, I ordered the Firemen and Volcano rolls. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly.

They close in the middle of the day, which I know a lot of sushi places do, but for people like me who have a later lunch this is kind of annoying and not convenient. They close down at 3 and I came in at 2:40 and they told me they couldn’t take my order cause they were closing. The food is good, the décor is nice, but the host couldn’t answer any of my question about the menu.

I live very close to this place, i am sushi-holic and always looking for mid-end to high end sushi place. I have been to this rest couple of times last year, good news is sushi/sashimi is getting better And better. Love to visit again. Just one thing to upgrade is, they gotta use better wasabi.

My friend and I were craving Japanese/sushi on a Thursday night and decided to try this place on a whim. Upon entering, we were greeted by the host and seated promptly. The first thing we noticed was how empty the restaurant was(only 2 other tables of people) for a Thursday night, and this kind of threw us off at first. The décor looks great — it’s minimalist, modern, and clean. I honestly think, though, that for what it was, this restaurant is overpriced. We ordered shrimp shumai, some type of shrimp tempura, eel & avocado roll, and a special roll called«American.» The shrimp shumai is so obviously the frozen shumai you can buy right next door at H-Mart. It tasted like it was just heated up in the microwave. The shrimp tempura appetizer wasn’t crunchy at all, and the batter easily separated from the overcooked shrimp. I think the sushi rolls are overpriced, and there was too much sauce on the rolls, overpowering the taste. My friend and I were wishing we went to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant instead at the end since we spent more money here than we would have at a sushi buffet for the same quality food. The one thing we did like a lot was the merlot they had. Similar to what a previous reviewer said, I can see other people enjoying this restaurant and what it has to offer. I personally wouldn’t come back here again as there are a lot of other Japanese places to try in the area.

Upon walking in, the atmosphere feels very high class — reminiscent of an upscale NYC restaurant. The menu offers a great selection of sashimi and rolls. Service was more than hospitable, making it an overall great dining experience. I highly recommend.

The biggest mystery about this terrific restaurant is why it does not attract a larger crowd. We’ve dined here several times and each time have found the food fresh and wonderfully prepared. The sushi is delicious. The hamachi Kama just amazing as was the tuna tartare. Just a terrific meal.

Positanos and Happy Garden as my goto pizza/pasta and Chinese place for 20+ years, owner/chef Willie bringing his two decades of Japanese fine dining(think Buddha bar and Nobu 57) to the block makes me very very happy. I enjoyed everything about this place last night. Chilean sea bass dish was spot on and his tuna tartare interpretation was amazing. If you are a fan of sake, you won’t find better selection outside NYC. Prices were reasonable too. Ask for daily special and chef recommendations. You will go home very satisfied and drunk.

Really unimpressive. Came here for lunch with my boyfriend today. There are good pros. The restaurant itself was very nice. Not too big and not too small. Really nice décor. Very tranquil and a nice layout. I had the lunch special. For $ 13 i had three rolls and a choice of a soup or salad. For a lot of other lunch specials you get a lot more bang for your buck. You can get soup, salad, and ice cream. The two stars comes from the meal itself. There was nothing great about this sushi. Too much rice for my taste(filling to rice ratio is important to me). Each roll was also very large which is good; however they were too big to fit in one bite. The taste itself was fishy to me. Big turn off. I go to a lot of sushi places and this meal was below average. I had the spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll and salmon avocado. The salmon avocado was the best one. Despite the two stars, i would come here again if I had to. It was a very nice place and nice staff. I know i would get plain salmon avocado or just plain avocado. Just a little below average for me

Alright, so on my last day of Christmas vacation this year, we decided to finally try this place because it was fairly new, and we wanted to see if our beloved K’s Sushi Plus was still delicious. I got a shrimp tempura roll and California roll, and it was just kind of meh. I guess the only way I can say it is that K’s Sushi Plus had sushi with very colorful flavor; if I had to choose a color for the flavor of the sushi at Yume, it would be gray. It was just kind of bland. Rest in peace, K’s Sushi Plus. ???-2015. You had awesome sushi.

The waitresses do not speak English well. She wasn’t sure if they served saki, wine etc. I guess after speaking with sushi chef or owner, she said they have hot and cold saki. I asked what kind of saki??? I ended up going to the back and picking out what I wanted. Good saki options. Food was excellent. I would of gave 5 stars but due to service, they get 4.

Came here for lunch on Sunday with two of my girlfriends. We got the udon, red dragon roll, tempura dinner, and rainbow roll. The ratio of sushi to rice was perfect on the rolls and the sushi was fresh. The tempura was crisp and had just the right amount of batter. I highly recommend the tempura– at least as an appetizer, if not the dinner! Overall we left full and happy ^^

Now this is a story all about how K’s Sushi was flip-turned upside-down, and so I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there, I’ll tell you how this place is my worst nightmare. Nooooortheast in New York, born & raised, rating food is how I spent most of my days, eating out, cooked or raw, I ate all, but not one favorite restaurant I hadn’t called, but a couple of guys, they were making some good– food that was popular in my neighbor hood. I had one little bite, and loud enough to hear, I said, «If I had to eat food at one place, it’d be here.» I ate and ate there day after day, I thought they’d eventually just tell me, «Go away!» I would go there so fast, I’d get a ticket, but some guys thought this place was so sick, it closed its doors for, like, 5 months, I knew it closed down, ’cause I had a hunch. It finally reopened, and to my dismay, it was Yume Sushi?! I cried away. I would say more, but the story ends there, the story of the origin of my worst nightmare.

This was my second time at Yume and it was great! The servers are friendly and very accommodating-I have many different allergies so it was nice to know they were extra careful and asked me what I was able to have and not have. There was also live jazz music both times I was there-it was great! The food was delicious and it was a very comfortable and friendly dining experience. Will definitely come again!

Had lunch here with the guys from the office. Not the TV show but my office. I had the orange clam appetizer some vegetable rolls and the Monkey Brain. Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious. The staff are really nice and helpful. The Monkey Brains isn’t really what you think, its monkey brains. A mushroom stuffed with cream cheese. Sooo good. Give this place a try when you’re in the area.

I tried sushi yume for the first time and it was great. They had overall good food and friendly service. I tried the fluke tiradito for appetizer, crazy ninja roll, and firemen roll over the sushi bar. SOGOOD! I’ve been looking for this type of restaurant and I’m definitely coming again soon.

Sushi Plus is now Sushi Yume. I came here by way of recommendation of friend who said the sushi was pretty good. Unfortunately I didn’t find that to be so. Usually the first time in a sushi place I like to order a sushi deluxe or a sushi/sashimi combo. I did it this visit. This gives you an idea of the fish quality without all the embellishments. The fish quality is typical of what you find in most area sushi places and I personally didn’t care for it too much. If you are a fan of mediocre fish, or you don’t have a great preference I suggest you try Sushi Republic down the road — at least it is AYCE(Not that great, but at least there is a lot of it! lol) The décor was nice and I like the grey tones mixed in with the typical wood look of most sushi places opening nowadays. It is an upgrade from Sushi Plus that was here before. They were blasting some electronic dance music for some reason, but eventually changed this mellow music. Again my sushi reviews tend to be harsh. I am sure many people will like this type of place — the service was friendly enough, the décor is pleasing and the food is typical of most any other average sushi place.
