Took my daughter for breakfast and we both left very happy! Farm Fresh eggs, fresh baked baguette, VT Maple Sausage and VT Maple Bacon with local has browns were part of the All American Breakfast. Breakfast for the both of us with a coffee and chocolate milk was $ 25.00. A little steep for breakfast but all Farm Fresh so I can justify the price.

I have been coming here for the past several months for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. It can get quite packed, but the experience is worth it. The staff is so friendly and helpful – they even remembered my name pretty quickly! The food is always phenomenal, and the service is super fast whenever I order and stay in their cozy seating area. Just had brunch there today. After I placed my order and found a table, I got my food in less than 5 minutes! Keep in mind that this place is PACKED. I will definitely keep coming here. Personal favorite from the bakery section are the almond tuille!

We come here a lot. I’ve tried a lot of things. I wish I liked it here, but I like it a wee bit less each time I come. Sigh. My in-laws love this place, and some of the items – the quiche, meat pies, and a few pastries – are quiet good, but… Well, I find 83.726% of their food either too salty or occasionally, and conversely, too bland. Which explains why everyone in my husband’s family likes it so much, as they are actually sodium-based life forms from a sodium-based planet disguised as humans. I want to clarify that they are all(except one) extremely lovely sodium-based life forms and I love each and everyone of them(except the one) very much. But I’ve bought more salt in the past 6 years since my marriage than I did in the preceding 38. I digress, but I’m not exaggerating.(Not on the part about having to buy a lot of salt, in any case) But stick with quiche or the meat pie and you’ll be fine. It gets crowded on Sunday around lunch, but don’t measure your anticipated wait by the length of the line at the counter – the staff keeps it moving quickly. But before getting in line, you should check the dining room to see if there are tables available. And if the only available table is covered with a bizarrely large quantity of salt, well, then, I apologize. I really do. But the efficient staff will come buy and wipe it soon. It’s only salt, after all.

Love this bakery! They always have the pastries, pies and cakes that I am looking for — and sometimes didn’t know I wanted! Their cannoli’s are great! It’s a great little spot in Williston which used to be a hole in the wall but is more popular now than a few years ago. Love coming here to pick up Christmas and holiday gifts to give. Highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out!

Chef’s Corner’s bakery in Williston is fantastic! Their desserts are always great and luxuriously delicious. I’m a huge fan of their chocolate mousse cake and their maple crème brûlée. Their lunch prices are slightly up there(roughly $ 10 sandwiches) but the sandwiches they makes are pretty dang tasty and they also offer sandwich & soup or salad combos so I’d say it’s worth the money. My mother and I love going now and then and it always feels like a treat to go. If you’re in Williston or even near their S. Burlington location, I’d really recommend going!

Used to love this place. The prices on the website are not correct. Prices have increased. They charge $ 0.75 for soy milk for coffee. Soy milk is cheaper than ½ & ½. Vermont is usually vegan friendly and having non-dairy alternatives readily available is the norm. The pancakes were not well cooked(doughy). The pastry case is open on the back. A fly was flying around all those delicious looking pastries. The staff was very friendly.

Right along Essex Road, this café is tucked away in a discrete corner of the building. We almost missed it driving by as the signage is not the most prominent. Adjacent but slightly disconnected to the structure is an ample free parking lot. Upon walking in, we were greeted on the right by a refrigerated bakery /prepared foods case and a large, easy-to-read wall menu of salads and sandwich items. Towards the left are the restrooms, the self-serve beverage counter, and further in is the dine in area for patrons. My husband ordered the ½ sandwich and soup($ 10.50): turkey, white cheddar, lettuce, tomato with cranberry-orange mayo on a gluten free roll(+ $ 1.50) and a cup of cream of mushroom chicken. I ordered the Mesclun Salad($ 8.95) which was topped with shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, with house vinaigrette on the side, a dollop of chicken salad(+ $ 3), and a gluten free roll(+ $ 1.50). We were hungry and while the food was fresh and looked appetizing, the taste was quite bland and underwhelming. What we most disliked would have to be the hard, crumbly staleness of the gluten free rolls, as well as the dry, coarseness of the chicken salad mixture as well as the chunks of chicken in the soup. Really? Does chicken need to be way past overcooked to be considered safe to eat? If so, then it’s probably because people end up throwing it away instead of ingesting it. On a positive note… the service is good, the dining area is tidy, the restrooms are clean, and the parking is fairly easy and convenient.

I am not sure if i just went the wrong day or it is a common occurrence. It was not during rush hour and I was the only one needing to order something to go. They had a sign that said«$ 5 dollar breakfast sandwich special!» — So i went in and tried ordering that. The Guy taking my order said they didn’t have that and I needed to order off the board. I was starving so i just ordered their $ 8.50 breakfast sandwich(This should of been my first sign to walk out of the café because seriously who charges $ 8.50 dollars for a breakfast sandwich). I did it on the gluten free roll(which is an additional 1.00 which is normal). I waited over 15 min. for said breakfast sandwich — during this time — the head bakery/owner was freaking out about everything, while two people stood around doing nothing and one of the guys having a mid-life crisis in front of the customers and the owner had to calm him down. And like i said — I was the only one ordering anything. I was handed my to go container and I was down the street when I realized that i got the stupid $ 5.00 breakfast sandwich special on non-gluten free old/moldy bread and spoiled ketchup. So, I really paid $ 8.50 for a $ 1.00 egg on old/moldy bread. Like seriously? I was the only one that ordering — how do you mess that up???

When I am in the area(seasonally) I eat here everyday: either breakfast or lunch. It is my favorite restaurant because of the amazing staff, consistent quality, food flavor and atmosphere. I always feel that I am in a cool Euro Café.

We chose to eat here based on other Unilocal reviews. It was an interesting experience for brunch. This really is a serve-yourself type of place. You place your order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. You serve yourself water, coffee, etc. I guess I was not expecting that and when I go out for breakfast or brunch, I like to have a server come by regularly with hot coffee. Oh well, maybe I’m spoiled. I ordered a Mesclun Salad and added the roasted chicken. The dressing was really quite good(house vinaigrette). The chicken was delicious and very well cooked. The only thing I would say is that the portion of chicken was quite small. The bread and butter served on the side were also delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Green Mountain Veggie Quiche. I think he was expecting a slightly larger portion than what arrived, but the quiche was good. The salad on the side was a nice, healthy alternative to fried potatoes as well. It was a good brunch but definitely a little on the pricey side. A salad, quiche and two coffees ran us about $ 30. The desserts in the display case looked awesome, so I would like to return to check those out on a day when I’m not eating lunch.

Fabulous veggie sandwich and soy latte. Also really enjoyed the raspberry ice tea with real raspberry. This is one of my favorite spots in town.

They close at 4 pm. Serve food til 3 pm. Why, at 230 pm are they placing the chairs on the tops of the tables as if they were closing down?! They even asked a couple to move to a different area because they wanted to put those chairs on the tables to close up(again, at 230 pm). It’s so rude. My food was good but I won’t go back. Who wants to be eating when they are packing up/closing down a full hour and a half before they are supposed to!!! It’s like they were kicking us out.

Favorite brunch place in the area!!! Consistently good with amazing salmon benedict and delicious baked goods. Prices are comparable to other breakfast places. They also have great fancy-ish prepared foods — the kind that you would find at an upscale grocery market. Best of all, in the year and a half I have been coming here, never a wait for weekend brunch!!! Why wait an hour and a half at a Burlington spot when you can be seated right away in their spacious dining room or patio? No clue!

Management is awesome and all the workers are so courteous! I just wanted to hug each of them. That nice. Food tastes great and from what I’ve seen, their pies are also really popular. Didn’t get a chance to this time but I think I’ll also pick a few stuff up from their bakery.

Love this place for a great breakfast or lunch. Recently ordered their pre cooked Thanksgiving meals, they were amazing. I’d stick to their savory ideas. Kid friendly and a nice casual fresh meal.

In general I love this place and come often for a brunch made of real food. 3 stars are because I cannot for the life of me get an egg cooked the way I ask for it. I ask for medium-hard and time after time it comes out completely runny, including the whites. If I send it back and re-specify that I’m not looking for a completely hard egg but AM looking for there to be no runny white part, it comes back hard as a rock all the way through the yellow. I know eggs are tricky, but this seems like a real basic for a brunch place. I wish they would focus some attention on standardizing times for cooking eggs to order. It has happened so many times that I’m beginning to seek other brunch spots, though this one is more convenient and has always been a fave. Huge fan of the roasted Brussels sprouts, p.s.

Lunch out with my mom after dropping my SO off at the airport to catch the bus to Boston! We didn’t know what to have, as we drove around talking, I suggested Chef’s corner, I have heard good things of it from Unilocal and word of mouth so it was definitely worth a visit. We missed the place first and second time when trying to find it(silly me, I didn’t turn on the GPS on my phone!) It is in the same building as the Lenny’s, they share a parking lot! We walked into the bakery and immediately are wowed by how delicious the baked goods looked. Oh my, we were definitely going to bring some treats home to the rest of the family! As for the food! I got this stuffed pocket that had bacon and cheddar cheese. My mom got the quiche. I was not impressed with my pocket, it had mushrooms(I don’t remember it saying that it did on the board, I forgot to check on the way out!) and minimal amounts of cheese while the bacon lacked substance and flavor. The salad that came with it was not of interest for me, I’m more of a ranch type of gal. My mom loved her quiche tho! Dessert was a shared little cupcake sized strawberry cheesecake with a little raspberry drizzled on the plate. The edges were meh, kind of rubbery with a slightly odd taste. It was still good tho. Now for the winner: A strawberry almond scone. Oh my goodness, it was the best thing I think I’ve had the pleasure of eating in who knows how long. I wish I had gotten two of them. Definitely worth a visit, give it a try and maybe you’d find something«oh my goodness» good!

If we lived here, I would come to Chef’s Corner all the time. Full pot of tea for you or to share, multitude of pastries, fresh brunch options and great prices. Oh and the service is excellent also. People smile at one another, take their time, enjoy their meal and leave a generous tip. And if you are a loyal customer, they throw large self catered party to celebrate their wholesome familial staff and neighborhood frequenters. Their food is fresh, the portions are generous and I always end up taking something home. Oh and did I mention– they make their own chocolate pieces for holidays?
