Simply a great experience. So I was passing by Lenny’s to get some coffee, and realized that a) I’m new to Vermont, b) I have no winter boots, and c) I was walking by a shoe and apparel store. I checked it out on Unilocal while drinking my coffee, and saw a few negative reviews focused on customer service. I also saw that the store manager had responded to each, and noted that the reviewers were located in CA. Those two negatives weren’t enough to keep me out, so in I plunged. The store was busy, it being a Sunday afternoon in the winter. Still, I was approached within 45 seconds to see if I needed help finding anything. The guy asked questions about how I would use the boots, explained how boot ratings work, and brought me some options. 15 minutes later I was out of there with my new boots. Side note: The reason I remained bootless into a Vermont January was the utterly lacking selection and stock levels at EMS. I’ll be coming back to Lenny’s to outfit my kid.

While I enjoy supporting local businesses and think they have a great selection, unfortunately customer service has been beyond poor on all of my visits and I will not be returning

They offer a wonderful range of great products. However, their staff has no and terrible customer service. Waited for over a half hour to get help getting shoes… no one came to help. Checked out, and the sales clerk never smiled or even greeted us. There were more staff in the store than customers. Very disappointed :(

I would NOT suggest ordering from this store online or through Amazon. #1, they send the wrong items, while looking at my order confirmation, I ordered something completely different than what I got, unless they think brown is purple. #2 going through Amazon is a night mare! While the manufacturer actually sent the item from their warehouse, I don’t even understand why Lenny’s Shoes is involved. I had to talk to 3 different vendors, and no kidding about 15 different people just to get on the right track. And finally the woman who handles the customer online orders through Amazon is completely rude and talked over me most of the time. It’s not my fault Lenny’s Shoes uses a faulty system, sends the wrong products and expects the customer to take much of their time trying to fix Lenny’s Shoe’s mistakes. I would recommend watching out for this brand and staying as far away from it as possible.

I LOVE this store! The staff has always been really friendly and helpful. They’ve answered my many questions and given me information about sales and deals on their clothes because their shoes and clothes, while AWESOME, are pretty expensive for someone in their early/mid-20s. However, their products are top notch and the quality is well worth the price.

We made our seasonal trip to Lenny’s today for new shoes for the kids. This is the kind of shoe store that I remember going to as a child. They have a really varied selection of practical outdoor shoes – Keens, Merrells, Tiva, and so much more. I like that they have most shoes out on the sales floor as I always hate sending sales people back and forth when trying shoes on little kids. I only have to do this when buying sneakers. They have a great selection for young children. The prices are what you would expect of higher quality shoes. The service is good. They are well staffed and friendly. Maneuvering a double stroller in the store is a little dicey. But it is manageable which is important when shopping with two small children. Plus it makes it much easier to try the shoes on the kids.
