The short of it– I am extremely happy about my experience with this store. They did an excellent job on my repair and got my equipment shipped back to California on time before a big photo shoot I had. I highly recommend them! The long of it– I had a lot of broken gear from the wonderful combination of a Pocket Wizard TT5 and the Canon 580exii. Avoid it if you can, there are just way too many issues, try the 430exii. Pocket Wizard trusts these guys to do the repairs to the flash and provides a discount on the repairs, which is awesome of them. So when I went to deal with LeZot, they were always extremely helpful. Every question I needed answered, was answered. I had a short timeline before I needed them returned and they made a special trip to the post office to get my flashes back to me on time. When I received my three flashes back I was shocked at the care they took in repackaging them. When I shipped them, I just put them in their sleeves, added some peanuts to the box and boom, done. THEY wrapped each flash in plastic and sealed it with tape, then put them in their sleeves then wrapped each of them in a layer of bubble wrap, THEN added the peanuts. It almost made me feel bad about my packing job. If they took this amount of care in packaging them for shipping, I can assume they took this type of care during the repairs. Speaking of the repairs, they are super clean. My other job that pays the majority of the bills is as a structural steel/weld inspector. Not be a whatever about it, but i inspected the crap out of these before I sent them and I cannot tell they were opened up and worked on. The other repair they did was to add a modification to the flash to reduce the noise coming from them so that they work better with the Pocket Wizards. Low and behold, it works very well. When you have a stock flash and a TT5, you can only get about 35ft away and the flash will stop functioning. With the plastic shields that pocket wizard makes, that distance increases to about 400ft. When I went to test the mod, I got about 15ft short of that and they stopped firing. I can chalk that up to wind or dust in the air or something. The mod was very effective and I consider that money well spent! In conclusion. I had a very awesome experience with this company and I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I lived closer to them instead of living across the entire country, but you better believe that when I need a repair I am going to check with these guys first!
