I am so angry that this place closed. This was a real gem.

This is another place I like to hit up when I’m out in the suburbs. They have really good burgers, and usually their specials are awesome. I love all the different sauces they have to dress up their sandwiches, too! I love the Mother Nature’s Treat sandwich the most. My family has had them cater a few parties, too and they did an amazing job — a fajita bar set up in our house that I could have eaten for the rest of my life. They also have a lot of seating, and an ice cream counter — yum!

Great spot for brunch on Sundays… You have to try the bananas foster french toast and the loaded potatoes! Family-friendly, reasonably priced, and you pay at the counter so no splitting check issues. We tend to go for breakfast more than lunch, but the FREE homemade chips are an added bonus at any time. I have not had a bad meal here. PLEASENOTETHISLOCATIONCLOSED. This place has been in business for a little over 10 years, and in that time I’ve gotten to sample the menu. For the most part the sandwiches kind of all taste pretty much the same, kind of like on a cruise ship. However there are a couple of entrées that stand out. The first and consequently my favorite, the chicken-salad quesadilla. Amazing! This one will leave you craving for more, in fact if it weren’t for this I probably wouldn’t frequent Sandwich factory as much as I do. My second favorite sandwich is «The Boss»(Roast Beef, mushrooms, onions and pepers sautéed and topped with mozerella all on a French roll). I don’t particularly like mushrooms, but this is one of those combinations where mushrooms really go well with the rest of the ingredients. Oh and the roast beef is perfect, not soaking in au jus but not dry as a bone.

Love this place, they are also very good to my work. I work in a nonprofit and they have always given us a discount on ordering for parties. I have to say hands down the best homemade chips ever. The grilled cheese is so good you can almost feel your heart stopping. I know they deliver catering, and cheap.

This place is good but not great. Their sandwiches are pretty standard, but much better than a 1-star option like subway or something. They do home-make their chips which is a plus. They used to have free chips, but recently took them away and put up a sign that said«sorry, we’re unable to offer free samples for the time being.» Feels like I’m back in grade school where someone else ruined a good thing for everyone. Bring back the chips!

I have been coming here for about 6 years or so and had never been disappointed, until now. Upon chatting with the cashier I found out that the place has been sold and is now owned by a former employee of one of the previous owner’s other restaurants. As I suspected, Sandwich Factory was formerly owned by the same owner of Erik’s Deli in Oak Park. I guess«deli» is too ethnic of a word for the white suburbanites to handle, so Sandwich Factory it is. At any rate, the fact that the restaurant changed hands is a bad sign right off the bat. We were also warned that there would be none of the signature crispy chips offered, as the potatoes were«bad» and the chips were coming out soft and greasy, but the fries were ok. We opted for the fries with our sandwiches. Although our sandwiches were fine, the fries were limp noodles that were soggy with grease. Sounds more like a cooking problem rather than a potato problem. I’d hate to have to give up on this place after one experience, so I’ll give it one more chance. I know the economy is lagging, but this place was totally dead on a Saturday night. I’m not ready to give up Sandwich Factory just yet, but the red flags are there. I hope they can turn things around soon.

They have quite a large menu. Omelets only on Sat and Sunday. RUDE! I had the factory stack. 3 pieces of wheat bread with beef and munster cheese. It was pretty tasty. The fries were some fresh cut burnt numbers. They have a dish pan with home chips in it. They again were burnt, but chewy. How do you do that. I shouldn’t have had any because I saw a bunch of people just grabbing them with their hands. That is what the serving fork and the plates are for. And why do they offer them as an option, if they are going to give them away for free? My friend had the ham melt. They must have a piro in the kitchen, because the toast was black on one side. I had to laugh because I was the one who wanted to come here. It was a bit pricey for what you got. The Unilocal sticker was on the door. But I won’t be back.

I have to agree with the other reviewers so far. Extensive menu, friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, and pretty decent food. I had a pretty amazing bowl of chili here, actually I had a cup and wished I had ordered the bowl. didn’t want it to end. Next time! Also, they serve breakfast items until 3pm, I think. I love this because I never get out of bed early enough for breakfast so I miss out on the good stuff. This way I get to sleep in and have an omelet! Besides that, this is nowhere near my apartment, just close to work… I can barely make it to work on time let alone get to that part of town early enough to stop here for breakfast! I cant quite give it five stars like everyone else but this joint is pretty damn good.

I’ll just add to the list of 5 star reviews. They are all right. I have never had anything bad here. My absolute favorite is the club croissant. All the food always tastes really fresh and I’m pretty sure you can order anything and be satisfied. This place has an old school feel to it. Rosie the Riveter is one of their mascots. The chips are fantastic, you have to get the loaded ones with cheese and bacon served with sour cream and chives. Do It!

This place is really great. I love stopping in here for a quick sandwich, but usually more times than not I get their home made chicken fingers and fresh cut fries. Yum! Also, they have great homemade potato chips too! The fajitas are really good too. Oh, and when you order chicken fingers or a sandwich, you get your choice of fruit, chips or french fries! Check it out!
