This is the main rink where I ice skated growing up. It was five minutes away from home and an easy commute. The ice rink was always a pretty good temperature, and they had ice time for serious skaters at convenient hours, making it easy for me to come practice on near-empty ice. During summer sessions, though, the rink could get ridiculously crowded. I have many memories of renting lockers here, playing cards between sessions with other rink rats, and being petrified of Mrs. Basil at the front desk. This ice rink wasn’t the best as I became a higher-level, more serious skater, mostly because most of the skaters were younger and at a lower level, meaning I’d crash into them trying to jump at top speed. I think this is a good rink for recreational, beginner, and possibly intermediate level skaters, but serious competitive skaters might find a better environment at other places on the North Shore.

I used to ice skate here when I was younger and it’s always a fun time. They have 2 ice rinks and you can take lessons or have a private party. Back in 5th grade, we used to go there for Friday Night Skating and hold hands with boys… hehehehe. They have an awesome concession stand and they have the BEST food! Love the nachos and churros. Ok I haven’t been here since junior high but I know it still exists. I know Centennial has really expanded throughout the years so I am not sure what else is there now. But it’s a good place to bring kids to.
