I have been here before, but this time I brought my new doggie with me so she could have an ice cream treat with me. The person who waited on us was obviously new, but she didn’t care what she did or what I said. First thing I told her was to give me a doggie sundae and then I ordered a small sundae for myself. She gives me mine first with no whip cream or cherry looks at me and says «Have a nice day». I’m like where is the whip cream and cherry? And where is the doggie sundae? It took her forever to make 2 small sundaes, ring up the order and give me my punch card. Normally service is excellent, but today it wasn’t so great.

For an ice-​cream place operating during the off season, the service and product was pretty darn great. Most of the soft serve places in town have come and gone in about a two year range. Bruster’s has been operating for about eight years, so they are doing something right in the ice cream business.

Love, love, love Bruster’s. It’s close to home, and you can go to their website, check off your favorite flavors and they will e-​mail you when one of your favorites is made. My favorite flavor is New York cheesecake, and I think it must be a favorite of lots of people because a lot of times it’s on the menu but they’re sold out. So now I know when they have made it fresh and it’s always been available since.
