Ordered Garlic Chicken and Kung Pao chicken extra spicy for takeout, got home and was not disappointed! Flavored were great, and when my husband went in to pick it up, he said the guy told him they deliver for next time. Totally sold on this place!

I have been ordering from firebowl for about 2 years now at least 1x every 2 weeks. The food was always great, except lately the last few times I have ate there it’s has been very different. Now there egg rolls are nothing but cabbage or lettuce rolled up with nothing else inside. Also when you order something like chicken and broccoli or pepper steak it’s mostly just veggies. There has been a complete turn around of the quality of the food here. Not sure why but when I want Chinese food now we drive to the other side of town to get something better. I used to love the food here but they are seriously lacking in the quantity and quality. After the first time it was poor I thought maybe it was just a bad night and tried it again 3 more times and now it’s consecutively bad. It’s a shame because they used to have the best Chinese in town.

Great fresh food! Ordered the shrimp and broccoli and it was great! Mom had the house fried rice spicy which was also excellent. Egg rolls were crispy, prices were affordable, and it didn’t take long. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the Wilmington area

This used to be my go to for Chinese food in Wilmington. I just called to place an order for delivery and was put on hold for a while(after it rang for a while) and then told that the delivery minimum was $ 20. I’m sorry, but that just seems a little high for Chinese food. Will be sticking to China One for now one(they don’t deliver, but their food is SO much better) Don’t waste your time at Firebowl.

My husband and I have eaten the same take out for years thought we would try something new. The food was quick and tons of it for under $ 20. The taste was good as well, the food was not greasy it was light and refreshing. The food comes in reheatable packages which i love, i can just take the leftovers and put them right in the fridge without any mess! The only thing I will say that needs improvement would be the cream cheese wantons, the ones we ordered barely had any cheese. We will order from here again.

The food is just okay but you will almost always get a busy signal. Note to owners: get 2 lines or don’t allow you employees to utilize your phone lines while at work. I mean seriously u called for 20 mins straight with a busy tone and finally decided NOT to order from this place!

Very small dining area, so better suited for takeout or delivery. Chicken in Garlic Sauce and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce were both very fresh and flavorful. Great value for the money too.

I think these are nice, clean people but the food was not good. I have eaten Chinese food all over the world and this just wasn’t good nor did it taste fresh. I really hate to give a bad review but I also hate to see people spend hard earned money on something that just doesn’t measure up. I ate a little of each thing and threw the rest in the trash. I hope they can change some of their recipes and make it work!

I’ve only been in Wilmington for 7 months, and this is the only Chinese take out I’ve tried, and I have no reason to change places. Food is delicious, nice big portions, and nice environment. My only 2 complaints are minor, but worth noting. They aren’t the friendliest people in the world, but not going out of their way to be rude. Just don’t expect a high five on your way out. And my «biggest» complaint is that there is a $ 10 minimum charge for delivery, which kinda sucks if you’re only ordering for yourself. But delivery is decently fast, food is delicious and saucey, and the prices are reasonable. You NEED to try Fire Bowl!

General Tsaos Chicken and Singapore Noodles are good here. This is the best Chinese take out in town in my opinion.

Delivery was screwed up. An hour and 15 minutes went by; then called again. The person who answered paused and then said they just left with it. Another 20 minutes and I gave up, called and cancelled the order. The lady didn’t respond, so I called back and they wouldn’t pickup. Then 15 minutes later it arrived. I refused it, having already cooked my dinner. If they had just called to keep me informed, it would’ve been ok. But I didn’t feel like the lady who answered the phone could give a crap.

Not a bad experience. The sauce, meat, and overall quality was very good. Fast, Fresh, and well prepared. My wife really enjoyed the«Sweet and Sour Chicken.» I had the«Orange Chicken» and I’m a hard critic on the dish but I really cant complain too much about it, so I’ll keep it short and say I’ve had better but i have defiantly had way way worse!

Had one bad experience here that I’m going to share below, but I’m still a fan. My wife and I have been coming to Fire Bowl since we started visiting Wilmington, and have always made a point to eat here at least once or twice every visit. I’m not sure where to begin first, so I’ll begin by saying that(for the most part) their service is good, quick, and friendly. I have had their Sesame Chicken, Shrimp Lo-Mein, Egg Rolls, [steamed] dumplings, and pork fried rice; all of these I found to be impressive, not an easy feat when you’ve eaten Chinese all over Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and NC. On June 11th, 2013, we ordered our meals and went back to our hotel room. As mentioned before, everything was quite tasty, but my wife had discovered that most of the the beef in her Szechuan Beef to be undercooked and unsafe to eat. A big disappointment after a long day out and working up a big hunger. She called the restaurant and explained the situation to the young lady that had taken our order. She left a note for the opening manger that we would like a refund for the meal(we were only in town for three days and wanted to sample more local eats, rather than eat there a third time during our short visit) and that we would be returning in the morning to pick it up. We pulled up to the restaurant and my wife went in to get the refund, but the manager thought it fruitful to argue her down that there was no «proof» of anything, despite reading off of the note that the cashier/operator had left for him the night before. She explained that we make it a point to visit his restaurant whenever we’re in Wilmington, and have never had a bad service experience or bad experience with the food except for her undercooked Szechuan Beef the night before. He then, clearly angered, attempted to give her back $ 7. The meal was $ 7.86, so she had to explain and demand the FULL refund for the meal. After rudely giving her the $ 7.86 back, his finisher was a snidey«have a nice day». Overall great food except for our bad experience with an undercooked meal and a manager who makes distrust of his his clientele no big secret. My personal favorite is the Shrimp Lo-Mein lunch special. The noodles are cooked just right, the right thickness, and seasoned perfectly. They have the best fried rice I’ve had outside of Chicago, and the portion sizes are good for the price. Make sure to order up a side of steamed dumplings while you’re there, you won’t regret it. Just make sure your beef is fully cooked and hope you don’t have to discuss any«unfinished» business with the manager.

I was a huge fan until the last few weeks. I bought there food about once a week, but I don’t know if there is new management or cooks but the last 3 times my food has been over cooked and I ended up throwing it out. Like I said, loved them until recently. Sad it has not been the best anymore. but still better than most around.(I always get the sweet and sour chicken) and now its overcooked and very dry. :-(

It’s the best Chinese food we have had in Wilmington(and we tried a lot). We’re from the SF Bay Area and used to some really good Chinese food and it was tough to find on this coast. I’ve learned to not get lemon/orange chicken anywhere — the chicken just isn’t fried well. BUT if you’re looking for some awesome General Tso’s or Kung-pao chicken or beef this is a great place to find it. Also, their combination lo mein is always good for us. it’s the only place we’ll eat Chinese food in Wilmington.

Went in for Chinese food. We didn’t have huge expectations but I at least wanted your average«Chinese» food that you can get anywhere. We were majorly dissappointed when we got our food. Everything was very bland. Chicken lo mein, fried rice, and the Singapore noodles(thin rice noodles that seemed to just be seasoned with curry powder). Even the egg roll which was beautifully crispy, was tasteless. Should’ve just gone with my instinct and gone to Indochine.
