So I noticed that the staff was kind of rude as well but they have cleaned house! I love all their people and Tonya is just the best at handling any issues I’ve ever had! Great place to stay when you are in town!

The bathroom was covered in mildew and reeked. The people at the front desk were rude. Every time someone closed the door in the adjacent room it shook my room. There were also a bunch of biting ants in my bed. For what you get this hotel is incredibly overpriced.

We traveled to Wilmington a few weekends ago to drop our daughter at camp. When we arrived, the desk attendant was sitting in the dining area, and didn’t seem too thrilled to get up and check us in. But she warmed up fairly quickly and ended the interaction nicely. But the importance of a warm and friendly greeting can’t be over-emphasized! We went to our room and it was nice. Clean. Everything you would expect for this level hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Everything worked properly, and it had all the amenities listed on the website. The free breakfast was below average in it’s offerings. It was served from 6am-10am and I went at about 7:45 am. I saw someone eating a banana, but when I asked the dining attendant if they had more, she checked and said they were all gone. It was only 7:45am. I had a yogurt, bagel and coffee and they were all fine. My husband had the eggs and biscuits and said they were barely edible. The kids had cereal. We ended up eating again only a few hours later because we didn’t eat much there. I definitely didn’t feel that the ‘free breakfast’ was an added value at this hotel. We went to the pool after breakfast. Both the pool and the hot tub had a very odd smell. The water was not balanced properly and it was very off-putting, to be polite. We decided to abandon our swimming plans and headed to the room to pack up. To the credit of the hotel, as we were leaving we did see someone with the hotel checking the water, so they were aware of the issue and working to correct it. I like the Holiday Inn brand and usually look for one of their hotels first. However, I would avoid this particular hotel in the future.

As a platinum priority club member I’m disappointed in my stay here. Customer service is lacking, on the 3rd floor it takes almost 10 minutes to receive hot water, and also found stained sheets on one of the beds in my room. The breakfast bar was also bare, and limited in options
