Losing faith in what was once a great restaurant. Not sure what has happened but all of the meats are pre cooked and only warmed by steaming the burrito. Not sure how they can serve it below 170*. Im not visiting like I used to.

This is a fast food place with a beer option.
I have eaten at the uptown location and at this one. I am not a huge fan of standing at a counter to place an order and making choices down the line, but that’s what you do here. At least the staff is patient and polite.
At the uptown location, the nachos were great. Cheesy like I like them. At this store, I got the veggie quesadilla. It came with seasoned chips. I also ordered a small guacamole. The quesadilla was nice, and I read where they use local produce. The guacamole was a bit lackluster.
The music was a little too loud. A blend of 1970’s classic rock, which I would have never expected.
They feature a salsa bar with three or four different types of salsa. I tried the hot salsa. Good flavor, but it wasn’t hot.
What I want to know is if they offer beer, why don’t they have a few wine choices? Missing out on some revenue there, guys.

If you are looking for an affordable, yet fresh & yummy option, take a ride to Islands! Islands is ten times better than Chipotle, and it is closer, tastes so much better, and is cheaper. They give you free chips and they even have a salsa bar!

I enjoy this place. Cheap $ 1 tacos after 5 pm daily. White rice has no flavor. Opt for yellow.

This place was pretty gross. I ordered a fish taco in which I watched the employe take fish wrapped in foil from the fridge then threw it on the grill foil and all to «warm» it. It smelled so fishy I didn’t eat it. Not worth the risk — right in the trash. I also ordered a steak taco which I ate. It didn’t really taste like anything. The best part of my meal was my diet soda.. . My husband had steak tacos and said the same thing. Not impressed at all. Nothing seemed fresh. Staff seemed friendly though.

I’ve lived in Wilmington for a year and a half now, and drive past here twice a day on my commute to and from work, and just finally went this past weekend. Why did I wait soooo loonnnggg??!
The cafeteria lunch style line was unexpected when I walked in. But I was impressed with the offerings on the menu. I decided on the chicken club quesadilla and some queso for the chips — best quesadilla I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely go back, I see this being a favorite go to spot this summer.

Food is always fresh. Love the salad with chicken, black beans, and their island sauce– super yummy. Always easy to get a delicious lunch or dinner quickly and inexpensively.

Food is ok. Really, they are a Moe’s Wannabe. The drink area was not the cleanest. The part that was the icing on the cake of disappointment was being charged thirty cents for a cup to drink tap water! Really?!? It is not the money but rather the principal. Will they charge people for napkins next? I don’t plan on ever going back. I will pay the thirty cents on fuel and drive to Moe’s instead.

Always a great experience. Food is always fresh and fast and the staff is friendly. We eat there all the time. Love it. Confused about bad reviews. $ 1 tacos are insane!

I have very mixed feelings on this location. The food is typically luke warm and just mediocre. You get what you pay for and not much else. The staff is a bit quiet but they are usually nice. It’s quick and cheap.

Tuesday 12−23−14 about 1:30 PM. The food was just average, not even as good as Taco Bell. The employees were very rude and acted like it was a chore to take our order, they even rolled their eyes at the lady in front of us. Not sure why but they have this blaring loud music which makes it hard for the order taker to hear me and me to hear him. Even though there were only 3 other couples eating the place was very noisy because each couple had to scream across their table so the other people at their table could hear them over the stupid loud music. Behind us in line some people came in and walked out because of the music. When I cut into my enchiladas the aluminum foil also cut with it so I had to pick pieces of foil out of my food.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. We love this place! I mean you can’t expect $ 1.00 tacos to be fine cuisine, but I’d say they are worth at least $ 2.50. Lol. The other location is okay, I like this one better. The service is faster and the salsa is much better! Glad to have a place so close with fresh ingredients!

Have tried this place a few times– both locations. Words that have always come up; unremarkable, average, loud interior, value– but generic tastes. Many more in town (both Indy & Moes) that are better.

The islands on Racine near the college is 5 star, This one is either too new or they feel they need portion control at this Location.

Burritos were cold/​luke warm and a small piece of hard plastic was in one… I’m sure the food could have been very good if it had been warmer and I’m sure the introduction of plastic was an anomaly that could happen anywhere… just so happen to me only first trip to Islands.
On the pleasant side, the staff was very nice, atmosphere was good, and it was reasonably priced.

I couldn’t believe Island’s was opening right down the road from where I live! This is their second location after the Racine Drive location and the service and food are still top notch. I could eat Island’s fare everyday and not get tired of it. Everything is fresh, facilities are clean, prices are good, and staff are friendly. What more could you ask for?
