Kidds Chicken And Waffles

I had the chicken and it was fried fresh, juicy, had a light golden crust, and tasty. The service was fantastic, and I will be back.

Had my first chicken and waffle meal there and it was delicious! The location is out of the way, but not bad (a couple blocks from the Wilmington Police Station). If youre not from Wilmington you may question the area, but it is fine. There is no parking lot so you must park along the street. Note the following:
1) Inside seating is small and limited to about 10 seats and two tables. I have no problem sharing a table with others, but I know some folks do.
2) Menu is above your head to the left as you walk in the door. Aside from chicken and waffles they offer other breakfast foods (eggs, potatoes, grits, etc,.), chicken fingers, and dinner platters (on certain days)
3) It may take some time for you to get your meal until they get additional waffle irons and deep fryers to handle the volume. I went there at lunchtime and it took ~20 minutes for my chicken and waffles. It was worth the wait, but will plan to call ahead if I have time constraints. Not sure what it is like in the evening yet.
Will update my review after stopping by a few more times and trying different items on the menu. So far, so good! ^_^
