Quite disappointed with my last take out. There was no sushi on a Saturday evening and apparently no cooks. I ordered the same dishes I ordered multiple times before and got some random stir fries. It looked like the person cooking didn’t have the recipes for red curry and Indonesian sambal, so just sautéed the ingredients with random condiments. Very strange!

I’ve just moved to within a very close proximity to this place… I so want it to be good(because it’s close by)… But unfortunately, this being my 5th and final try I’m going to have to post a review. My lunch today was so so at best… the steamed dumplings seemed to be leftovers from last week(I sent them back and the server embarrassingly ran them away almost knowing that they were completely unacceptable)… The egg roll was burned and greasy… And the string beans with prawn in garlic sauce was cooked to death… Slimy and greasy… This is the last straw… I keep coming back hoping they can work out the kinks… but problems remain both with food and service. Plain and simple it’s really inconsistent consistently. Back to the YI Palace(or Le Shio) on Concord Pike for anything decent from a Wok or a sushi chef! I will not return here.

Here twice for lunch and both times, chose the buffet. It’s okay, not great. I’ve had buffets that have a lot more choices. What they have is good, but it’s just not that great. And certainly for $ 10.99, not a great deal. It’s bigger on the inside than it looks because they’re in a corner of the shopping plaza.

I don’t typically write scathing reviews. As someone who currently works in the food service industry, I have a certain empathy for those who are in it as well. However, this visit was absolutely inexcusable. The woman who greeted us looked as though she’d rather be dead than there. Understandable– we came at around 6:30 on a Saturday, and perhaps she had already worked for several hours. We essentially seated ourselves, and waited five minutes before we got up again to ask for water. When it was delivered, we stated that we were ready to order. She said«okay,» and disappeared. 5 minutes later, we got up again and asked another waiter to take our order. It took about one hour for all of the seven dishes we ordered to arrive. After about fifteen minutes after we ordered, we began to wonder why our Mung bean noodles appetizer had yet to arrive. Then, a waiter came in and apologetically said that they no longer had any in stock. Disappointed, we ordered another cold dish. It didn’t arrive until about 30 minutes later, after almost every other dish was delivered. Again – I’d be empathetic, if it were busy. But there were 4 or 5 other customers in the store at most. By golly, even the food was mediocre. The string beans were overly salted, and friends reported that the lo mein was excessively oily and flavorless. But for me what really put the cherry on top of this disastrous visit was the mishap with the Tofu and Soy Sauce. It’s listed under the vegetable section, but it arrived(35 minutes later, I might add), with pork mixed in. As a vegetarian, I was irked that this dish was not only listed in the wrong section of the menu, but also did not mention pork in the title name. I asked the waiter for it to be remade. He declined, saying that«the chef must make the dish as it is rung up». I don’t know if he was improvising an excuse or what, but I’ve never had such a response at the myriad other Chinese restaurants I’ve visited. Regardless, I didn’t dwell further. Why make a fuss? Overall, we paid 73 $ for mediocre food and lackadaisical service that I would not have deigned to pay 30 $ for. I’ll be passing this restaurant up next time, thank you very much.

More like Kung Fused… The service was really bad. I think there was only 1 server during a busy lunch but there was total disregard for serving our parties food in any particular order. The soup came out with sushi, a main dish. I ordered Soba noodles. and when my soup came out in what felt like about 20 minutes, they told me they were all out of Soba. So I said I’ll have the Chow Fun…10 minutes later the waitress came back and tells me that they are out of that. So i got ordered the Lo Mein, mostly bc I figured there is no way they are out of that, and they weren’t, so 20 minutes later it came out. I asked for a to go box immediately because my lunch break was just about up. When I got back to work and ate the Lo Mein, it wasn’t bad, but it kinda of tasted like burnt garlic to it. This place also will charge you a $.50 fee if you use a credit card for under $ 10. But overall, it was a waste of time eating here due to the bad service and mediocre food. I wouldn’t even trust them with takeout due to the long wait at the cashier

My last visit was disappointing. I asked for pad Thai and got a completely different dish. It was take out so I didn’t realize it until I got home. Even though they supposedly deliver during that time they didn’t have someone to come fix the situation. And whatever they have me was not good at all and I had to throw it away. They did say I could come in for a free pad Thai but doubt they will remember.

I tried the sushi, it was salmon and it had a really fishy unfresh smell, I gave it to my neighbors cat, didn’t want to risk getting sick

I come here all the time, really like the food, service has improved a great deal since they first opened. They are clearly working very hard to make this a good business. Well done!

Had the sushi and sashimi lunch special, good price. Fish was very fresh. The ginger salad was very bad — dressing was way too chunky and not the right flavor, miso soup was OK.

I always go to Happy Fortune about a quarter mile away for Chinese take out but thought I’d try Kung Fusion for a change. Bad choice. I had wonton soup, vegetable fried rice and sesame chicken…$ 27. About twice as expensive and a maybe a quarter as good as Happy Fortune. Everything was bland, had an aftertaste and didn’t seem terribly fresh. In fairness, maybe I should try something other than standard Chinese dishes before reaching a final conclusion about Kung Fusion but for now I’m sticking with Happy Fortune.

I went to Kung Fusion with 4 friends last night. There was one other table seated when we arrived &3 – 4 wait staff. It was the worst service I’ve ever received. Other than to take our order & drop off food or waiter never came to the table, not to see how everything was, not to refill drinks(which were all empty). We had to stop another employee to ask for refills. We sat for over 20 minutes after we were all done eating waiting for our check white all of the staff was in the kitchen. Another table came in while we were eating & they ended up walking out before being served because they were ignored for so long. We initially couldn’t figure out why it was so empty inside because the food isn’t bad, it became apparent that it’s the horrible service that is meriting people away.

Was there for the 3rd time, service and food seem to get worse and worse with each visit. We order 3 lunch special and all surppose to come with soup … She only gave us one and my wife and baby and I were sharing 2 little wonton between 3 people. The our food too a long time and waiter and boss lady were areguing about $ 0.50 in front of all customers. Didn’t like it going down hill

I’ve had two bad experiences here. The first time they got the order all wrong, the second time they forgot to even make my dinner. I sat for 10 minutes after they served my husband’s food before asking the waitress where my food was. We ended up leaving without dinner for me. Not enough staff. I hate watching the manager of a store berate his staff, because they can’t hire enough people.

My wife and I finally stopped by this place for dinner a few days ago. At around 4pm we were the only 2 people in the entire place. I’m not sure how it generally works but the guy working the front desk seated us, took our orders, made my soup, and my wifes sushi(I hope this guy makes a lot for doing at least 4 different peoples jobs). I did finally see a chef pop his head up in the kitchen half way thru our meal. I ordered an appetizer of wonton soup with a main dish of sesame chicken. My wife ordered a california roll and a shrimp tempura roll. The wonton soup was not the greatest I’ve ever had. They clearly make their wontons a while in advance and store them in a fridge or freezer, then when it gets ordered they toss a few in some hot broth. The actual wrap on the wonton was extremely dry even tho it was sitting in broth. My wife said her sushi was mediocre, not someplace she’d ever try it from again. My sesame chicken on the other hand was amazing! A very healthy portion for the price we paid. All in all it was a pretty average experience. I didn’t not like it, but I probably will(and have) take advantage of their take out.

Very good food and service. $ 12 for three rolls(several to choose from) and either miso soup or ginger salad is a great lunch special.

We’ve only done takeout, but the sushi rolls are the best we’ve had. I got the szechuan dumplings tonight, which were delicious! They weren’t very spicy, even though the menu had them labeled that way. Either way, they were very yummy.

My daughter and I love sushi. We go to a few places in the area and were excited to see we now have a place right around the corner. The sushi was great we ordered a ton and surprised the wait staff by clearing our plates and ordering more! We had the rainbow roll, salmon and avocado roll, philly roll, spider roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All of them were on the same par as a pricier sushi restaurant. We have been back a few times since. I grab lunch every other Saturday too since the special is so reasonable and runs til 4pm. Only con is the atmosphere… I went here for a date and it was mighty bright not very romantic… and no liquor license.

On Saturday(11⁄09), I treated my sister and her husband to dinner here, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. My sister had been here before and recommended their sushi to me, saying it was a step above Mikimoto’s in Wilmington. Now I was intrigued… Mikimoto’s became my new favorite sushi spot in Delaware, so this place must be awesome. And it is. Let me get the few downsides out of the way first. It was practically empty when we walked in(not a good sign on a Saturday night, especially when Ulysses’s Gastropub was jumping next door). Also, they seem to be having issues with obtaining a liquor license. I’m not sure what exactly goes into applying for one, but judging from what our server told us, it involves a lot of paperwork and waiting. Now on to the good stuff. Our server Jeff was super sweet and very attentive, and we made sure to tip him generously. For our meals, I ordered the Blue Ocean roll(tuna with crab served in crunchy seaweed and drizzled with a spicy sauce that I can’t pronounce, but Lord it was delicious), along with an eel roll and Philadelphia roll. My sister ordered nigiri eel, a shrimp tempura roll, and salmon nigiri. Her husband ordered General Tso’s chicken. For an appetizer, we split the Thai crab cakes. We destroyed almost everything on our plates. The crab cakes were packed with crab meat and cooked to perfection. I tried some of the General Tso’s chicken and was pleasantly surprised by its sweet and tangy flavor(normally I’m not a fan of this dish because it’s either too greasy or too spicy). All my rolls were packed with fish and tasted freshly prepared. And I really liked how our main courses were presented: the sushi came out on a wooden tray in squared-off sections. Very attractive as well as appetizing. We were too full to look at the dessert menu, but we promised Jeff we’d be back soon to try it out. And we will be back, trust me.
