Used to be a great place to go… Going down hill. Staff is not very friendly and extremely slow. You get your drinks and then wait 10 minutes for someone to take your order, while they’re all sitting around staring into space! Then when you get your food, you have to ask utensils, napkins, etc. They write your order down and still screw up it up! And please pick up your feet when you walk… You’re not 5 years old. Food is subpar, skimpy on the plating. Lacks organization and cleanliness… Needs a good scrub down! Lesson to me, should’ve gone to Jasmine’s!

Nice atmosphere but service somewhat slow. The vegetarian rolls are also extremely small — not the average size. I do like their avonut(avocado and honey roasted peanuts) roll, however — I have never seen this roll anywhere else.

Just had lunch at Le Shio as we often do. I’m hoping they were just having an off day, but the food wasn’t up to par. They are usually so consistently good. Neither entrée we ordered had much flavor. Not bad, just ok and definitely not great. The place wasn’t crowded as it usually is at lunch time.

First impressions are key, right? Just visited for the first time about a week ago on a Friday night. We had reservations, as we knew from trying to visit another time that they are super busy on weekend evenings. We walked in and waited. And waited. And waited some more. There were two people standing at the front desk answering phones and ignoring all the waiting patrons. To not even be acknowledged? Strike one. Thankfully, once we WERE acknowledged, we were seated quickly. Strike two? Waiting AGAIN for a waiter to come to the table. Strike three? Slightly above average Chinese takeout quality food with inflated prices and small portions. My BF got some rolls, which he said were decent, although very small. I had the Sesame Walnut Street entrée– tasty, but worth the price? Overall, I think we won’t return. The customer service left a bad taste in my mouth.

This restaurant is one of the best places in Wilmington to get sushi. Every type of sushi that I have had from here is absolutely amazing. The Stacy roll is my absolute FAVORITE. It is so unique and something that you really can’t find everywhere. The wonton soup is out of this world too. The service is wonderful, all of the waiters are extremely attentive. A few different waiters came to our table to make sure we had everything we needed. The only reason I didn’t give this restaurant 5 stars is because I am not a huge fan of their other menu items, excluding the ones I listed above. I have had a couple of different selections, including the chicken fried rice and one of the hibachi plates, and I wasn’t very impressed. Both plates did not have much flavor so I pretty much drenched them in soy sauce. I can’t speak about everything on the menu though, because I haven’t tried it all. But that aside, if you go to le shio, you are most likely going there to get sushi, and if you haven’t yet, you absolutely must!

Went for lunch and was throughly impressed. The food and veggies were very fresh and the service was great. I went back and ordered takeout for dinner. I got sushi and orders chicken teriyaki for my husband. Again the freshness of the food was great, but portion size left a little more to desired. For the cost I expected more food. I am usually filled with an order of sushi, their portion size had me dipping into my hubby’s food.

Best Asian cuisine by far. I love everything I order and we always have great service. They have lunch specials that are well priced too. We eat/order out here multiple times a month. Worth it!

This is a fine place to dine for Asian food and sushi. Pretty standard sushi and Asian cuisine offerings. The feel of the restaurant is nice but I have to say I felt rushed after my meal and it wasn’t even crowded. lots of open tables and no wait. So if you are looking for a long leisurely meal this may be an issue.

One of my favorite go-to locations for a quick tasty lunch. I usually visit here for work lunches, as their service is fast, the food is reasonably priced(about $ 8 – 10 for a soup and entrée) and there are always tables available right away. The food is basic, but always very tasty — I usually get either the Pad Thai or the Sesame Chicken. It’s not necessarily an authentic Asian food experience, but as it’s a fusion restaurant I’ve never expected it to be so. Overall, a great recommendation for a casual lunch, but I can’t speak about the dinner experience, which sounds like a different story based on other reviews.

We came here for the first time with some friends who love the food. When you first come in there is a small bar off to the left. We started with some drinks there. We were a party of 4 and had a reservation for a table, but the bartender was so engaging, he talked us into sitting at a high-top table in the bar section so he could be our waiter. For starts we split the fried cheese wontons, and a Blackstone roll. The Blackstone was excellent. I tasted one of the wontons, and it was average, nothing fancy. For dinner I had the General Tso’s chicken. There take on this was a spicier upscale version on what you would get from your local takeout. It was very good, and you got a decent amount for the price($ 13). The table split multiple sushi rolls as well, but I didn’t sample any. Everyone said that they were all good. A few that they tried were the Wilmington, Black lava spider, and the Kamikaze. We also had quite a few drinks and went with the fried ice cream and a mango sherbet for dessert. The bill was around $ 180 for the 4 of us, which was somewhat high for this type of food. Minus the alcohol, and it would have been a really good price. Next time, we may go for takeout and drink a bottle of wine at home.

So I have never actually been here for dinner, but have been here for lunch more times than I can count. Their lunch deal is insanely good. You get a soup or salad and your meal for $ 8 – 12 depending on what you order. Food comes out fast, fresh and delicious. Definitely on my lunch rotation!

I still have mixed feelings about this place after visiting a dozen or so times. The Sushi is simply mediocre. The rice is consistently undercooked and flavorless, and the small portions of fish in the Nigiri combine to make the experience much like supermarket sushi. The rolls are just plain sad. The two-roll lunch special seems like a bargain until it arrives. The rolls are maybe ¾ of an inch thick, with rice sparingly around the outside. Featured rolls are drenched in sauce, masking any flavor of the fish. The best offering is the Times Square roll, which is served with the sauce on the side allowing you to put just the right amount on each piece. Service is ok, but not consistent. The other items are quite good, the crispy rock shrimp is great, the dumplings are nice(although the shumai is bought-from-the-supermarket frozen and reheated) and the bentos were a good value during lunch. Salmon was well prepared and not overcooked, the teriyaki sauce was flavorful and not overpowering. If you are looking for good sushi, this is not the place for you. Takumi is right down the road, go there. If you are looking for a hibachi dinner, some good appetizers and steamed dumplings, give this place a try.

Great restaurant with good quick service. Food was great, lots to pick from and staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is sushi fusion with other Asian food mixed in for any palette. Definitely worth a visit.

So amazing. I really enjoyed my times square roll and birds nest appetizer. My boyfriend does not eat fish but was able to find multiple things appealing to him and got a great steak combo with a side of lo mein noodles. Great service and also a small bar section I’d like to try out!

Very good asian food. Their curry is amazing and the atmosphere it’s a small hidden gem. Prices are a little steep for the location, but definitely a good asian fusion restaurant to bring out of Towners to.

One of the better places to get sushi in Wilmington. I got the avocado and tomato salad-thr balsalmic vinegarette dressing was really sour so I’d recommend getting it on the side or trying the ginger sauce. There was plenty of avocado for $ 6. Salmon avocado roll-$ 6 super fresh and comes eight pieces Udon-typical udon noodles with tempura shrimp(2) and an egg along with chicken in the soup. It was super filling and a lot of noodles. $ 14 Service was kind of slow but friendly! I’d be back for more sushi, probably not the udon. There’s a parking lot so plenty of places to park. Its in a shopping center with panera.

Speaking as a huge sushi lover and a picky diner, this is def one of the best sushi places in DE. They have a variety of simple maki rolls as well as more creative and complex specialty rolls with amazing presentation. I mainly come here for the creative rolls because no other place has impressed me as much as this one. The servers are usually fast and attentive. While it’s a good sushi spot, their kitchen entrees are average. During my most recent visit, I sat at the sushi bar with my boyfriend. The new head sushi chef gave us a free appetizer(not on the menu): white tuna tempura with spicy tuna and crab on top. For our meals, I had Black Lava Spider roll– soft shell crab and avocado, topped with eel and black tobiko; squid sushi; and my boyfriend had the teriyaki beef bento box. He said the beef was dry and rough to chew, it also lacked in flavor. Our favorite was the black lava roll. The texture of the soft shell crab complimented the soft broiled eel on the outside. It was flavorful as well. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that the portions are all relatively smaller than other sushi places, but not the smallest I’ve seen either. It’s all forgivable because they keep the fish in big portions. Ive also had other things on the menu during previous visits. I strong recommend the Bird Nest appetizer and Fiesta Pizza as well.

Sushi was fine, but the service was a bit weird. We ordered a bottle of sake and you would think we ordered something crazy. Apparently, they don’t serve it much because they gave it to us in 2 huge wine glasses(pic attached). And the service overall just seemed a bit off. The positives: fast service and nice ambience for a strip mall restaurant. In the end, Le Shio was alright, but I prefer Takumi which is only minutes away.

Good, open-air environment with a strong energy to the place. Servers are fast and furious, and the crowd is dynamic. Food is good Asian fusion, where the highlights are more so on the salad side(very fresh greens, interesting sauces) and the crazy rolls if you’re into mayo and tempura dishes. The sushi, otherwise, is very standard to underwhelming. The rice isn’t any different from Uncle Ben’s. I did not detect any mirin or sake to bring out the Japanese flavor. Fish is limited to tuna, albacore, salmon, whitefish(unspecified, maybe fluke), and cooked shrimp. They have some other options on the menu, but the servers were unfamiliar with them and did not know if they were available. That’s a clear sign that they’d be raiding the freezer for items such as uni, so I opted out! Wasabi is fake, and the servers’ hyperactivity gives the impression they want tables to move. They could be more refined in their manners.
