I stopped in here around President’s Day to look for a Queen sized mattress. I knew what my budget was and told the salesman that, but he kept insisting on making me lay on a higher priced bed — which I did not want to do. I did not want to lay on something I would like but could not afford and told him why. This guy then proceed to argue with me and told me I «did not understand what he was telling me». Oh I understood perfectly well — he wanted to upsell me and I would not let him and that made me not want to buy a bed from him. When I told him I was not going to buy today he said«It will probably be in your best interest if you did» WHAT? I felt like I needed a shower that was so creepy I made an excuse to get out of there and asked for a business card — they don’t have any! Store policy I am told. WHAT? Good thing I went around the corner because I found the same exact brand bed, spec for spec for $ 500 less!!! Sleepy’s should be named Creepy’s. Their prices are high, their salesman are jerks and they wanted to charge $ 99 for delivery when my delivery was free where I bought my bed for $ 500 less.

My wife and I could not believe the patience, knowledge and professionalism that we received from willie Taylor. Rarely do you get to meet with someone that you actually look forward to buying something from again. He was the best… and we exchanged mattresses three times and he was still smiling when we called or walked in the door.

I recommend anyone shopping at Sleepy’s to brace themselves against nasty selling tactics, those«incredible deals» they’ll try to give you and bad mannered salesman. I presume most mattress stores(just like car dealerships) practice this kind of business, nevertheless I don’t approve it. They charged me one sum of money, but when my bed arrived the price tag said differently. I tried to get the $$$ difference from them, but that never happened. They made up million excuses that made no sense… I assume I’ll never see that money being returned to me. Sad that a business has to escape to stealing from customers to stay on the market… Very sad…
