There is a deli 20 feet from my work. I walk 5 blocks to go to this one instead. This is exactly what a deli should be. Great food, people, and prices.

Really? So old school and no wraps. It’s wheat, white, rye or a roll. Limited choices. Not my scene at all. Terrific little old ladies behind the counter though and very inexpensive.

Really nice people and fast, friendly service. I had an Egg Salad sandwich that was very good and very fresh. They had all the extra toppings and I thought the prices were very good. The place looks a little tired but was clean.

During my first week in my new office, a co-worker directed me to Leo & Jimmy’s. If you actually want meat and veggies on your sandwich, stop at Leo & Jimmy’s. They have good prices and the staff make you feel like family. Please don’t waste your money at Jimmy John’s… this deli knows how to make a real deli sandwich. The sides are also good. So far, I’ve tried the coleslaw and rice pudding. I am looking forward to trying their mac n’ cheese and meatball sandwich(recommended by another co-worker). Oh, and their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is one of my favorites. No frills… just egg and cheese on buttery bread. If you want to support a local mom-and-pop delicatessen, please look past the dated décor and give them a try. My taste buds(and wallet) look forward to supporting this business for as long as they are around the corner!

Don’t let the dated interior dissuade you, these folks know what they’re doing when it comes to sandwiches. The sandwiches are huge, the prices are the best in town, and they always use high quality, fresh ingredients. I just wish there was a place to sit down inside.

This is my go-to place for delivery during business lunches. Sandwiches are very generous with all fresh ingredients at a great price. The friendliest people on the phone and delivery on time, with a smile. What more could you ask for?!

I love this little deli. It has been here for years and the coffee is so good. The staff here is wonderful. The two ladies who work here are the best, they have photos on the wall from when they were younger. They are always so friendly and helpful. I just like going in whenever i’m in the city. The prices are very reasonable, you can get a decent breakfast sandwich and coffee for under $ 5.

Quick service. Food was great. Got the barbecued pulled pork sandwich and would definitely recommend it when it’s the hot sandwich special of the day again.

I still tend to review lunch joints as if I was still a poor college kid, i.e. seven bucks max to spend. For seven bucks I can get a large Italian sub(salami, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, onions, oil&vinegar, oregano, s&p) and change. Great sandwich, heavy, would put you to sleep during afternoon lectures if you didn’t have four(six) cups of coffee already overdriving your metabolism. I don’t think most of the local corporate wage slaves even know this joint exists, much to their own detriment. This is a far better option than a Quiznos or Subway; you are, at a minimum, buying local.

I’ve eaten there nearly every work day for the last year. Good food, great prices, MASSIVE sandwiches. Also do bagels in the am. Love this place. Specials change every day. They will take orders over the phone in advance so you can just pop in, get your lunch and pop out. They also cater lunches and I know they do deliver but I don’t know under what circumstances.

Leo and Jimmy’s represents Wilmington: a bit dilapidated, slightly misplaced, and a grim reminder of the heydays of yesteryear have left, but at the core, still with its character. The slaw has a generous amount of pepper to accent the crunchy cabbage, the JCB special may be worth ordering twice in one sitting, and the dedication of the young ladies working there is a gentle reminder that there is still kindness and heart here.

I’ve been here once and the tuna sandwich on wheat was fantastic! With a bottle of water it was only $ 5.95, which is a steal nowadays. There were 4 nice ladies doing the work and were nice enough to let me sample the tuna salad before ordering it. It’s a very small joint, almost like a hole-in-the-wall. Definitely a good place to check out for a quick sandwich for lunch. Some other items on the menu I saw were chicken salad, smoked turkey, italian, and roast beef. They only do cold sandwiches except the roast beef which they can do that hot or cold. No place to sit and eat though.
