This diner is standard. Large menu. Good soup. Portions are good. Service is good. Everything tasted fine, but I feel like I can make everything I ordered at my house much better. Cleanliness was par except for some dirty silverware. I think this place seems to be pretty popular among the locals because it is the only 24 hour place in the area.

I just ate here and had the French onion soup and French dip sandwich. Our server was great and my food was just as I expected. Its a diner so if you stop here don’t expect it to be the best thing on earth, but it’s perfect for when your looking for diner food. I I’ll definitely be going back and o would recommend it to friends and family. I have can’t complain.

We went to Marsh Road Diner on Christmas night, happy to have found a place that was open. The inside is spartan, the parking lot feels sketchy, and you should not hesitate to eat here. Decent food. Excellent and friendly service. Clean.

Good food, generous portions, lots of specials. My Sunday morning go-to place. Remember, this is a diner… Décor is pretty average. Manager could be a bit more friendly.

Enjoyed my breakfast. Plenty of hash browns with eggs cooked just as ordered. Waitress was friendly and refilled the coffee several times, which is something I always appreciate.

Good diner with decently priced food. I’d say the best in the area. Try the rice pudding if you go.

Diner. Let that sink in please because a visit to this plain, not fancy diner will have you pinching yourself. Why? Because besides all the diner staples they think outside the box with their nightly specials which usually number 4 to 5 entrees — All of which include 2 veggies or a salad and dessert for very reasonable prices. My honey moved into this Bellfonte neighborhood recently and with 5 nights of unpacking on our plate we visited Marsh Road Diner for breakfasts and dinners and a lunch or two. Not being a cook he has enjoyed this so much i see him eating dinner here a couple of nights per week. All of these meals were reasonably priced, homemade with nicely sized portions and served with smiles and checkbacks to see how our meal was going. This place is family run and the pride shows in the quality of the meals and the good service. I live 25 minutes away but this place will definitely stay in my diner dining circle.

This place is unimpressive. Food is not great and they have the TV in the small section being watched by the employees, blaring so loud I can’t hear myself think… or hear the other TV playing something different and I can’t see it to watch that one. Not my favorite way to eat a meal.

I had a terrible experience here. The Marsh Rd diner is absolutely horrifying. My boyfriend at the time went there & I saw several water bugs & roaches in the bathroom & on the walls. Didn’t get to sample the menu. Who would want to after seeing that. Lost my appetite immediately!

I am not certain whether we are all talking about the same place! My husband and I went there for breakfast once. The food was not very good! My Omelette was scorched(Brown) and dried as if it had been burned with an Iron — tasted like a corn muffin! The home fries were like instant potato flakes mashed in water then freeze dried, then fried hard! It was difficult to get a fork in them. They tasted like fried flour! The pancakes were doughy, and the packaged syrup was bland. The place was cramped, hot and uncomfortable.

Sometimes I wake up and a coffee from Dunkin is good enough. But some mornings, I wake up and I want a diner breakfast. And today, that diner breakfast was at Marsh Road as it was close to where I needed to be. Simple, low cost, easy, diner food. At least for breakfast, I have no idea what they have the rest of the day. I had a broccoli, tomato and cheddar omelet with hash browns. And that’s what was brought to me, but goodness was there a ton of it. The menu says«three eggs» but this had to be closer to four. I’m a big boy and I eat a lot, but this was a very large portion. And a lot of potatoes with it. And very very tasty. I was tempted to take the rest of it for lunch, but who needs that many eggs in a day? Service was good, the gal kept my coffee cup filled up. I would absolutely return to this place.

Very good food, Generous portion sizes, and friendly staff. Been here 6 times and it’s never crowded(that’s good for me), probably only due to the somewhat hidden location. I would highly recommend it.

We enjoy Marsh Diner we go here at least 2 – 3 times a month. We have had good and bad experiences both. Most of the time the food has been good can only say I remember one time I ordered the chipped beef gravy with toast and home fries and the gravy was so thick it was little a clump on the toast. And the other time I ordered the same thing with gravy on the home fries. It came out with out the gravy I told the waitress she took it back and came back with the home fries smothered in fried onions. Told the waitress she took it back and finally came back with the correct order. Sometimes on a Friday morning I call In a takeout order for breakfast to take to work and the omelette and home fries order is so large I end up having half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Now as far as ordering takeout for dinner not the best experience. Hubby went in to get our order came out went thru bag… needless to say we end up going back in three times because something was missing and even when we got home and opened up the containers they still gave us the wrong items. Now to go inside for dinner the experience is not that bad. Last time we went I had the open face meatloaf with fries and cole slaw. I really enjoyed the meatloaf not only did they give me a huge oval plate full of just the open face meatloaf piled high but it was very flavorful. A lot of places I have gotten the meatloaf even higher end restaurants you get this little slice of meat with no flavor. But they gave me so much I ended up taking half of it home for lunch the next day. If you want a lot for your money and good food and don’t mind a few hiccups here and there Marsh Diner is a great place to eat.

I have come here for takeout several times and usually get the hollywood salad which is good. I also got a cheese burger and it was ok. I finally decided to eat in. After looking over the menu and seeing that my go to items were a little pricey I decided on the baked meatloaf for 11.95. It came with choice of soup or salad and two veggies. I got fried cauliflower, which was good and baked potato it could have been better. The meatloaf came in 3 nice size pieces with brown gravy on it, no ketchup here, which I prefer, oh well. The meatloaf was ok a little bit to garlicky for me though. The portion size was impressive though. In a nut shell the menu is a little pricey and food is no great not bad just ok. Thats my story and I’m sticking to it!

This place definitely isn’t fancy but it’s a diner, what do you expect? The food is GREAT and the service is quick! This is my favorite breakfast place within a reasonable driving distance from North Wilmington. That’s including the ever trendy«Lucky’s» which is always over packed with a long wait and not as many options on the menu. The pricing is decent and the food is yummy and satisfying. I normally get the sausage biscuit meal which comes with homefries. I LOVE their homefries. They are super browned and crispy with some un-crispy parts too. Add your own salt and pepper and they are perfect. I’ve also gotten the regular egg meals with toast, bacon, sausage, etc. The portions are huge for what you pay. I’ve also been here for lunch and got a huge burger that was delicious. It was enough food to feed two people and it was less than you’d pay at a TGIF or similar restaurant. Will keep coming back here, again and again.

im a foodie and i found myself at this location for lunch while my ex’s car was getting a new exhaust. And first the soup actually had flavor… it wasnt just chicken stock/broth dump over some chicken an noodles it was slowed simmered actual soup. My spouse got broiled porkchops apple sauce and homefries. She ate 2 out of 3(which is unusual for her) The Apple sauce was homemade and deelicous. Pork chops were cooked perfectly Milkshake was freshly made with real ice cream and surved in a proper malt shop cup. Service was phonominal also and quick which earned them an additional star… Definitely a good reasonable place to eat good food

It’s not fancy, but I will add it to my list of approved Delaware diners. I reeeeely wanted a turkey club, and I got a perfect turkey club(with cheese, thank you). The nice woman who was our server today took our order quickly, was helpful, and anticipated our needs for refills and a box before we ever asked for a thing. It hit the spot.

Slow service, but really good food. And our server was hella courteous. Wish I could say more, but it’s nearly 2:30 am. Come here so it doesn’t close. Only 24-hour spot for miles!

I stopped in late one night with a friend as we were on our way home following a Blue Rocks game. The place was swarming with cops so you have to figure the food is good. Well, actually, it was great. One of the best turkey clubs I’ve ever had. It was just the late night meal I needed. I would stop by again in a heartbeat. If I lived closer, I would make a Blue Rocks game followed by Marsh Road Diner a tradition.
