Pretentious self important customers, overpriced, bad pizza. Snotty staff. These people ‘Think’ they are special and have no manners or social graces whatsoever.

I never know what to say about PBE. But it’s good. The décor is very striking. The service usually is, too. And the fare typically stands up to the previously noted. Give it a shot!

So we finally got back and had a pizza. Went for the Hasselback mini. Very good, but a little pricey. The wood fired oven produced a crisp, yet pleasantly chewy crust. Good quality sauce and cheese. plus tasty little meatballs. The crust was a perfect golden color, though I expected it to be more well done. Had dessert for the first time too. A nice square of chocolate cake with chocolate icing, accented with some sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Tasty as my own. So we still love Elizabeth’s, but on my pizza list they come in third.

My favorite restaurant in Wilmington. Their soup and pizza are exceptionally good. I particularly like their tomato soup.

Had a late lunch on Saturday. Entrance is thru a lovely covered patio. Hip bar to the left and loveseats with coffee tables on the right. Main dining room is like a big barn done in a white shabby chic décor. We had a table near the open kitchen and enjoyed watching the plates come out. Everything looked so delicious. We started with the tomato soup, rich with cream, just a little spicy. The cup was about 6 oz, the bowl about 10. A little smaller than normal, but enough for us. They both were garnished with croutons and accompanied by a breadstick right out of the wood burning oven. The land and sea salad was excellant. Both the steak and shrimp were some of the best I’ve had. My partner had the small chicken pot pie, thick with white meat. No room for dessert, but the toffee that came with the check was the perfect finish to a delicious meal. Looking forward to returning and trying the pizza.

I was rather looking forward to eating here, but wound up quite disappointed. The service was alright, though the food left much to be desired. The quality of ingredients was just kind of subpar. The hummus was overly thick, the mozzarella on the Boop pizza was generic and rubbery, and the Jackson tasted like spinach artichoke dip from a jar. The crust was more akin to a cracker than a yeasty pizza crust. But perhaps the biggest nuisance was the 3 incredibly rowdy children running around and yelling throughout the entire evening. I was honestly surprised that the restaurant staff said nothing to their clearly oblivious parents. It was ultimately the ambience that ruined the experience for me.

I was in Greenville on business and a coworker recommended stopping here for dinner. The décor and atmosphere were lovely. I ordered a martini to start and it was perfect after a long day of work. The cocktail was well-made. As for my entrée, I ordered the Boop pizza(recommended by my waiter) and added prosciutto. The Boop is basically a margherita; chunky tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and with the addition of balsamic vinaigrette. I’m a fan of simple when it comes to pizza and the Boop was just that. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were just right. The only reason why I docked off a star was the crust was just a bit too thick for my liking. If there were half star rankings, I would give this place a 4.5 stars. If I’m ever back in the area, I would love to revisit and try a different pie!

Who knew pizza could be so fancy The pizza selection paired with a good wine or cocktail is the perfect combination for a great night. Try the signature cock Elizabeth-tini, it’s delicious!

Went here on a Sunday afternoon, started with the breadsticks as an appetizer. Delicious! The dipping sauces are wonderful. The mushroom dipping sauce is addictive. I could just eat the breadsticks with sauce and be a happy! I got the Hasselhoff pizza, really good! service is polite and attentive. Atmosphere is pretty. On the girly side, perfect for a small bridal shower or girls night. Thumbs up for me!

When I started working in Wilmington I would come here all the time. I’m obsessed with the crab cake salad and soy dressing. I constantly crave it. Can’t wait to go back

I just had my bridal shower here and it was amazing! The space was perfect! You don’t even need any extra decorations because the room is full of light and unique details. Everyone enjoyed the food too! The pizzas were perfect for everyone! We also had a watermelon mint sangria that was a hit with the group! The staff was always there when you needed them, but they were never in the way or intrusive. They were amazing! I’d definitely recommend Pizza By Elizabeth’s for any event! Thanks for making my day so special!

How they manage to cram all there style elements while establishing a clean and spacious feel is a feat for all the ages. Genial jazz musicians added a special touch to my brunch pizza topped with shrimp and artichoke hearts. They also helped drown out crying baby sound from the baby shower in back(sweet baby! U b loud!). The pizza crust was thin and kept the meal from being to heavy. There’s also a whole wheat crust option. The menu was full of options that I think would satisfy any picky person. I typically try the oddest sounding drinks or food on the menu and this time tried the local seasonal Jalapeño Peach beer, finding it inherently drinkable(woot!). I took half my pizza to go to make room for dessert, choosing the sugar free, gluten free strawberry topped panna cotta. I can usually detect(and detest) artificial sweeter but here I couldn’t at all. This dessert was absolutely refreshing and delicious. My server Lexi was friendly, prompt and happily answered my questions regarding the food. All in all this was an excellent experience. I can’t wait to come back and again try to grasp the eccentric genius of the business model and décor ;)

This place was fantastic! We stopped by after visiting the DuPont estate for a quick bite before heading home. We were immediately pleased to find outdoor seating(dog friendly) but went straight on by to sit at the bar where we met Tim, an excellent bartender. We were super happy to find out that they brew their own beer(Frozen Toes). We took a peek at some of the many beers they brew and were in awe. We tried a porter and mango/jalapeño Hefeweizen, both of which were solid. The atmosphere was great. It has great lighting and eclectic furniture with a theme of people named Elizabeth. Food was outstanding. They grow a lot of their own herbs and some veggies. We ordered a salad, a pasta special, pizza, and cookies with homemade ice cream. I would do it all again! Good news is they host beer dinners with two pairings per course and four or five courses. Excited to give it a go! Definitely worth the trip.

If you are looking for a quick, generic pizza, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for something special, you have found your place! The pizza here is amazing and you can build your own which is really nice! The pizza does cost a little more than a local pizza shop, but you are getting something completely different. The toppings are fresh and very diverse. TRYTHEPEPPERONI! I am not normally a huge fan of pepperoni pizza because the pepperoni winds up being crisp little discs of grease, but this is a completely different kind of pepperoni. It’s thick and slightly spicy. For the build your own pizza they stop charging you after four toppings, so I always ask for extra pepperoni. Also, their other food is very good if you are not in the mood for pizza. Their tomato soup is THEBEST I HAVEEVERHAD. Seriously, I eat it in July that is how good it is. Plus, the check comes with delicious toffee that you will fight over because it is so tasty!

Went here for the first time yesterday and was majorly impressed ! First impression is that the place is adorable — quite the hidden gem. Our server(Erin) was great — very attentive and smiley. Had a few champagne cocktails(mmmm) and a breakfast type pizza which was so amazing. I could have stayed all day ordering everything off the menu — cant wait to visit again . Oh and the chocolate covered toffee with the check — nice touch !

Very nice place, nice décor, friendly feeling. In terms of pizza, well done. Tasty crust, thin and crisp, good texture, and nice selection of toppings. Big pizza oven for many of their dishes, but gas fired, but still very tasty and hot!

I have been waiting to go here forever because the first time I went they had a long waiting list! Let me tell you, it is worth the wait. There is a nice lounging area while you wait. The décor is beautiful and the dress is nice even during lunch. The best part is the gluten free menu. The server was very knowledgable about the gluten free options. I had one of the gluten free pizzas and it was amazing. Highly recommended.

When my friend suggested Pizza by Elizabeths, I thought it would be an average pizza place, but it was a step above that. It is super chic and the perfect place to have a great lunch. This isn’t your average slice and take out place, instead the pizza is brick oven style and it comes with real plates, forks and knives. I ordered the Mini Hasselbeck Pizza and it was tasty. It came with mini meatballs on top, which made it easy to eat. At the end of our meal our waitress gave us toffee when she gave us our bill and it was amazing. My advice park in the front and not the back. If you have never been here before the signs in the back can be slightly confusing. I will come back here for lunch again.

If the World of Pinterest ever decided to create a pizza restaurant, Pizza By Elizabeths would be it. Seriously. The entire restaurant from the signage to the restrooms looks like a photo spread for Martha Stewart Living magazine. This restaurant came recommended by a co-worker of Faithful Dining Companion’s, a woman who lived in the area and, upon hearing that we were taking the Queen Mother to the«Downton Abbey» exhibit at nearby Winterthur, insisted this was the place to go. OK. The location is indeed very close to Winterthur, tucked into a bi-level shopping ‘plaza’ filled with restaurants and shops — places like Talbots, a barre fitness studio, Francesca’s and a place called«Two Fat Guys Grill». Parking was reasonably good. The entrance is quite lovely — a skylit atrium with faux trees, twinkle lights, tables and candles. Were it a bit warmer, I bet that space would have been hopping. It’s reflective of the entire space’s feel — high vaulted skylit peaked ceilings, lots of glass chandeliers, photos & portraits of famous«Elizabeths»(Taylor, Shue, Queen, etc.). We were seated at a banquette near the open kitchen with it’s fiery pizza oven and bustling chefs and servers. Part of the space was cordoned off tastefully(of course) for a bridal shower. Of course. It’s the perfect Pinterest shower setup. The food was… mixed. Spinach Artichoke Dip was very good, missing something we couldn’t quite put our finger on. The soup sampler, a great idea, was a 2– out of 3 hit. Cream of Tomato and Chicken Rice soup were very good, crab soup was watery and bland. We ordered containers of the former to go, this seemed to confound them a bit(which is surprising as they have a separate takeout ‘store’ area near the entrance) but they figured it out. The salads: Poached apple, walnut, bleu cheese and balsamic vinaigrette salad wanted to be good and usually that combination is a no brainer. The dressing was thick and unusually savory, and things just didn’t gel. The chicken curry salad was, on the other hand, very good. Entrees: Here’s where it gets odd. On the menu, there is an expected huge dedication to all things«artisan» pizzas — pizza with broccoli rabe and goat cheese, pizza margherita, etc. Totally expected, it is, after all, a pizza restaurant at its’ highly decorated core. Then they have a section called«Entrees». It has items like Lasagna, pasta with meatballs, chicken pot pie and a grilled cheese and tomato soup combination. Perfect. The Queen Mother LOVES a good grilled cheese & tomato soup. What came out was, in a word, unexpected. She got four wedges of a personal size pizza with grilled cheese on it, no sauce, and a cup of soup. It was a pizza? Made me darn curious what we would have gotten if we’d ordered the lasagna. Noodles on a crust? One of us got the«Shue» bbq chicken, scallion and cheese pizza that again, should work fabulously, it’s a tested combination. It was good but bland, which, with that combo, it shouldn’t be. I think if you’re going for a decent ‘artisan’ pizza with beautiful Pinterest atmosphere, this is your place. The food on the whole didn’t knock our socks off. The surroundings though made for a quite pleasant experience. We wouldn’t go out of our way to eat there again, however as it’s directly next to a Talbot’s Women’s store that FDC absolutely loved, I have a feeling we’ll be back. Or maybe we’ll check out that Two Fat Guys Grill. ’cause that’s where I wanna go after trying on plus size clothing and staring at skinny barre fitness people, don’t you?
