This place is so good! We had mango jerk chicken wings and Jamaican patties. Best ever! Good music, good drinks, and amazing food.

Wilmington lacks options for ethnic restaurants therefore I was really excited when I noticed the new Caribbean restaurant on Unilocal. It was almost nine before we decided to head that way but the restaurant was relatively busy and the kitchen was still serving. For an entrée we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which was good, but nothing special although I really enjoyed the fried pita bread for dipping. My wife and I are notorious for not eating letting overs therefore we have started to order only one entrée to cute down on waste. We ordered the chicken curry with plantains, rice and beans. Our entrée came out almost immediately after the appetizer, which I really appreciated because we were hungry and trying to make a 10:30 show. When I dine out I prefer to have the food brought out when it is ready unless I specifically request it to be coursed out. Curry chicken is one of my favorite dishes and this didn’t disappoint. I’m not a fan of spicy food but this had just the right amount of kick. My only two complaints are that I wish there was more gravy for the rice and beans and a larger side of plantains. I love plantains and I think five is not nearly enough for a side. I will be back but next time I am ordering two sides of plantains. As we were about to leave the live music started. The music was great, I only wish we had time to stay and listen to the set. The food and atmosphere overshadowed the lack of service. This is great place for a casual fun date night or dinner with friends. Tip: the later you go, the louder it get.
