All the food is great. I used to come here, when it wasn’t even a restaurant. Best seafood in Wilmington.

Thursday’s special is $ 1.99 grilled tacos. They top the tacos with a peanut sauce, which sounds weird for seafood tacos, but it was really good. They have a free chips and salsa. I topped my taco with lots of pic de gallo, which was very good. The fish is display in a case so you can see how fresh it is. Menu items can be pricey based on the fish you get, so lunch can be cheap tacos or $ 15 plus for a dinner plate. The building is an old warehouse and on a small street that you’d likely never drive down.

Great fresh seafood selection! Heaping portions. I had the halibut fish tacos two ways, fried and grilled. There’s a self serve chips and salsa bar. Orders came quick to our table. And great outdoor environment for lunch or dinner.

Came in and tried the mixed seafood cocktail. Gal behind the register was super friendly and helpful. My lunch was amazing. I got it with all the seafood choices and all the toppings. Will definitely be back for more! The place is also super clean and does not smell at all fishy. Self serve chips and salsa which were also yum!

Coming here takes me to another place unlike the ordinary, service and food are always top notch. You really got to try there fish sandwich @$ 4.99 on Mondays and shrimp tacos $ 2.49 Tuesday’s. Can’t really say anything bad about this place except it’s a whole in a wall and kind of in a ghetto place but it doesn’t bother me taking my whole family for some good grub. Been coming here since 2013.

Love this place. A little out of the way but worth going. Always a vibrant friendly staff and a good priced meal. i love the scallop tacos but the burrito seems to be the favorite based on what I see people ordering. Have been 5+ times and no complaints. Great Food.

Spectacular! Had the grilled orange rouphy fillet with grilled zuchinni and thier cajun potatoes. It came out with tartar sauce but don’t know why anybody would want to ruin such flavorfuly seasoned grilled fish. Pefectly grilled. Nice and tender and yummy. Best potatoes ever to touch my tounge. Tender and tastey and hmmmmmm The zuchinni was perfect too. Just grilled but perfect. This place is a new favorite. I will be making it a destination for certain. I’ll just make walks my justification knowing the food is the reason and reward. Oh yeah, for a walk up counter to order, the service is awesome. Friendly with a smile. You really feel as though your presence is appreciated. Again, the food is reward. The prices are exactly where they should be. No… the prices are actually SPECTACULAR considering the yummyness of the food and the happy service.

Places like this make me wish I lived closer to a beach area that has some amazing legit seafood. Lunch time with my co worker and I know nothing about Wilmington… So I needed some Unilocal of course!!! Luckily I found this spot! Parking is not the best. I had to park on the other side of the block and walk around, but whatever, it’s alright with me. We were greeted by the sweet cashier and she suggested the deal of the day, tilapia fish tacos– grilled or fried. So I got two grilled and two fried and a bottle of Mexican Coke. It took about 5 mins for the dos to come out. In the meanwhile you can get all you want chips and salsa. They’re chips are so good! Like they are made fresh! The red salsa didn’t really taste like anything, but the green salsa was really good! The tacos a me out and they were big tacos… Not what I’m used to. The have a ‘secret sauce’ they use on the tacos which is like some weird curry tasting sauce but it was a pretty good combination. The fried fish was pretty good but the grilled fish was amazing! I honestly wish that I got all of them to be grilled(it would have probably been healthier for me anyways). I downed 3 tacos and couldn’t finish the 4th(so disappointed!!). We cleaned up and hit the road. This spot is the real deal if you want seafood! I’m definitely coming back here! If you’re in the area or just want to get some really good seafood come here!

My first trip to Shamrocks I was somewhat disappointed. That was because the local guys built it up so much. The shrimp tacos were good, but not the best I have every had. The shrimp were very small, but they do make up for it by piling so many on you could make a third taco if you buy two. I tried both the filled and fried, both were good, but one did. Not stand out from the other. After my second trip I understood what all the fuss was about. I ordered a bluefin tuna(rare or course) sandwich on sourdough. It was one of the top two or three fish based sandwiches I have had. Even the bread was great on it. The last thing is that the employees especially the lady taking your order is incredible nice and helpful. She seems to be in a perpetual good mood. That means a lot in this day.

I’ve only tried the shrimp tacos and grilled zucchini, and would be very happy to have just that every time I come here. It’s the perfect meal — two shrimp tacos(you get the choice of grilled or fried), grilled zucchini, and a beer. Complimentary chips and salsa. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff is always very nice. Parking lot is small but there’s plenty in residential. As others have already mentioned, this is indeed a hidden gem. I only wish they were open later during the day and weekends.

The First time I came here I was quickly hooked and became a big fan of this place. Came on a weds at a random time I think it was 2-ish so it wasn’t too crowded. I was mind hungry so AGAIN, I over did it on the ordering. Had the GRILLEDSHRIMPBURRITO, FRIEDSHRIMPTACO, GRILLEDFISHTACO, and CEVICHE. Nowhere near finished everything and took a lot of it to go. SHRIMPBURRITO $ 8.99 Ordered Grilled or Breaded & Deep Fried stuffed with cajun potato, cheese, cabbage, onion, tomato, cilantro, and signature sauce. So friggin good! Probably one of my favorite items on the menu. They don’t skimp on the shrimp and the burrito itself is a very good size. 4 ½ stars*** SHRIMPTACOS $ 3.49 can be order Grilled or Breaded & Deep Fried and comes with cabbage, onions, tomato, cilantro and signature sauce. Much like the shrimp burrito but I just opted to have the shrimp fried. Super good with the right amount of crunch from the fried shrimp 4 ½ stars*** GRILLEDTILAPIATACO $ 2.85 can be order Grilled or Breaded & Deep Fried and comes with cabbage, onions, tomato, cilantro and signature sauce. Tilapia was blackened and flavored perfectly. 4 ½ stars**** CEVICHE– $ 14.99 a pound price varies on the weight. I got a small size container for about $ 10 and it was more than enough for my friend and I to share, plus take home. Ceviche is fresh and quite flavorful. They don’t give you much juice so the flavor is lacking slightly but I’m not complaining I just added more lime and some hot sauce and it was mmmmm mmmm good! My ceviche consisted of tons of fish, octopus, scallops, tomato, cucumber, and shrimp. 4 stars*** Staff was extremely helpful and gave us suggestions and answered the 101 questions we had Parking kinda sucks during peak hours but there is plenty of parking on the street. Seating is plenty and is available both inside and outside. Outside seating is semi covered so you get some coverage from the rain and or sun. The only thing that sucks is they close early at 3pm and when I’m craving I can never get my fix due to getting off work at 7pm! Eh I’ll be coming back on my days off.

A whale of customer service! Gotta love it! The ONLY disappointing thing about this place is it closes at 3pm. Grrrrr, very understandable being that the only things around the places are businesses and the ports. So it’s appropriate to close early. The bench seats are a little uncomfortable as my 5’3 legs were swinging when I sat down. I opted for the fish tacos. I’ve had PLENTY of fish tacos in my life time but these were the most meaty and tasty fish tacos. When I say tasty, sure once you put all the fixings on top of the tacos it tastes great but here the fish alone was very flavorful. My friend had a plate of fish and shrimp. Everything looked really good on his plate and he wouldn’t share when normally he will. He even had some to take home with him which is rare. The service here is really warm and welcoming. When you walk in everyone is upbeat and says hello. The line around lunch time was long but that did not stop them from getting our food out to us quickly. I unfortunately found out the HARD way about the times. I went just on a whim and 430 and ta da to my surprise yes they were closed.

Great spot for lunch specials during the week. Sort of like the Reel Inn, in a good way. I tried out the Monday and Wednesday $ 5 foot-long fish sandwich special. It’s now available on wheat or white bread and grilled or fried… so how healthy do you wanna be? One way is to add a side and share this thing with someone… it really is a foot long. I would also recommend asking that they hold or go light on the creamy orange sauce. Today’s fish was talapia, but I’ll bet they have it often. Kids quesadilla was a very reasonable $ 3 and comes with fries. Sodas are top dollar at $ 2 for a small :(Beer next time, I guess. Chips and salsa while you wait for not very long. Huge, nice, clean patio outside and surprisingly nice bathrooms. I like this better than their big brother, San Pedro Fish Market. Too bad about the limited hours… I only wish I was in the area more often mid-week!

AMAZINGSHRIMPANDFISHTACOS!!! If you’re within a 10 mile range of this place, you MUST come here for some seafood! They don’t mess around here, their tacos are huge and overflowing with filling. They also double the tortilla, so you can turn your one taco into two! I honestly couldn’t decide which taco I like better. I only got to try the grilled shrimp and grilled swordfish taco, I wish my stomach was bigger so I can consume more of these bad boys. Their ceviche was also delicious. For $ 13 you get a medium sized container that is big enough for 3 people, and you can do a combination of whatever seafood you want. They also have unlimited self serve salsa and tortilla chips! The fish fillets are also incredible! They grill the zucchinis and fish filets to perfection! Sharmrock Seafoods definitely knows how to cook their seafood right! I live about 30 minutes away and I would drive here just for their tacos! Free lot and street parking!
