I have gone here a few times, Will not go back again. The last time i went the lady who gave me a hair cut didn’t even bother to trim my neck hair, was just grumpy and i had specifically told her about having even side burns on both side. She just ignored it. Feels like she didn’t want to work there.

My 9 year old had her haircut here, it was so bad she started crying in the parking lot. Way shorter then what we wanted and the«angle» they gave her is horrifying and makes her look like a girl from the 70’s. Are these people qualified? I could have done this hairdo myself. It took the girl not even 10 minutes to slain my daughters hair. Very dissatisfied. Hire people who know what there doing.

Okay, I wasn’t going to write this review, and really thought against doing it, but decided to go ahead anyways. The experience here wasn’t overwhelmingly negative, but there were a few points about it that were really awkward, as well as unnecessary and uncalled for in my opinion. After going to the Foulk Rd location recently(in my previous reviews), I jumped over to this Supercuts location for a fix on July 15th. My hair was cut by a nice girl, who verified that one side was still a bit longer than the other from the previous cut, and proceeded to try to help fix it. She was pleasant and friendly, and seemed eager to please. I appreciated that. However, the very same day, as I was headed home, I notice something still off, and I headed right back to the salon. I tried to point it out to her, but she just gave it a quick look, said she saw what I was talking about, but then dismissed it as my hair not curling up right in that section, told me to wet it, scrunch it, and it should be fine. Disappointed, I went home. Later I resolved to go back, which was about 3 days after, to get it looked at again. We go back on July 18th, and the store manager is there, along with another girl who was there the last time, though not the one that last cut my hair. This other girl quickly looks at it and seems to find nothing wrong. Then the manager looks at it, and says she thinks she sees something and points it out to the previous girl, and resolves to fix it. She first has me return to the waiting area before she attends to me, and as I am walking back to where my husband is seated, the other girl calls out ‘this better be the last time’, to which I quickly reply over my shoulder ‘I sure hope so’, then she amends herself by adding ‘I’m sure you do, poor thing’, because she knows I went through two previous uneven cuts at the Foulk location before coming to this one. That kinda made me a little uncomfortable, but I seated myself and waited to be seen. Before long, the manager called me back, wet my hair, and proceeded to cut it. Now, despite the fact that just a little earlier she said out loud to me, herself, and the other girl that she thought she saw something a bit off, she proceeds to give me a drawn-out lecture about why that section of hair could be a bit longer than the rest… blaming everything like my hair being ponytailed into a scrunchie and possible damage from that, to the way I part or style my hair, to my curl pattern, or products I use in my hair… everything but the kitchen sink, making me feel I was crazy and wrong, and I or my hair or a product or way of styling were to blame. She had also talked about how meticulous the previous girl can be about haircuts, and it seemed she was– first and foremost– more interested in defending the previous girl and her work(which I never in any way attacked or insulted, just honestly and politely said it was still off and needed adjustment). But me being a shy and silent pushover, just kept quiet and desperately waited for her to finish. Then right at the very end of the cut, as she’s taking the cape off and ready to let me leave the chair, she tells me that there was a little bit on the right side that was a little longer than the rest. I had to be sure I heard her right, so I cautiously asked her ‘So, it WAS a little longer on that side than the other?’, to which she replies ‘Yes, you were right. You called it.’ She then shows me the clippings on the floor, with the other girl looking on, how much it was off by. I didn’t quite know how to react to this or what to say by this point. I just quickly thanked her and left. Neither of the stylists were outright mean or rude, but I felt a little personally attacked that day by the manager– talked down to and made to feel wrong about knowing something was still off about my hair, only to have it confirmed and validated at the end of the cut. I felt that was wrong and uncalled for, and a little unprofessional in my opinion to belittle your customer, especially when you confirm their claims by the time all is said and done. My husband, who was seated just on the other side of the divider between the chair I was in and the waiting area, pretty much heard everything said to me and wholeheartedly agreed. Kudos to Supercuts(Regis Corp) phone customer service support. They listened to my tale of unsatisfactory cuts and unprofessional treatment, and mailed me a gift card for $ 15 toward the next haircut, and offered to pass the info on to help improve their services. I will probably pass the card on to my husband, since he uses Supercuts on occasion, and seems to have no trouble getting a decent cut from them.

I’ve been using a ‘salon’ for a few years simply because that’s the only type of place readily available to me in and around my ‘hood, so imagine my slight worry realizing that this was the only logical place to get my hair coiffed while in Wilmington. My hair grows fast. TOO fast; and I like to keep it short, though slightly ‘styled’. So the fact it hadn’t been cut in nearly a month and a half was causing great anxiety. I was the only white boy with a bushy ‘fro north of the Mason Dixon line. I think. And so, I popped-in to Supercuts. Amanda was anxious to help. I told her how I typically get it cut, no fuss but I DO like a little layering/style but nothing complicated. The store is new, opening in June. Nice, clean open space, modern workstations, good music playing, comfy chairs in a large waiting area. *sigh*, sometimes I miss the ‘burbs. I walked out with a great haircut; short, clean, enough bangs to push up or part… Just right. I recommend this place to anyone needing anything from a simple cut to a great styling for a special weekend. Maybe Manhattan needs more ‘Supercuts’. One can hope. I’m going to stare at myself in the mirror now.
