Terrible. We are not sure why, everyone that is local recommends the husk. Worst bar on front st. The food service was not good. She was nice but more concerned w who was walking into the bar. The food was bad. Pulled pork came out w no bbq sauce, dry. The wings are NOT the best. The salad was not a salad. Basically a plant on a dish. Sucked. Do not go here. The crowd was crappy the bar is not as good as the others.

great beer selection. but the food service was just terrible. I ordered a basic tempura chicken bites and tater tots with a side of blue cheese. unfortunately the blue cheese was spoiled and I notified the bartender, but she gave me no other options. I asked for a different sauce side but after three attempts with three different servers I finally received a different sauce. I wasn’t even offered ketchup. the chicken wasn’t extraordinary, but I wasn’t expecting anything fantastic for late night bar fare, just something simple as I’ve had them many times before. as I stated before, the beer selection is great but I will not order food from here again and would not recommend it. well actually, the totchos are lit as fuck

The tall bartender Raquel is awesome. The tater tots are even better, best in town. TV’S all over and they each have their own box, so any game can be played. Also, as long as it’s not to busy they are dog friendly!

The husk is the best bar downtown, everyone makes you feel welcome, Raquel and Steve-o are some of the best bartenders I’ve ever had, they are so attentive and welcoming, you’ll feel right at home

My favorite part about watching a Sunday game here is the Blood Mary’s. This signature drink is basically the best of comfort food pilled high on top of the perfect cocktail. Unilocaler’s love this business because of the great seating to accommodate large crowds and the cheap drink specials. This place is a favorite for many locals to watch the game because the venue is huge and not as busy on Sunday afternoons.

The site of the former Roudabush Seed Store. Beautiful building, reasonable beer prices and full bar. Bar food, like chicken fingers, hot dogs and quesadillas, available. If the menu were expanded, could be a powerhouse. Nice people.

I’ve never tried the food but the bar is crowded and it takes a long time to get a drink. The bouncers are pretty rough because they won’t let you in unless other people come out. Just noticed the outdoor portion and it would be cool to check that out when it gets warm!

Monday nights are the best. $ 3 wells, domestics, and appetizers. Me and bae have come almost every Monday for the past year. The food is excellent and the bartenders Shawn and Mike are both attentive and hilarious. A Monday without The Husk is a serious let down.

Terrible service from the bartenders. Slow night and three bartenders all on their phones. Poured a drink and right back to their phones. No personality or effort.

The husk has a great selection of craft beers on tap. It has a ton of tvs and a great setup for watching sports. Really comfortable booths and a cool southern feel with heirloom seed packets imbedded in the tables. The food is typical bar fare with some interesting options such as boiled peanuts and sriracha mac and cheese eggrolls. It’s a great spot for day drinking and really busy on weekends with an outdoor bar for the nice summer nights.

This place is great! We stopped by here because we noticed we could bring our dog inside. The beers are very reasonably priced for the area and there is lots of seating with access to tv’s which was nice to watch a game on. The staff was friendly and very nice to our furry friend, they kept bringing him water and giving him attention. I would highly recommend this as a cool place to hang out, have a beer, and watch a game, especially if you have your pet tagging along.

You can clearly tell the bar tender has no interest in anything?! Not sure what her name is but she could care less about your experience? Sad! Should of been better!

I really wanted to like this place, as Wilmington needs a good sports bar, with good food and craft beer. However, after a visit this past weekend I have to rate Husk one star at best due to the extremely rude bouncer, door guy(didn’t get his name but he is older, bald, and very uptight). He was hassling people for no apparent reason, and was so rude to a group of guys who were very laid back just watching games on TV that they left. I don’t know what his problem is, but if management continues to let him hassle people for no reason this place will be out of business soon. As for the bar itself, the beer selection is awesome, the bartenders are friendly and fast, and the outdoor patio is cool. Get rid of the jerk bouncer, and my friends and I will come back.

My experience here was«eh»… Roomy with nice ambiance, but when I ordered a cider, it came out dark and red. I drank it anyway, figuring why not? My second request for the same cider gave me the same results, so I approached the bartender. The keg had been placed on the wrong tap and they had no other cold ones(I finally found this out after the bartender walked away from me to go chat with a friend). I was offered an alternate, bottled cider, which was great, and did get an apology from the barback who told the bartender the cold kegs were out. Imagine my surprise when I closed out my tab and I was charged for 3 drinks. I literally took one small sip of the SECOND incorrect cider but was apparently charged for it. At this point, I didn’t feel like arguing as my friends and I were ready to leave and my card was already charged(they don’t run it at the end of the night, but give it back when you open a tab; odd), so I ignored it, but something is a bit off when a bartender pulls a cider draught and doesn’t notice the dark red color, kegs are placed on the wrong taps, and customers are overcharged. This probably won’t be a bar to which I’ll be returning on a regular basis. I’ve lived in Wilmington many years and have never had this kind of weird service before. Bonus: the ladies’ bathroom was consistently out of toilet paper in one stall and had no paper towels. It was early in the evening, so apparently they didn’t even check the restrooms? Much better service and knowledgeable bartenders at Blue Post and Satellite. Also, I’d recommend viewing the«hidden» Unilocal reviews for this establishment; if you’re so inclined.

So here is what I reviewed here: one of the bartenders and my boyfriend secretly chatting and then exchanging phone numbers as he cashed out. Thanks for the service, really. Tip: steer clear of the amazon. At least they had free CHILI on Sundays so I could eat my feelings.

My favorite bar downtown, that isn’t called the goat and compass. Busy on the weekends but so is everywhere worth going too. Hot dogs are a nice little surprise. Great microbrew selection easily listed on the wall with a price, with is unusual.

Middle of the afternoon on a Monday — it was me and several college girls at the bar. I had a Foothills Hoppyum IPA which was good enough and cheap at $ 4.00. Second visit I had a Blue Point White IPA also good. Décor is a bit rustic. Several beers on tap with a list of both draft and tap beers on a chalkboard. I will post a pix. Lots of smaller flat-screens near the booths, larger flat-screens at each end of the bar. Very busy and loud on the weekends; mostly a younger crowd.

Their new outdoor patio area definitely took this place from 4 to 5 stars, in my opinion. Good place to hang out and they have a pretty good variety of bottled beers. It is often crowded and can be hard to get to the bar. Their indoor seating areas are also very cool and provide good spots for large groups of people to sit.
