The energia is the best breakfast wrap I’ve ever had. Service is good. Toscana is an overall really great place. Quick, easy, and delicious.

A friend of mine who lives in Wilmington insisted that we eat here when I came to town. This is apparently one of two fantastic lunch spots, in his opinion. The interior was much more posh than what I first expected. It’s pretty classy for a neighborhood deli, that’s for sure! The main restaurant it’s attached to is apparently a very nice dining experience as well. The selection is great for a mostly carry-out place. There are lots of traditional Italian items(lasagna, caprese salad, etc.) as well as more classic deli items(wraps, soup, etc.) and dessert. I got the Grilled Chicken & Veggie Caesar Wrap – totally delicious – loaded up with dressing, the way I like it. Although we only interacted briefly, the staff seemed very courteous and helpful. My friend told me that he comes here nearly every week and has never had a bad experience, which says a lot. I don’t frequent Wilmington too often, but I would definitely come here again. Maybe I’ll get the chance to wine and dine in the main restaurant soon?

meh, we grabbed a a few items to try out… I thought most of them were bland, tastless and overpriced… maybe it was just a off day, but ill pass next time

Food is good, but expensive. It’s a bouge deli with a crazy complicated ordering system, with a cold staff. My problem was with the Espresso Bar sign. That sort of implies this would be a place to politely chill, read or write, and drink coffee(or espresso). Not the case. Its understandable since they cater to the wealthy though. Definitely a place for groups. You need some hot bodies to warm up that freezing atmosphere.

If you work, live, or frequent in Wilmington, I highly suggest stopping in to Toscana To Go! Don’t get me wrong, I lovvvve the attached traditional dining area, but something about the to go that I continue to rave about to all my friends and colleagues! Conveniently opened before you even head into work, you can stop in for coffee/breakfast AND take out lunch for later in the day or even dinner. The case is always overflowing with the freshest sides and entrees. Don’t even get me started on the desserts! I can confidently say that I have never been disappointed. This place is perfect for anyone on the go who has little or no time to cook. They also offer fairly healthy options as well(fresh veggies, quinoa, ects.) Or even if you just want to chill out and Brew HaHa is too crowded(which it often is), the seating here is cute and quite cozy. Free wifi helps too!

I used to be a huge fan of TTG, but not after my last visit. Everything from customer service to value seems to have diminished. So disappointing. We ordered some comfort food after long, bad days at work. I was so looking forward to splitting my usual favorite dish(the ham/ricotta tortellini) with the BF, but when we opened up our container, we found ten — TEN — little tortellinis looking awfully lonely in their container. Seriously? $ 12 for ten pieces of pasta? Is there a ricotta shortage? In the past, a takeout order from TTG would easily feed two. The service at pick-up was a total cluster. Either they were in a huge hurry to get out the door for the evening, or they just totally forgot about the order I called in. Everything was very obviously thrown together, and my favorite salad that is supposed to come with the Best Lemon Vinaigrette Ever instead got some balsamic hastily thrown in. So, bottom line: Unless this experience was a one-off, TTG has become overpriced with hasty, forgetful customer service. I’m willing to give them another chance and update, but I’m inclined to think that yet another quality-driven restaurant has started valuing profits over customers.

You can get anything from carry-out to casual to a nice dining room experience here! Great food! Nice, nice people. I had delicious salmon, which I felt a limitless arrogant about since I live in Seattle. Oh! It was SO good!

This place is my fave for good quality food on the go — eat in or take out I eat here just about weekly. I am sure to find some yummy eats in the case, and there are also sandwiches soups and salads for lunch, pastas for dinner. There are lots of healthy and tasty options and the price is right — the same quality as the restaurant next door but for about half the price tag for most items-and they added their pizzas to the takeout menu– love the fig and gorgonzola.

Very disappointed. A light take-out lunch for two was $ 24 and was ok at best, but the $ 2 cupcakes we had must have been sitting there for days. They looked good, but were 100% stale. I thought there would be more for a selection of food too. I doubt we’ll be back.

I’ve had good food here, but I find the system awkward — I’ve been in twice and neither time were the items labelled and the staff seemed confused by my questions(I’ll leave it to the reader to decide if «Is there chicken broth in that» or «how much is typically a serving,» for example, is a weird question.). That being said, the food was quite good, the people friendly, and it’s terrific for a stop on the way home when I am both too tired to cook and too tired to think about sitting in a noisy(or even not so noisy) restaurant. I know they have a new location — I’ll be curious to see how/if they’ve changed up the system)

Not much love for Toscana to Go on Unilocal! I personally love it here. Yes, it is a little expensive– but I think it’s worth it. In fact, I will choose to get Toscana to Go over going to their actual sit down restaurant — saves money and you get the same food, but more of it! Their pasta dishes easily serve 2 people and their salads look deceptively small, but are actually quite filling. I’m a big fan of the Kitchen Salad– it has a bit of everything in it. However, I haven’t tried much in the way of meat entrees– so I can’t weigh in on price or quality there. Since the renovation I’ve heard they’re serving breakfast and I’m really excited to check it out!

I agree with the previous reviewers. Toscana to Go is overpriced for what you get, and the food is really not all that flavorful. They do offer a deal where you can pick three salads/sides for $ 10, but I find that usually one of my 3 dishes falls way short, ie raw potatoes, bland veggies, not enough salt, etc. I do pick up the day old bread when the Pumpernickel Onion Boule is still sitting on the shelf. I can nosh of that loaf for a while, and is the best bread I have had there. I think it costs $ 2, and is well worth the price. The fact that it is a day old means little to me as I usually slice it up, and toast it. Coffee has been decent, but nothing special, and service is usually good. For the $$$ though, I would rather walk to the other side of the shopping center, and sit down at the bar of their sister restaurant Piccolo Toscana for happy hour. In my opinion the food quality has been stepped up ever since their revamp about 6 months ago. If you’re in a bind though, Toscana to Go will do, but don’t expect too much.

A deli style carry-out or eat-in café for the restaurant which bares its name just a few doors down. Lots of vegetable and pasta dishes served by the pound and with an awesome spinach salad with candied pecans, sauteed mushrooms, crumbled blue cheese and your choice of grilled flank steak, chicken or shrimp. Tuscana is a good choice for grabbing good and slightly sophisticated sides for the dinner you’re planning when you don’t want to cook much more yourself than the main course. The negative here for me is both the price. While the quality of food seems good here, a spinach salad with cheese and a few grilled shrimp is hardly worth the price-tag it comes with, especially when none of the ingredients appear to be or are noted as organic. Recommended for a lunch for a side dish, but not a wallet-friendly choice in such tight economic times.

This is the carry out shop for the Toscana restaurant. Food quality is high and the staff helpful, but the dishes have been getting significantly blander over the years. The lasagna is typically good, but almost very thing else in the case or on the menu is normally a bland disappointment.
