I recently visited Videll Day Spa and was treated with the most professional manner. My experience was great! Videll herself was very pleasant and fun to talk to. She made me feel comfortable about the services provide. She explained everything in detail for after care. I didnt have any problems. I will be returning.

Had a Groupon for a 60 minute facial. It was really a waste of my time and money because I didn’t enjoy the facial at all. The place is I guess sort of shabby chic cute but not the type of décor I expect in a spa. Videll, the owner, did not appear all that professional. She was out when I arrived. Although to be fair I was a little early. She didn’t unclog pores or apply steam to my face. After applying mask she said she’d be back in 5 to 10 minutes but took way longer — more like 20 – 25 mins. I felt she was sort of stretching the time. It was all in all not a relaxing facial experience. I will not be going back.

I too got a groupon and was not pleased with the service — even at the discount rate. As other reviewers commented, it was not as long as advertised but that was okay with me as i was ready to go. The facial was the worst I’ve ever had — she kept rubbing my nose shut — constantly. I do need to breath… And the massage was more of a rub down. I won’t be going back.

Meh. I’ve experienced better. you got that right. I came here for a 60 minute Swedish Massage via groupon. To make an appointment: I called and left a message on two different days. I never got a call back. I went online and saw you can make an appointment online(requires a credit card to do this which I have experienced before with salons) so I made the appointment, got a confirmation of «request» email… and then … crickets! At 10:30PM the night before the appointment, someone called me and told me their were no appointments and she could make something for the following week. so I made the appointment via phone. At 11:15PM I got another call from the salon to make an appointment. It was serious confusion and rude to call so late, but I brushed it off. I got to my appointment 10 minutes early and there was no one there. The salon is nice and clean looking so I sat down in the lobby area. I wasn’t sure how long I should wait, so I waited until my appointment time when someone finally came out from the back. She called someone on the phone and told them I was there and then told me her masseuse was having dinner and would be right back. No big deal, I mean these people have lives too. She finally arrived and took me back told me to undress to my comfort level and she would be right back. I looked at my watch and it was 6:20 and the massage still hadn’t started. A few minutes later, she came in… not very friendly, but I’m not there to be her friend I just wanted a massage. An «OK» massage followed, I have had better. I felt like she took a lot of breaks between each area, at one point I wasn’t sure if she was still in the room. Finally, she finished and left the room. I looked at my watch and it was 7:04. So the 60 minute Swedish massage is actually around 40 minutes of actual massage. When she left, she said that she was going to have water waiting for me in the lobby. I was irritated about the time of the massage but thought I should still tip 20%. I got dressed and walked out to the lobby and again there was no one there. no employees… no customers… no people… nothing. there was a glass of water on top of the cooler, I assume that was for me but I really didn’t even want to drink it not knowing if it was even a clean glass. I left a 10% tip on the counter and left. Then I see her peeling off in her SUV from the parking lot. Customer service is lost on this place. a spa day isn’t supposed to be stressful. What can I say, I am glad i had a little discount via groupon and I won’t go back.

I have to say, the salon is cute and cozy, but the service wasn’t the best. I had purchased a Living Social voucher to have a facial, massage, and body scrub with my mom & we had everything provided together. We had two employees who serviced us; one employee was fantastic. She did our facials and was SO sociable with us; we really enjoyed our time with her. Apparently she is not working at this spa anymore; she went to Bliss Unisex Day Spa in Newark DE. Now, the woman who provided our body scrubs and massages was not sociable at all. It was almost like WE had to try to spend extra energy just to keep her in a positive mood. The massages weren’t personal or triggered to any knots, she literally just squeezed us on and off roughly. The body scrub also wasn’t enjoyable, she was way too rough. Her unapproachable attitude made it hard to confront her so my mother and I just kept our mouths shut. I probably wouldn’t go back for services there with a LivSoc voucher, let alone pay full price for these services.
